I LOVE MY SCALE!!!! I don't understand it, but today I LOVE MY SCALE I'm down another 1.2 lbs today!!

My phone interview got rescheduled to today and I still haven't heard back from the first place But on the bright side, I got a rejection letter from US Bank saying I didn't meet the qualifications to be a Teller Thirty gosh darn flipping years in banking/lending and I'm not qualified to be a Teller?

Oh, oh, my DD gave me a Keurig coffee maker yesterday for my birthday - don't worry, it's not till next month. She's horrible at keeping secrets so she gave it to me early. Does anyone know if they make BPC K-cups? Maybe I could invent them and become filthy rich!!

B: egg and bacon
L: ??
D: cooking up that 7 lb chicken we won on Monday!! Mashed cauli, salad
S: fat bomb bomb bomb, ba bomb bomb bomb

Kelly - I AM sleeping better after watching the kids! Step kids are the BEST - all the love and no labor My middle one is a step. DH and I each had 1 from our prior marriages and then added 1 of our own. His, hers and ours. He adopted mine when she was 6. His was 3 when we married. I don't like calling her a step but it does get confusing if I don't clarify some times.

Cheryl - ummm, spin class AND a personal trainer? Dang girl, you're putting this soon to be 49 year old to shame!! Sorry you don't have a 401k after all your years of service and in such a big job to boot - just sucks!! You deserve better!

Tammy - do you have your MOB dress? Post a pic if you can - would love to see it!!!!! I'm still gearing up for the fat fast - maybe this weekend.

Tasha - what's the word on your DD? Hope you're feeling better as well.

Michelle - glad you had a good time at the casino - I'm sure that water weight will drop right off! Yes, we officially start Monday and I think we're just keeping this thread

Catch ya's later

I worked out with trainer last night. My God!!!! - I do weight lifts on my own but nothing like that! He did upper body and then Friday is legs. Tonight, I am spinning - I am really trying to get going here - my stomach feels so bloated that I am deathly afraid to get on scale

Tasha - where are you? I see on FB, you don't feel well?

Michelle - glad you had fun! Yes, Monday is officially our Bunny Challenge and that is when I get on scale..........

Tammy - what a coincidence!! Yes, I have often thought about being a Property Manager in a residential community. Florida is loaded with them - they require a CAM license which I don't have (but could get) - LA Fitness opened up here in Jensen Beach and it is huge!! A little too far for me to drive.

Kelly - Boot camp? I did that several times and it is really hard so good for you!

Theresa - how was your pork roast?

Kelly, that's a great menu....you will definitely achieve your goals eating like that consistently!!

Michelle, so glad you had fun at the casino!! I don't think we're starting a new thread, just keeping this one alive.

Cheryl, You don't need a CAM license here as long as your an employee of the management company. I do love what I do, but I unfortunately learn FAR MORE about peoples personal lives & drama than I ever wanted to know!!!

Well ladies, two things have happened in the two days that I've been dairy free:

1) My keto stick is darker than ever....SUPER DARK....darn near black!!!
2) I have lost a full pound in 2 days!!!

Yes, I think that going dairy free so far has been nothing but positive!

Well, off to work, everyone have a great day after HUMP day! (Did that just for you Theresa!!)

Hi all....sorry I've not been active last couple of days, so much going on at work trying to get everything done so I can take off next week and part of the next. Grrr.....

Cheryl-I haven't been feeling really bad, just not good either. I had a horrible headache and was hoarse Monday(dh thought he would be funny by calling me trigger all day....guess my sense of humor is gone when I don't feel good), then Tuesday through today I've had a sore throat and just don't feel myself....tired, no energy, throat burning, sinuses stopped up, just blah. On another thought....sure wish I could get my butt in gear and be as active as you!

How's everyone else? Been trying to keep up with everyone, just not a lot of time to post this week. DD is off now on maternity leave. Her blood pressure is still not stable so he told her wants her on light bed rest until next Tuesday night when he induces her. Baby is very active, she was going to town last night Doc said she will be small, but Ella wasn't very big, she weighed 6 lbs 5 oz but had lost to 5lb 9 oz when she went home. Dd isn't very big though so just don't think she has big babies like I did. Both my kids weighed almost 9 lbs.

Hope everyone has a great day, I'll try to get in as much as possible. I'm not eating on plan right now, trying to keep as low carb as possible and avoid sweets. Next Monday I will be raring to go!

I HATE MY SCALE!!! Up a pound today but still in ketosis. Funny thing I noticed. Regardless of how purple the ketosis indicator is, I may lose or GAIN. But when the leukocytes appears pink, I lose weight. When it stays white, I gain.

Today DH and I will be going to dinner with old friends at an awesome restaurant in an old Octagon Victorian Home. We go every year during Lent for their fish boil - it's amazing and tastes like lobster!! The fish is boiled outside in a large caldron over an open fire. I'm concerned though that they first boil onion and potatoes in the same water before adding the fish. I have no idea how many carbs the fish might absorb.

B: scrambled eggs
L: tuna stuffed avocado
S: fat bomb
D: fish boil

Tammy - congrats on the weight loss after giving up dairy!!! We had cauliflower "mockaroni" and cheese last night and I gained. I really need to follow your lead!

Tasha - I bet Tuesday can't come soon enough. I guess we can cut you some slack given all you have on your plate right now - but please let us know you're okay!!

Cheryl - we bailed on the over cooked pork. Neither of us wanted to take the first bite! LOL! Are you feeling that work out from yesterday? Oh, but more importantly, is the trainer hot?!!?

Michelle - good job on the water

Kelly - how you doing??

Good morning, ladies!

I am glad it is Friday!

I did my spin class last night - I am pretty sore from Wednesday and today I go back to trainer to do legs I am feeling good about it, though. I think this will get me in the right direction.

I am also going to try and follow a diet plan he gave me - it is lc but there is small amount of fruit, - kind of like the Zone. You eat small meals 6x a day. He said a lot of clients have had great success so I am going to give it a go for two weeks and see what happens -

Theresa - no he is not hot at all! I have known him for years - he has been a tenant of mine. I am sure he does steroids. Want some gossip? He is probably like 62 and he met a girl from the Phillippines like two years ago - she is 22!!! Well, he just brought her over here. She is a cute thing but come one, 40 years difference??

Tammy - everyone says the best thing you can do for yourself is to be dairy-free! You go!!

Tasha - I hope you feel better I have been working out my whole life, practically. I started aerobic dancing when I was like 19 then ended up teaching it for several years. (I was like 130 lbs and quite fit) I kept all that weight off till I got pregnant. But right after Danielle was born, I joined a gym and worked out as much as I could. Then I joined the YMCA and worked out, did aerobics. Then, I had Ashley and gained 60 lbs I was miserable in my marriage and just ate and ate. She is going to be 24 this year and I am still fat - Got back into working out again and have been pretty faithful - at least 4 x a week. But I am living proof, if you eat the wrong things and exercise, you will still not lose..........

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Tasha, I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Sounds like you need some extra rest and a new grandbaby to snuggle!

Theresa, the fish boil sounds like great fun!!! I wouldn't sweat the carbs too much, just drink LOTS of water to keep your system flushed out. The scales are evil I tell ya....evil! Just keep doing what you know if right and you'll see the results! I've never really measured before....but this time I am, I measure at least once a month and it REALLY HELPS when the scale is being mean to look at my measurements and see the inches I've lost....it keeps me motivated.

Cheryl, I am so impressed with your workouts....I've never been much of exerciser....I need to change that! My son was sweet and bought a kettlebell for me because I mentioned wanting to start some toning exercises at home, I found a bunch of great videos on Youtube to work out to....I'm really enjoying it! Bummer your trainer isn't hot.....that should be like a prerequisite or something! My son is very handsome and he LOVES being a trainer.....he never seems to lack female attention either.....

Michelle, I hate that!!! That happens to me frequently and it sucks!! Load up on Vit. b12 if you have it and some coffee.....that usually gets me through just fine. Maybe tomorrow you can sleep in extra late!

OMG....I think I'm in love!!! I have discovered Coconut cream! I don't know why I've never thought to explore it before now, but it is a FABULOUS dairy replacement!!! It's thicker than dairy cream, it whips up beautifully....and has fewer calories than dairy! I also found a fabulous dairy free vegan cream cheese that is largely made of coconut oil.....and it really tastes like cream cheese....it's very good!! Going Dairy free may be MUCH easier than I anticipated.

Well kids, Happy Friday.....all is good here, looking forward to the weekend!

Good morning all.....had to be at work at 3:30 this morning so thought I'd pop in quickly. I've got two hours to sit and wait on my full system save so thought I'd get some menu ideas for next week. Hope everyone is having a great weekend! Tammy, where did you find Coconut cream and the dairy free vegan cream cheese? I live in small town USA so is hard for us to find a lot of different items.

Gotta run!

Yeah Tammy where did you find those new products I want to know too. They sound delish. Small drop on the scale, planning a good day food wise. Nothing going on to interrupt my plans which is even better. Going to stop by a small home and garden show going on here right up the road. Have to put a new roof on the house we are closing on at the end of the month its a 1915 craftsman all the original woodwork. Cool old house but it needs some repairs so the homeshow it is for ideas.

Tasha that is a CLEAN menu. Stick to it girl! Man I could never plan out my menu like that kudos to you!

Good morning ladies,

I found those at Trader Joes. I know even my regular grocery store carries canned coconut cream in the Asian food aisle, I'm going to check this weekend in the tofu section to see about dairy free cream cheese. I'm also going to check sprouts this weekend, because I know they have coconut cream, I've been reading about a brand of DF cream cheese called Tofutti that is supposed to be AMAZING....I'm thinking if I could find it anywhere it would be Sprouts. I'll let you know what I find!

Tasha, that's mighty early to start work! Love the menu!!

Michelle, I love those old craftsman style houses, they always have so much character!

How's everyone else doing?? Any big plans for the weekend?

Tasha - your menus are awesome!! I'm making Emerald Soup today - yum!

Tammy - I HAVE to try those coconut products. My tummy has been a churning lately, so I know I would do better with less dairy. I keep setting out to have less then I see a new awesome recipe and blow it. You may have found the answer!!

Michelle - I love old homes - share pics if you can. I'm addicted to HGTV!!

I belong to a LCHF group on FB and joined a 30 day no-scale challenge. For this group I will weigh one last time on Monday and then at the end of our bunny challenge. I've been obsessing too much about that stupid number!! So I put on an old pair of Levi size 18W mom-jeans today. The old school kind with absolutely no stretch to the material. I couldn't zip them last time I tried them on. Today they zipped. Major muffin top, some back fat, and I wouldn't be comfortable trying to sit in them, but I got them on! My goal is to fit in them comfortably by Easter I did take my measurements last Monday, so I can update those weekly.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

....ahhhh....Mom jeans LOL. Funny that I used to wear those before I was a mom

I wish we had more stores around here. There is a Trader Joe's in St Louis....an hour and a half away and I've never heard of Sprouts. I'll look and see if they have the coconut cream at Wal-Mart, and they are starting to get more 'different' items than they used to so maybe they might have the DF cream cheese. I've never really thought about my tummy problems being dairy related. I've had IBS since I was in my 20's and it comes and goes. Maybe I should try cutting back on it just to see. May experiment a little.

Cold here again today, not supposed to get above 37. It was 51 when I went to work yesterday morning at 3:30, when I came out at 10:30, it was 40 and didn't get any warmer than that all day. Colder today and calling for chance of snow tonight. This time last year, all my lilies were up and all the trees had buds on them. Just now seeing the tops of my lilies coming through the leaves. Yearning for spring!!! Was really hoping it would be warm this weekend so I could rake up all the dead leaves out of the flower beds and get all the limbs out of the yard. Not warm and don't feel the best in the world this morning. Stopped up, nose burning....blah We'll have a little baby by next weekend so won't have time to be doing much of that. Getting so anxious to meet her

Everyone have a great Sunday! I'm going to do laundry and clean a little.....and veg. may not even get out of jammies today.

Hi ladies!

What a great lazy Sunday this has been!

Theresa, I have found it's been so much easier than I ever would have thought to get rid of dairy. I even made a batch of the tuscano soup with coconut cream instead of HWC and it was fabulous! I've also lost 3 full pounds in 4 days....so I am loving that!

Tasha, If your walmart is a super walmart you likely will find some of these products there.....look by the tofu and the Asian foods. Do you have a Whole foods or a Wild oats around?? Any sort of a health food store? Any of them will have these things as well. You are SOOOOO close to that new grandbaby, how wonderful!!! You will have to post pics!

Everything is good here.....just groceries, laundry and cooking.

How's everyone else doing???

Hi ladies!

215.6 for me this morning. The same as I started our last challenge. But I took my measurement last Monday and this morning my waist and hips were both one inch smaller

Youngest DD is home from college this week for spring break and we went shopping this morning. I almost bought a top but took a pass since it fit now and will be too small by the end of this challenge Positive thinking!!

DH and I are taking my MIL to St. Paul, MN for her brother's funeral. We'll stay over night and drive back after the services tomorrow. It will be a challenge to stay on track while on the road, so I'm packing a small cooler with LC snacks and water. Really wishing we were going south and not driving through snow to get there. I also feel really bad for her. She's lost so many friends and relatives in the past couple years.

Tammy - I'll be looking for those coconut dairy alternatives when we get back. And I'm still trying to find a couple days to do a fat fast. I have no doubt you'll get to ONEderland before your daughter's wedding - pave the way for me would ya?!?

Tasha - it's baby week!!!! So exciting

I probably won't get a chance to check in tomorrow.

I could have done better over the weekend but I did get in a lot of exercise. Would love to be 180 by the time the Easter bunny comes!

Hi all....sorry I've been MIA, way too much LIFE going on this week. Tonight's the night So excited. Dd and dgd came by work and had lunch with me today, dgd told me she wanted to eat lunch with me since it was her last day as an only child. LOL She is too funny for a four year old. She gets induced at midnight, so this time tomorrow hopefully we'll have a new bouncing baby girl

Not doing so well on the food front. Have had so much to do, I did go to the grocery store, everything put in the freezer. I made my Emerald Isle soup and had it for lunch yesterday, then supper went down the tubes.....today not so good either. I'm hoping once dgd is born things will even out and be a little easier. Put me down for 221.5 to start and my goal is to lose 10 pounds by Easter. Very doable but got to get on the stick.

Hi ladies!!

How was everyone's Tuesday?

Tasha, I'm SOOOOOO excited for you!!!! Just think, tomorrow you'll have a sweet little baby granddaughter to snuggle!! I can only imagine how excited you are!!! I think life takes priority over your WOE at the moment....I've been there. Just try not to let it take you too far off track, you'll get back on track once things settle down a bit.

Squash, that looks like a good menu, how'd it work out for you today??

Cheryl, Theresa, Michelle, how are you ladies today???

I hope everyone's doing well, things are good here.....today is day 6 of Dairy free and it's going well.....I found a WONDERFUL shredded Mozzarella substitute that I used tonight on a stuffed portabella that I made for dinner and I have to tell you....it melted and turned golden under the broiler just like Mozzarella, it pulled just like Mozzarella and it tasted just like Mozzarella.....it was REALLY good!! I fully intend to keep this dairy free thing going for at least 4 weeks.....and at this rate I may never go back to dairy!

Well kids, have a great evening!!

On track with plan + 2 mozzarella sticks.
How often should I be posting weight?
Ladyboss what are the advantages of going dairy free?
I recently dropped cottage cheese myself but still have cream, cheeses and cream cheese in my Diet. I to0 love the effects of coconut oil since I added it to my menu 9 days ago

Back from the funeral. Was hard to stay on plan with powdered eggs and processed meat like sausages at the hotel - yuk!! We stopped at the Leinenkugel's Brewery on the way home. That's my favorite beer. Was also not on plan, but ohhhhhh so good I made eggs and bacon when we got home last night. Time to hop on the Easter Challenge!!

Welcome Squash!!

Tasha - sending lots of baby love your way today

Check back later

Good morning kids!

Squash, a lot of people find that dairy is an allergen, it wreaks havoc with inflammation and inflammatory illnesses, it causes a lot of mucus and water retention. I also read recently that there seems to be a strong link between dairy and tinnitus and that people with issues with the ringing in their ears found significant improvement and relief when they eliminated dairy. I have had tinnitus all my life. I have also struggled with Fibromyalgia, and I'm looking for any thing that will help me alleviate those two things AND help my weight loss. I only dropped the dairy last week, so it hasn't been long enough to gauge any difference in the tinnitus. The Fibro has been under much better control since I went LC, but the lack of dairy helps it even more. The main thing right now is that I've lost 4 pounds in 1 week from that simple change. I expect that most of that was likely excess water weight the dairy was causing me hold on to....but still.....that's 4 pounds off the scale and off the body, so I'll take it!

Theresa, welcome back....we missed you!!!!! Glad you're back safe and sound, funerals are always so sad.

Tasha.....baby pics yet??????

Hope everyone's having a great Wednesday!!!
