Cut the Crap! (AGAIN)

We had an AMAZING 8 weeks, so we're doing it again! Everyone is welcome!

You've made excuses and allowances and now you realize that it's TIME TO CUT THE CRAP!

The next 8 weeks will be an intense opportunity to kick your bad habits to the wayside and get your CRAP together. Let's see who Cut's their crap and who is Full of crap!

Rules:

1) Eat on plan everyday (whatever that may be for you)
2) Incorporate exercise into your routine (real exercise, not activities of daily living)
3) You must truly commit to this challenge. No, you cannot drop out! I will be watching through the computer monitor. I'll know "when you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake!" [ahem, sorry for that holiday tune... back to the rules.]
4) You determine your success. If you eat off plan or don't get your exercise in, you are the one who is full of crap! If you complete the necessary steps, you Cut the crap that week.
5) Each week you will calculate your points as follows: 1 point for each day of eating on plan; 2 points for each DAY you exercise.

*If you are working on weight loss-1 bonus point for weeks where you see a loss! Maintainers-1 pt bonus each week that you remain within your maintenance range!!!*

* Bonus points will be available periodically throughout the challenge, so check in regularly
.
Post your weekly total and cumulative total of points each Sunday! (ex: Week 2: 14 pts, Total points: 28 pts)
6) The person who scores the highest will be the reigning CTC King/Queen. Feel free to place your crown in your siggy!
7) No excuses. No coddling. No its oks (when itís really not). No hand holding. The only person who can do this for you is YOU!

So who is ready to cut the crap and get happy and healthy?

Challenge begins Sunday, March 2 and runs through April 19!

Who will reign supreme?

*Please note the bolded. Those are Changes! I'm going to periodically add bonus challenges this time to keep things interesting this time around.

mcchimento 02-26-2014 08:15 PM

As an added challenge to myself I will drink 100 oz of water per day, and give up (gulp :( ) diet sodas.

What makes me smile: My kitty cat, Kiki. She is the CUTEST little thing and just thinking about her warms my heart. (oh, yea, and my husband, too. :hyst:)

Tyl 02-27-2014 01:25 PM

SlowSure 02-27-2014 01:35 PM

Name: SlowSure
Challenge Goals: to continue to maintain within a good range for me (currently 120-125lbs)
What makes you smile: family; water jets; being on the water; rainbows; plants; puddles; leaf-kicking; the taste of snow as it's falling.

DesertGurl 02-27-2014 01:56 PM

TOTALLY IN!

After my horrendous output last challenge I need to do this one to prove to myself that I can do it. :p

NAME: Danielle

CHALLENGE GOALS: While I will most likely be higher in weight than when we ended the last one  I will be aiming for a much smaller weight loss goal... I'll shoot for 10lbs -- I tend to average about 6'ish lbs per month so this will be pretty doable.

OH, and the other "goal" here is to NOT get hurt or get sick through any of this :hyst:

WHAT MAKES ME SMILE: The sheer fact that I REFUSE to give up.
That, and of course my lovely husband who thinks I'm hot no matter what I weigh

Bring it ladies!

ladyboss7 02-27-2014 02:05 PM

Yay, everyone's coming back!!!

Tracy, I love cats!! (and dogs) And I am IMPRESSED that you're going to give up diet soda!!! I don't drink much of that anymore....but I sure don't want to give up the little bit that I DO drink!! :p

SlowSure, maybe during this challenge you won't have to contend with so much flooding!!

Danielle, you're too funny!!! Yes your challenge is to survive the next 8 weeks with no injuries or illnesses! Your hubby is a good man!!! :shake:

Tyl, thanks for starting us up again....this is going to be an AWESOME 8 weeks!!!

Let's do this!!! :high5:

DesertGurl 02-27-2014 02:33 PM

Ha! Tracy, I call my youngest DD Kiki... it's ok, we won't tell your husband that Kiki makes you happier than him  ;)

Tammy, my husband threatens to put me in a bubble all the time... I am a major klutz, and any random thing that can happen always finds me!

Tyl 02-27-2014 04:41 PM

It's so much more manageable in 8 week increments!

Tyl 02-28-2014 11:31 AM

so..... I need to work on my arms... my beyonce dress has sleeves... which makes me a bit nervous... my arms are usually the last thing to shrink.... i'm thinking I may need to do so weights or something... I know callanetics always helped me shrink but there was only one arm exercise... so... i'm gonna do some research to see what some good arm exercises may be.... that will be another goal for me.... (I am hoping to not have to do the 100 pushup challenge...lol)

mrstmitch 02-28-2014 04:15 PM

Tyl, that Callanetics arm exercise is a reallly effective one! I have a DVD that suggests doing it with hand weights for more intensity, too.

Dani, we're going to have to insist that you remain injury/illness free through this one! :aprayer: I have an awesome husband that loves me no matter what, too. He's a keeper!

Tammy, I really don't WANT to give up sodas, but I'm afraid they may be part of the cause of my weight loss stall last month. So I really have to get tough with myself. :muscles:

SlowSure, I'm going to be hoping and praying :aprayer: that the weather improves so you can get out in your kayak!

mcchimento: SOOOO glad you're going to join us!! Looking forward to getting to know you and working through the challenge together!

Tyl 02-28-2014 04:52 PM

Tracy... Do u think just doing the arm exercise on its own would work? I might try that and see how it looks after 10 tries!

mcchimento 03-01-2014 12:37 PM

Setting up my check in. I am trying to get back on track today after taking three days off and had gained 2 lbs. I hope to get back to my lowest weight within the week.

What makes you smile: Being with my grand daughter even though she is so much work for me. This is why I need to lose; so that I can keep up with her.

Tyl 03-02-2014 11:23 AM

Yes, actually, I do! Do it consistently on a daily basis, (Maybe add some hand weights as it starts getting easier) and I am sure you will see results!

mrstmitch 03-02-2014 06:05 PM

Checking in CTC 3-- Day 1

Well, I'm drinking water and making a lot of trips to the bathroom :hyst: I'm convinced I will be able to see some better results if I keep this up! I didn't lose ANY weight in Feb... I lost 4.75 inches, though, but I can do better.

Tammy: I want to be in Onderland, too, although I think it will be the end of April before I see it. Hope, hope... :aprayer:

Wow... A cat named Kiki. I get excited when I see my name because its rare, but never a seen a cat named Kiki. Lots of people nicknamed Kiki but not there true name. Now there was a giraffe born here at the Greenville Zoo and they named him Kiko, and I was so excited- so close. :)

I'm going to follow from the sideline. I'm horrible at checking in, but I need the motivation!

mcchimento 03-03-2014 07:50 AM

Checking in Week 1: Start weight: 244.8

Weight is down to 242.0. Finally ate on plan all day! No exercise yet though. Will start today!

Points: Day 1: 1 point

ladyboss7 03-03-2014 10:47 AM

Good morning ladies!!

Quick check in, things are ridiculously busy today as it's Monday AND the first of the month!! I have well over $100k in rent to process and my system is down, not allowing me to process a thing!!! Then, my BEST maintenance tech just came in and give me his two weeks notice, a rival management company offered him WAY more money than I compete with and of course he's got to take it....I would too in his position.....but it still puts me in a bad spot! Oh my goodness....what a Monday!!

Food is on track today, and thankfully I don't have any bourbon in the house because after the morning I've had I'd be inclined to have some!! :p

Hope everyone is having a great day!!

Hey, BTW Tyl....I have a new favorite show....Have you watched Vikings yet??? It's pretty darn good!!

Yes, I actually did a search for pet names, and Kiki was on the list! It's a great name, and I love all the Kiki's I know!! :hugs:
