Oh Juno the eggs.....YAY well that was worth a punt then

I think you mean is Full 30 similar to Paleo?? Not Pilates Lol. I.ll forgive your wine drenched brain lol.

It is very similar to Paleo but I think it may be more restrictive. Haven't really gone into Paleo but have been told that. Actually I should research..note to myself!

However, I started another Full 30 again yesterday and after a very good Easter of no chocolate just some champagne and wine. Today at my miserable job I have mucked up big time. Confession time!! I joined in with you today Shy and ate a huge Costco Scone and if anyone knows what they are like they are humungous and delicious...with cherries and fruit blah blah blah...one scone could probably feed two people. But I was so hungry after my lunch of 2 boiled eggs and carrots and it was just begging me...now I feel so guilty Still I have shared my guilt so that's OK..ha ha.

Trip to hairdressers didn't go as planned yesterday as in my infinite wisdom I decided to only have two colours in my hair instead of the usual 3 the third one being a dirty blonde colour and now its too blonde and doesn't suit me.,.but hey she can fit me in tomorrow night and put some dirty blonde in to break it up a little...

Glad that you all had great Easters...

Thank you for the hotel recommendations Juno friends pad sounds fabulous!

Sorry to hear about your mum, Shy. She moved closer to you, didn’t she? No fake tan or hair colours here, though the assistant in a clothes shop I went in last week was trying to persuade me to wear lipstick.

Lol, you do make me laugh. I can't even go to the gym without the full face on, hopeless I am.

Sorry to hear about your Mum being poorly shy, but at least she is close and hand now to keep an eye on her.

I am seeing the scales move down which is good but I still have a tummy that is not looking good. Off to the gym shortly.

Hi Gang,

Hope everyone is OK...quiet on here. Hope that the scales are going down for you Kissa and everyone else.

I.m still on the full 30 but not seeing any more loss at the moment. Love the programme so will stick with it and then at the end of the month adapt to Paleo.

Bank holiday weekend and lovely weather isn't it NOT! Hopefully, it will be dry. We managed to clear the last of our loft last week so it only took from January to get it done but its done YAY. Might take some of the bigger stuff to car boot on Sunday as DD also moving and got loads of things she can sell and needs the £££'s...

Not much more to tell. Clean eating weekend, fish steak, salad yes but no wine But its got to be done.

Have a lovely time.

Lots of sunshine here - well actually not! Hot & Overcast!!!

As some of you know, we're just back from a lovely month in the UK with the woman in Peru (been back 9 days) and it looks like our next holiday (only 3 weeks this time!) will be in 2 months - so I really need to kick some butt!!!! Off to Australia this time!

Anyway, this means I head back to the tried and tested - UDDD!! Here's to giving it another shot!

Hope everyone is well - will try to be more communicative!!

Just to say that my hands/arms are not swelling as much and I hope to be back to posting soon. (Long story short, I injured them doing some rescue drills and it's taken a long time for the swelling to abate.)

It's so beautiful with the light mornings and longer days: I'm hoping to paddle more this season.

Good to see you back Slow. Sorry about your arms hope that you feeling a little better soon. Yes I agree, I love the light evenings and get quite depressed when September arrives.

Weather naff here as usual raining...why do they tease us with good days then give us a load of bad days.

Mint it must be so hard for you to keep on plan with all the holidays etc. Hope you get back into the groove soon.

Shy sorry cannot help I am loathed really to suggest any bars cos all the people I have read that eat them stall their weight loss I always keep a supply of hard boiled eggs (if you like them) and chopped up carrots and beet in a pot.

Off down to Spain tomorrow for a few days..well nearly a week YAY...some sunshine there fore sure - even if its cloudy it.ll be warm. Just need to be careful that I don't put too much of my 5lbs loss back on.

Enjoy.

Hello everyone .

Lola, have a wonderful time in Spain. And lots of sunshine!

Shy, all the protein bars I’ve ever tried have been disgusting. I’d pack a handful of Baby Bel cheeses or something.

Mint, lovely to see you!

We were away over the weekend for my father’s 80th birthday. It’s nice to be home again.

I’m still hovering around 8st 1 or 2. That’s a pretty good weight for me, but I’d quite like to go down another couple of pounds, just to see a 7 . I’m doing two down days a week for now, hoping to get a slight downward trend, and also to compensate for a few weekends away or with visitors.

thanks all and yes if these were planned days for being out i would take things like u suggest but this is for those odd emergency days where i seem to go out planning on being back for lunch and wham i dont get home til 4. i agree most are disgusting and stall u but the odd time i was hoping something new might have come to the market but seems not GRRR

lola enjoy your days in the sun at least u know u arent missing sun back home, just rain!!!

ailuros glad u had a nice time with your dad and i am sure your couple pounds will shift soon

I like Jack Link's bars - not even vaguely like a cereal bar as they are various jerky meats but I find them tasty and portable albeit pricey. They're nothing like as dry or overly chewy as most jerkeys.

Hi Mum - glad it's going sooooo well!!!

All good here - 5 1/2lbs down since last Tuesday - quite pleased about that!!!

Big couple of days ahead - training - so at least steps should go up - I'm extremely sedentary here!!!! Particularly when prepping for a training day!

Okay - off to the printers - hope you're all doing well!

Kissa, I’ve always wanted to see Machu Picchu! The whole trip sounds wonderful. I’m not chasing the 7 very hard . I’m 8st 2 this morning, about the same as a month ago. Still, we had friends staying for a week, a long weekend in France and a long weekend at my parents’ in that month, so I’m not complaining about staying the same. I’ve been doing 5:2 all except the week with visitors, and I’ll carry on with that.

Vicky, well done!! That’s a great start.

Shy, maybe you could find the jerky bars on line. They’d probably keep well enough that you could order a few to have on hand for “emergencies.”

Bother, the Jack Link's meat bars online have become horribly and even more expensive - however, if you look on Amazon UK for
Gift Set Easter Basket with crazy Jack Link's meat snacks
the accompanying photograph has two of the bars that I mean (albeit the front bars are beef altho' the turkey bar at the back is my favourite).

Jerky House UK has them for a staggering price but...they are good and very portable.

Turkey Snack
Per 100 g

Energy: 904 KJ / 216 Kcal
Protein: 29,6 g
Carbohydrate: 11,2 g
Fat: 5,8 g

Each bar is 22.5g so low in calories (<50kcal/22.5g)
Less than 1.5g fat per 22.5g Pack

The beef snack bar nutrition per 100g is:
Energy: 1309 KJ / 312 Kcal
Protein: 27,8 g
Carbohydrate: 21,5 g
Fat: 12,6 g

The same place also mentions a product that I haven't tried: Torrido meat chips (a crisp-like product) in both beef and pork.
Low in calories (64kcal/25g)
Only 1.6% carbohydrate - Low Carb

I'm a big fan of the snack bars but they're so expensive that I'd be mortified if you forked out that much and loathed them.

Thanks for all the info slow, much appreciated, why is it we can get some sugary rubbish for 10p a bar but something healthy is SSOOO expensive. I shall investigate more. It's really just for emergencies so I don't have to resort to pizza like the other day. Honestly not even a flipping maccy d's!!!!

Those sound like good emergency supplies. And better than an Atkins Bar! Bad luck about the Pizza, but if you do have to eat carbs, it would be my choice!

Well done Vicky, great start. Hope the training goes well, I know how much work you have put into it.

Here I am at Machu Picchu. It is all I hoped for and more. Just breathtaking, with wisps of mist floating around it like a scene from a movie. We are here overnight and will go in again at 6.30 tomorrow when it opens and before the crowds arrive. I feel so privileged.

I have to eat for England as this is an all inclusive deal and costs an arm and a leg....so much for Intuitive JUDDING.
