Well, I am down 2.3 pounds this week and am thrilled. I am only shooting for one pound per week. I love this not weighing every day. It takes a lot of stress off me and when I weighed this morning I felt pretty confident I would be down a pound. Still in deep ketosis even though I had a slice of our first tomato from the garden last night and lots of salty bacon. I made Dh a BLT and he said it was delicious.

Will check back later after I get some work done around the house. Have a great day gang!

Bacon and eggs for breakfast, hamburger on oopsie buns for lunch, an ounce of sharp cheddar cheese for snack. Not letting myself get too hungry.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

I have to control of my eating and this seems the best way.

Just cooked up a batch of oopsie buns and took some pulled pork out of the freezer. I will bring a little low carb catsup to have on my sandwiches.

Yesterday besides the two hamburgers on the oopsie buns I had an oz of cheese and a salad.

Have a great day gang!

Down 3 today, but did this also last Monday-Tuesday and then lost it the rest of the week gaining it back.
.... I will stick with it this week....Just have to do it...

Yesterday 425 calories
Today unlimited meat, sticking to 3 meals today...
I find I need a distraction from food. It varies on what I do. Somewhere I read that you have to replace food addiction with something else. I find this has been true for me in the past. I have knitted, read, exercised and watched TV. Except with TV I find problems with food commercials. If I watch online I can omit the commercials. My latest replacement is the series, Orphan Black. I didn't think I would like it at first but now I do, or at least I do for now...

B: coffee/hwc, 2 eggs, 3 pieces bacon
L: tuna salad or chicken on 1 C lettuce, pork rinds
D: large hamburger with pepper jack cheese
S: Chocolate fat bomb

drinks: power zero gatorade, diet soda & ice water

Have a great day!

Cheryl...thanks for that...we are definitely not alone...
I joined some more groups on low carb and IF on facebook.
One person refered to a site carbsyndrome where a doctor
was trying to help his type ii diabetes patient after he
said 'what the heck should I eat?' and really sometimes
this is how I feel (and others I am sure) most of the time.
what to eat, who to believe, doctors, nutritionists...etc
The doctor gave him a reference to the 12 tips for healthy
eating by Dr Wilson. I agree with all of these things.
If I reread them, maybe I can get my mind in the right
place to do this...

Hey Cheryl and Julie! We sure do ponder and stress over what we should eat, what we shouldn't eat and what makes us fall off our woe. I have stressed about my weight, lost weight, gained weight so many times over a very long time. I wish I had some concrete solutions.

down 2 pounds today, so far so good....
researching what people do during plateaus...
today its meat buffet today (only when hungry)
B: coffee/hwc
S: chicken leg
L: beef strips with salad and/or pork rinds
S: chicken leg
D: rotisserie chicken
S: coffee, chocolate fat bomb

On my 400 cal days(or DD) I'm trying to eat at 5pm and then at 6pm
SF chocolate (40 cals)/coffee.
I found a thing I did yesterday when I was hungry at 4pm and it worked.
I sliced up a small pickle to 12 slices and ate them every 10 minutes
with some green tea...weird I know, but it curbed my hunger till
I ate at 5pm....

Well, I was down 1.8 pounds so I am very satisfied with that. It would be wonderful if I can continue to lose at least one pound a week. As long as I can stay in ketosis and keep my eating very low carb, mainly meat, fish, eggs and a little cheese I think I can keep this steady loss going. Still can't believe I am not weighing every day. What a relief and a lot less stress that is. I always felt I needed to weigh that often to keep a lid on my weight and not let it get totally out of hand. But this time around I feel pretty confident I won't gain any and should lose that pound every week if I keep on with my program.

tuna oopsie sandwiches for snack and lunch today. Last night I ate a hamburger with tomato on an oopsie bun for dinner.

Have a great Saturday today. I will be working overtime all day. Looking forward to that paycheck next Friday!

Abigale - awesome loss!! So happy for you!!

I am at same weight, at least I didn't gain...
Meat only today...
I am getting some landscaping done today.
It feels good to get rid of an overgrown rose bush.
I'm going for low maintenance in the yard, I don't
want to trim bushes, etc any more.

Have a great day!

Found a yummy LC Caesar salad dressing I had tonight with chicken/lettuce
(I used lemon extract with alcohol)

1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
a few grates of Lemon zest
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 teaspoon anchovy paste
pinch salt
a few grinds black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
tiny cubes Parmesan cheese, optional
Instructions

Whisk together the mustard, zest, lemon juice, anchovy paste, salt, pepper, olive oil, and 1 tablespoon Parmesan until creamy in appearance. Remove a teaspoon of the dressing and toss to coat.

Mmmmm Julie. I love Ceasar salad and your dressing sounds wonderful!

I just cooked up a pound of bacon in the oven and have been munching on it for awhile. We will go out for breakfast at 9 but I am usually starving by then and my stomach growls at inappropriate times during church. Very embarrassing. So I try to eat something before I go. I will have my usual bacon and eggs at the restaurant.

Hope you all have a great day. Will check back later!

Abigale - the bacon sounds yummy and good plan for anticipating the hunger...
I read another Atkins72 person say she always keeps this available when going out and not knowing if she will be able to eat on plan.
Trying to get motivated to do some work in the yard, but may just do laundry and/or knit/read...
Have a great day.

Hey Julie, I made some oopsie buns after I got back home and am cooking up several hamburgers from a one pound pack. I can just reheat them in the microwave at work for lunches this week.

Got a bit of a craving for something salty and crunchy after DH got into some of his snack food. Fortunately I try to keep a bag of pork skins on hand at all times. They really can be life savers!

Got my oopsie/hamburger lunch all packed for work. I always make my coffee for work at home. I just reheat it in the microwave. Our breaks are short and lunch time is only 30 minutes. The one cup machine in the breakroom takes forever to heat up so bringing mine already made saves so much time. I have those reusable little screen and plastic make your own one cup containers. Have used them for over a year now and they are still in good shape. I have saved a bundle using bags of ground coffee and filling the little cups.

Still in moderate ketosis!

Have a great day gang!

These are really great tips Abigale. I gotta make a batch of those oopsie buns but right now I can't because I don't know if I can trust myself, I may eat them all... in one day... I was going to try making one in the microwave... I also use bacon as a salty treat but the pork skins work well too...

down .6 today, better down than up I say...

Abigale - I was thinking of this over the weekend and wanted to know what you thought and/or experienced. Friday was my IF day and during that work day I had quite a bit of stress. Saturday when I weigh in I found that even though I did not cheat on my IF day I did not lose any weight. I find that if this situation occurs the weight is on a type of plateau and I don't lose the weight or see anything loss on the next day. My feeling here is that our bodies are biologically tuned into protecting ourselves, so that when we feel stress and/or the stress hormone is higher our body goes into a protection mode. When the stress is gone or lower then the body will allow us to lose weight. Its the body's method to protect from stress. Also in the past when I have had stress I have exercised, but on my IF days I do not exercise. I wonder if I had exercised to ward off the stress I might have seen a loss the next day. I just wondered if you read anything about this...
Sorry for long post, have a great day.

Hello I am reading an interview between mercola and scientist Krista Varady (she has a book of course) that discusses intermittent fasting, 5:2 and every other day fasting. I think its interesting that they comment, to do this diet you have to be have the obsessive-compulsive drive, which is what I remember about this diet when I've done it before.
