Ailuros you have done so well with JUDDD 6:1 impressive. and even if you have to go back to 5:2 you have reached your goal weight. Fantastic.

Kissa I am sure that you will soon bounce back if you have bounced up.

Slow....I hate it when people have lost weight and no one says.

There is a woman at my gym and she is starting to lose weight and its noticeable I don't know her but however rude it may have seemed I told her the other day that she was losing weight and she looked good....(oh dear did that sound like you were fat and ugly before then dear ) so guess you do have to be careful! Luckily, she took the compliment and was really chuffed.

I am on day 8 of my whole 30 plan and not finding it a chore. Only gripe is black coffee but its for a month then will review what the results show.

Off to body pump then hair appointment. No work today Just be my luck to be stuck in the hairdressers and the sun will come out...which is forecast.

Juno, Mint and everyone else who is ready hi hi

Oooh and Pinch and a punch.April Fool....DH thought he would catch me out but luckily I was too quick for him he he

Have a good one.

Hope the Whole 30 works well for you, Lola. I think the intermittent fasting was just the right thing at the right time for me, and it was very easy to do because my husband had decided to fast completely every other day. (He’s still doing that, because he had a lot more weight to lose than I did.)

Happy April lovely ladies!

Kissa - unskiing and sitting in the sunshine in the snow will surely be fabulous. Grats on the maintaining!

Ailuros - grats on the almost proper heating! Slowly getting there.

Mimosa - hope the chore weekend went well, sometimes those can be just what the doctor ordered. Is the shoulder better?

lola - yay for surprise visits from kids, sounds wonderful.

In the end, everyone I saw did comment and I was embarassed every time. I think it's because they haven't seen me in the three months that it took to get here, so it's a leap from where I was.
Now that you all say it, I realize that not one of my Paris-based friends whom I see every other week have said anything. And I don't think any of us have rude friends! =)

Amin I think probably the Paris friends haven't noticed because they see you more often and the loss was gradual (the best). However, great that everyone else noticed YAY

Ailuros I think that there is a plan out there which is right for some but not others. Its just finding the one that is right for you. You have done fab on JUDDD

I so wanted JUDDD to work for me but as you know I got nowhere. Both times I did IF for 6 weeks but lost nothing. I think that I have wrecked my metabolism so much over the years with fierce dieting that on the UD's my body grabbed the calories so fiercely this it wasn't going to let them go in anticipation of the next starvation day lol.

So fingers xx'd this WOE is the right plan for me.

Yay to the sunshine....bring on the summer I say he he.

Lovely sunshine, we drove to Devon along the 303 today and everything looked beautiful. I can't quite believe I am going to the Alps on Saturday, madness.

It doesn’t seem like skiing weather!

We have friends arriving on Saturday for a few days, then I’m off to France for a long weekend with my old twinning association — so will be staying with a family in Normandy. I don’t know the people I’m staying with this time, but both sides of the twinning are small town/village sized places where everyone knows everyone else, so I’m sure it will go well.

Lola - totally with you. Gradually seeing the loss doesn't seem to register for people.
Did I miss something maybe, what's this thing you're doing now?

Ailuros - bienvenue! Hope the weather in France stays nice; it's currently 22 degrees and sunshine, soooo lovely, I just long to get outside, counting down the hours until lunchbreak!

Kissa - going in the "wrong" direction, i.e., towards the snow when spring time finally hits is indeed a bit odd. But it will be warm and sunny up there too. Lounge chair, cup of something (I was going to say glühwein but realized that's not really according to plan lol), sunglasses, sorted.

I don't downhill ski (I think I'd like cross country skiing tho'). But, ever since reading David Lebovitz's account of La Gruyère double cream that he had in Switzerland, I've wanted to join a skiing trip, solely to sample that. (It's a very local speciality and they don't export it.)

I have a number of kayak weekends from late May to early July and I'm looking forward to those but I'd very much appreciate some time in the sun now if I could get it.

Excellent, that's decided then. Kissa, please enjoy some glühwein and think of us!

I'm your girl for the wine, I will force down some Glüwein, but it is a bit sweet for me....

Had a great day today, wonderful Zumba class and some great shopping with Vicky. Then lovely SIL cooked dinner for us.

Yes the cream does sound lush lush......and wine hmmmmm

None of that for me for another 2 weeks..lol...but I am enjoying this way of eating and I can see it working...my tum which had gained a little mound has shrunk so that makes me happy. Not supposed to weigh for 30 days. However, that isn't going to happen I will be peeking this weekend. lol.

Shrinking tummy is excellent! Does the plan have a longer term part, after the 30 days?

You gradually bring back in the dairy and a few carbs if you want...although I don't really do many carbs anyway. If you haven't hit goal you just carry on with the plan. Its more or less Paleo I think but with a few different tweeks.

I told the plumber I was going to wander around the house naked for the next month to enjoy being warm again.

What a terrible trial it has been for you throughout the winter...but you made it. 4 days was enough for me so I cannot even begin to imagine.

Glad you had a wonderful time, Shy.

We’ve got friends (2 parents, 2 children) coming this afternoon for a few days, then I’m going to France next weekend, so I don’t think I’ll be staying at my recent low . I finally have at least a bit of energy though, so I’m actually looking forward to spending time with my friends instead of just feeling overwhelmed by the idea as I have for the last few years.

Good to see you back Shy...yep get back on the plan and weigh next week. Glad that you had a nice time.

Have a lovely time Ailuros at least you are at target and the odd little blip here and there won't hurt...you will soon be back to your low.

Nice weekend to all.

Had a super day kayaking - and now smartening myself up enough to go to the cinema to watch the live broadcast of La Boheme tonight.

So pleased you enjoyed your time away, Shy.

What bliss to have hot water, Ailuros.

I hope we're all having a good weekend.
