Cheryl induction is going ok, parmesan crusted chicken and broccoli slaw for supper. Made the guys French fries and didn't eat any. Day two but day 3, I always get the induction flu so that's why I picked it start on a Thursday. We were going to go in the bush tomorrow but its going to be -39C wind-chill. I am so tired of winter , please Spring you can come anytime!!! A friend of mine who is up and she is coming over for wine but I only have red so I am safe ok I will have a little rye it is Friday But I am going to not give in to food. Got a turkey tonight for Sunday, not a big one but was just 35.00 dollars so it will be great. I have no idea why I am craving Turkey! Going to invite some friends for dinner on Sunday and make it special. I do love my Turkey

I just saw this recipe on FB for Bacon Ranch Dressing.. It looks very good and induction friendly. I was glad to see the Apple Cider Vinegar in it as well, since that is my new addition to my daily routine.

Here is the recipe:
Bacon Ranch Dressing
5 Strips Bacon – Cooked Crisp and Crumbled
½ Cup Mayonnaise
½ Cup Sour Cream
1 Clove Garlic – Minced
1 Tbs. Fresh Parsley – Chopped
1 Tbs. Fresh Chives – Chopped
2 tsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tsp. Fresh Dill – Chopped
½ tsp. Onion Powder
¼ tsp. Sea Salt
1/8 tsp. Black Pepper

DIRECTIONS
In a large mixing bowl, combine bacon, mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic, parsley, chives, apple cider vinegar , dill, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated. Refrigerate at least one hour before serving.

Makes Servings: 12
Per Serving: 2 Tbs.

Protein – 2 g
Carbs – Less than 1 net g

That looks really good V !

Jo did you enjoy your Turkey. Brrr it's cold there! We are Springlike here but are supposed to get 3-5 " of snow tomorrow. It won't be around long tho.

DH is at the lake working on the septic. At least until it starts raining/ snowing. If the weather and machinery would cooperate he could get this thing done.

GB you've been quiet.

Pat enjoy your skiing

Misty back from Boston?

Turkeys thawing having it tomorrow for supper. I am having leftovers tonight and the boys are making pizza. I have discovered powerade zero orange that you just squirt in your water, loving it but should of got more then one. V sounds like a good recipe. Had a very lazy day and spent the afternoon baking with my boys. But I don't intend to try any of their treats..*L*

Yes...feel for the families. My brother was missing for 10 days before we found the car crash. Really rips a person up.

I thought from beginning a possibility of just landing somewhere after flying under radar for a ways.

No when are you going to warm up there?

We were supposed to get a bunch of snow but the temps are staying above freezing so it has been rain.

MG.

Well it's snowing like crazy. No change on the septic at Lah. . Pump wouldn't work. Again. So he is grouting the bathroom. It's just raining there.

Pat I'm hitching a ride to Maui they door to the safe room had to be made so it's not done yet. It will weigh about # 400. After it is installed they will do the commercial.

Deb a boy huh?

Must be Canadian Turkey day. You and Jo.

Jo my phone auto corrected your name to No earlier post

Wow I am behind talk about a talkative weekend! Deb my turkey is smelling so good right now how about yours? Have company coming for supper, didn't plan on making stuffing because I love it but one guest was wanting my dressing so much so I gave in but only used on loaf of bread instead of two so hopefully they will eat it all. Pretty much sure they will . I just need to stay out of it. Gob once over a year ago someone got upset because we talked about lot of stuff not just our WOE. There was a lot of joking around and that person got up and left us. But the fact is our Woe is just part of our lives and having fun and joking around and crying on someone's shoulder is also part of our lives. We are about real life and yes we are all trying to lose weight or maintain but that's no who we are that just part of us. Never ever worry about talking to much, heck look at Deb I love her but she is a gabber When it stops being fun why bother? Life is about our health our laughter and out happiness. We all have bad days and good days but at the end of the day were just people here for each other. So talk away this group doesn't mind at all. We all learn from each other.

Karen that must of been so hard to go through, I cant even imagine the toll it would take on a person. I think the plane was hijacked to and I hope they are alive somewhere. My oldest son is a pilot and so I worry a lot but he loves his job. I think the words I say more to him even more then I love you is Fly Safe. Cheryl if you on track you know you will start losing, but we have to love the honeymoon. I wont get weighed to next weekend because I know I was up and I want to give it a chance. I know it works for me just need to stick with it. Hope your weather warms up soon. I think hell froze over up here right about now. We can do this together Pat no , not organic and not large 6 Kgs, times 2.2 gives you the weight in lbs. But it was cheap for here and I love love turkey. MG glad to have you with us, heck you my neighbor , well closer then most. I am going to be down your way for Easter, ok well north of you but close I am sure you will like this group were fun. What can I say we are. Are you have turkey tonight seems to be the Canadian thing to do. Cheryl no is my favorite word , hope your snow stops and we start warming up. Pretty sick of this winter and I love winter.

Deb I did stuff it and that will be hard for me but I will make the gravy induction friendly and enjoy. We will be 8 for supper and I will enjoy a glass or two of wine. I seem to do ok as long as I stay the heck away from any gluten. Both our company coming for supper are doctors one has to work in Emerg at 8 and the other is the hospitalist this week so no one will overdo the wine but I cant wait for supper. I do love the smell of turkey. A lot of people love those Turkey breast but since I love dark meat not sure how that would work for me. Enjoy your turkey , I plan on making great soup with the bones.

You know the saying keep your doctors close *LOL* just kidding they are both great friends and you can be sure there are lot of doctors that I would never invite to supper. I make my gravy with Glucomannan powder instead of flour or corn-starch and no one ever notices. So I can eat it and everyone else does. If you use it always remember a little thickens a long way. I am not even half way through the bag I bought over 2 years ago but it still works fine. Love soup!! Turkeys done sitting and waiting to be sliced.
