Yeah Team Canada--I was thrilled for them--USA Zilch!

But-we did get a bronze in 4 man bobsled after a 62 year dry spill! that was exciting!!

I am not crazy about the summer Olympics-but I did enjoy the winter and the best part was no terrorist activity! I was really worried there would be something happening! I do have a gripe though-I think it is terrible that our people have to pay taxes on their medals! that is just not right!

I was worried about the terroist activities too. On the taxes, they also earn $$$ for the medals too. You know the government, that want a piece of everything!

It's Tuesday ladies. Any day is better than Monday, right???

Busy day today--I have to run to the bank-then it is off the groomer for Dolly-she looks terrible-this is the first day my friend Val is back to grooming after having the radiation for her breast cancer-she has done well and is feeling like she can finally work again-I don't know if I told you that she fell during all of this and broke her knee and had to deal with that also-it has healed without surgery but she wasn't able to walk on it for a long time and was in a W/C so that delayed her recovery also-but things are looking up for her-I am thrilled to have her back to health! and this afternoon is my job!

Dolly is going to get all her hair cut off just in time to have another polar vortex arrive and freeze her little buns off--she is such a cold little bugger anyway-we cover her up at night with two blankies and she stays under there all night-she loves her blankies and her sweaters!

I started pulling my taxes together yesterday-uggg-I usually dont't start on that this soon but wanted to get it over with early this year if I can-hopefully it won't be too bad?

Catch you later ladies--Have a good one!

Jeanne--Glad to hear Val is on the mend. I hope she has a full recovery and complete remission.
So is Dolly all shaven now? I hope she stays nice and toasty in her sweater. We are down to 50 below ourselves. This weather is darn ridiculous!

Still ridiculously cold here.

Have done ok the last few days, but I am still having issues with night time snacking. I am eating way too many raw almonds. I know I could be eating worse things. But handfuls and handfuls of almonds are no good either.

Dolly is all groomed-thanks for the well wishes for my friend-she is doing very well-has more issues still with her broken knee but it will eventually improve-she will be on a anti-cancer agent for breast cancer for 5 years but that gives her the best chance of no return-most people do that with good results.

Taking mom to Jasper tomorrow shopping-she has some returns and needs some things-it will be a frigid day to shop!

I didn't fare well sticking to my plan last nite or today-not going to dwell on it-tomorrow I will be back on plan!

two days being an idiot again-back on plan today-I am getting a haircut this morning-going north-then picking mom up and taking her south out of town for shopping-another day out and about-have a great day-I have had horrible heartburn-another reason to get back on plan-has kept me awake for two nights-should sleep tonite I hope!

we are forecast for bad weather this weekend-again!!! freezing precipitation--the worst-give me snow-rather than ice! at least it is coming in on sunday so the kids should all be home and safe. come on spring! Michelle-I don't know how you take all this cold and snow? I am really sick of it-I could never live in Alaska-even watching that show-buying Alaska-is really hard for me to think about living in that for so many months out of the year--I guess if you grew up there and were used to nothing else--but I feel so much better with the sun shining-I would really prefer Florida if I didn't dislike hot weather so much--I need somewhere that stays about 60 all year long!

well--it's about time for me to leave-later girls-have a good one!

Jeanne - so glad for the update on your friend. CANCER is a horrible horrible thing! I wish they could rid us all of that! Dang, stinks about her knee. Is she is big woman? I know that can further cause issues with healing! Hopefully she only has healthy times ahead of her!!!!! San Diego CA sound like the place for you, or even San Fran! The temps don't get horribly HOT and they don't get awful cold either. Me, if money were not an issue and family being close not a problem....I would move to San Fran in a heart beat! I love that place!

Michelle - how are your FUR BABIES doing in the cold???? I am not a fan of the raw almonds. I prefer all my nuts to have a SALTY base to them!

If I won the lottery I would be so out of here! It is now the second coldest winter here in 100 years. It has been 72 consecutive days of it being below -30*C. That is too cold for too long. I need some heat!

Jeanne---What's making you waiver? You were the one who pointed out to us that we had to be more accountable. So what's the problem and how can we help? No more enabling here. We have to help each other do this for our health!

Jeanne--- Is there any sweets he eats that you don't really care for? For example..Marcel loves cinnamon buns and I really don't care for them. So if he wants something sweet when I go grocery shopping and I feel vulnerable I buy cinnamon buns. He's happy and I can usually pass on those and eat something meant for me. Maybe you can find something he likes and you could do without.

No plans here. Dull as usual.

Michlle has a good plan! Pick a sweet you don't like.

Stay safe Jeanne! They are calling for 6 inches of snow here Sunday. Time will tell!

We have had the day, to do stuff about the house !!! We bought $350 worth of light fixtures and we got them all installed. I am so happy. We replaced items that came with the house when we bought it almost 18 years ago!! About time, huh???

See what happens when I check in over a weekend....everyone scatters! LOL

Weekend was good. We had sleet/snow Saturday night into Sunday. It wasn't near as much as they predicted, so I am pleased. Sunday was a good day. We did church/SS and then Haven and I attended a Silpada party. Then we got home and stayed there. We watched a movie, Escape Plan, Sunday, it was good. Not great. Saturday night we watched Enough Said , it was OK, not good or great.

Did well on plan this weekend.

Saturday in addition to the light fixtures, DH had his eyes examined. BIFOCALS! So $575 later he has a pair of glasses and sunglasses ordered! It was an expensive Saturday!

Schools are closed here again-nothing new! we got ice then snow! and it is cold!

Monica-it is awful to get old and need glasses-it seems like when I hit 40-the very day I had to have glasses-overnite! and they sure aren't cheap! I would like to have Lasik but that is expensive too! Always fun to replace and refreshen things around the house!

I am back on plan today--old record-every Monday!

Michelle--hang in there my friend--we will continue this journey -painful as it is sometimes together--I am my own worst enemy--but there is comfort in knowing you guys are there to encourage and listen. Hugs

Jeanne - YOU CAN DO IT GIRL!!!!! So far, I don't need glasses. When I went last year I still had 20/20 vision. I was thrilled!

Michelle - My weight is up too! Dang it! I am not pleased either.

Weighed this morning after a good DD and I was up 175.4. Oh well, moving on

Monica-keep your focus girl-the weight will even out-just hang on--you know it will-you are so faithful with your plan! I admire your stick to it-ness!

Michelle-how is the big chill up there? wish you could win the lotto!! I see travel in your future-and lots of it! sounds dreamy

Monica-I don't think I have ever heard of you doing the big binges that I am so used to doing--eating and eating and eating boxes of stuff-hiding and eating-I have a bad pattern-I truly do-it just doesn't seem to ever improve with age or reasoning-sad but true.

Sorry I have been MIA. We have had intermittent internet. The frigid cold is reeking havoc on our service lines. It has been so cold that many houses and businesses here have had their water supplies freeze. It is getting ridiculous.

I am for sure not back on the straight and narrow. Bad car troubles here costing way to much money. So I have been eating my way through it. I'm just like you Jeanne my sister. I will never learn that I am only hurting myself. Oh well back to self loathing! Goodnight ladies.

Michelle-we are truly the same-I eat thru my stressors too! and they don't have to be big! sorry about the cold issues--I couldn't deal with that-I am fed up with the cold and snow this year alone-I don't know how you guys do it? get an OTT lite maybe? to help with the SAD issue? I would have to sit under it for 24 hours a day I think to lift my blues!

am headed south today to my endocrinologist--if she decreases my synthroid 4 times this year like last year I will scream! it just makes it harder and harder to lose the weight! I am taking Mom with me-she wants to ride the cart at Sams and she wants to do a little shopping-we will try to do TJ Maxx and Marshalls. It will be a big day for her! not sure if we can hit anymore than that with conking out. she is very slow.

have a great day ladies
