Watched the grand kids yesterday and didn't get a chance to post

Michelle - Glad you enjoyed your day and still lost

Tasha - I would NOT be happy if DH was laughing about a $122 ticket!!

I'm going to the chiropractor this morning. Chasing the kids around has done me in, LOL! The little one, Jake (6 mos) rolls from one end of the room to another in no time flat! They're both so cute

I was down a pound yesterday and back up today - so frustrating. I think I may have to hide the scale.

Looking forward to an awesome weekend. My youngest DD's best friend is having her head shaved for charity - so brave of a soon to be 19 yr old!! We're going to the event at our old church and will see lots of friends. I crocheted her a hat with yarn hair

Hope everyone has a great day - going to be 51 degrees here today that's FIFTY-ONE, with a 5!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Michelle!! Sounds like a fun night at the casino coming up!

I'm motivated for the weekend. Went to boot camp at 6 am this morning. This is my last week before my mini vacation. Monday is the end of our challenge so I am hoping y'all want to do an Easter challenge. You all have helped me soooo much get through the weekends with no chests more than you know. None of my friends or family diet so I have no motivation or support from any of them. So glad I have you guys!

I hope everyone has a fabulous Friday and weekend!! Monday will be our last weigh in for this challenge. I will post the chart after I get them.

B- on the road a couple handfuls of peanuts
L- protein shake
D- not sure yet but prob rotisserie chicken.

Tasha, let me know how that newspaper notice works out!

Cheryl, too bad that boss's son wouldn't cooperate with your lent strategy!

Michelle, good for you for having a little of the cake and still being down, that's awesome!! Your plans for the weekend sound great too! I have come to realize that in order for this work long term we need to realize that life happens and we need to accommodate and adjust accordingly when it does....that's the only way to survive!

Theresa, I love the hat with the hair....that's AWESOME!!! Yes little ones can be exhausting....there's a reason why we have our children young.....so we have the energy to keep up with them!!!

Kelly, boot camp at 6:00 am?!?!?! Damn girl! I am all in for an Easter challenge, I love our group....would like to see us stay together!!

Well kids, I survived LA traffic, but it wasn't pretty, let me tell you!! What is normally a 1 hour drive took 2 yesterday morning!!! I gave myself an hour an a half, and still ended up being late!!! Lunch was good, I was totally able to stay on plan, and even avoided the HUGE cookies they were passing around! I did cave a little though on the candy.....they had big bowls of little fun size snickers and andes mints, etc everywhere and I did have some of those....but I didn't go too crazy and fortunately chocolate does not trigger awful cravings for me. I figured that a few of those were a MUCH better alternative than the cookies and the tortillas. I also had a bourbon & Diet coke when I got home, after all that traffic I thoroughly enjoyed that!!! I was still in ketosis this morning, so I feel good about my choices......I really want to make sure that I don't have any scale backlash though, so I think I'm going to fat fast today and this weekend.....give my body a break for a few days.

Well, I need to jet to work, I'll try to check in later. Have a GREAT Friday everyone!!

Thanks for the happy bdays guys. Holding steady this morn actually expected to be up a bit cause I could tell I was holding water yesterday. Didnt pee like usual then noticed my ankles were puffy. So hoping to shed the excess water today.

Started back on the eliptical yesterday first time since a week before appendix came out. I was doing 5 rounds of 5 minutes started first round yesterday looked down and was 6.5 minutes and felt great so decided I would take them all to 6 minutes. Brings the total to 30 minutes and just over 5 miles. That is so far from where i started at 5 rounds 1 minute each.

Hey Tammy I saw you were fat fasting yesterday. Thinking of doing it today. How do you do it? This would be my first one but thinking of doing it once a week. I have been reading old fat fast threads and I am impressed gotta say.....

Good morning ladies It's a warm bright sunshiny day in Southeast Missouri this morning. Going to clean my house and get out and enjoy while I can. Supposed to snow tomorrow Ahh.....the joys of Midwest living. LOL

Had another scare with dd yesterday, blood pressure shot up, ended up in OB again to be monitored. Dsil was being a jerk....not the time for his immaturity to show up. He is almost 4 years younger than dd and boy sometimes you can really tell it. He was mad because her bp issues interrupted his plans to go fishing. Then ignored my calls when they were at the OB department. Had about enough so I made dh call and of course he didn't ignore his call. Jerk. Anyway, they put her on bed rest until she can see doc on Monday. He is out of town in New York this weekend, that probably would have been a good piece of information to give her last week when she was in his office. So, anyway..... We were going to take dgd to the park today and picnic but that isn't happening so I'm cleaning. which is so much more fun.

I am making my menu for this coming week and hopefully getting to the grocery store this evening so I am prepared. Everyone have a great weekend, I'm going to try to stay at 218.5 through Monday and then for the new goal, new challenge.....new me!

Hi Ladies,

How's everyone doing?

Tasha, sorry to hear that DD was back at the hospital again.....hopefully she's doing better. This baby just needs to be born and put an end to all of this drama for you guys!!

Michelle, I am fat fasting this weekend. I LOVE to fat fast, my body responds really well and usually tells me when it's ready by simply not being hungry. The goal of the fat fast is 1000 calories per day and 90% fat. I have found that it's actually fairly easy.....IF YOU TRACK EVERYTHING and if pre-plan. I use a free online food journal every day anyway to track everything and I love it....it tracks my calories, my carbs, my protein and my fat.....so I always know exactly where I'm at, no guessing......it's the only way I can do a fat fast for sure! I'll give a sample of my menu this weekend:

B: BPC Coffee with Butter/coconut oil/HWC, and a cream cheese muffin
S: BPC as above and a cream cheese muffin
L: 4 oz mushrooms sautéed in 1T Butter and mixed with 2T of Rondele or Boursin cheese
S: 1C. Chicken broth with 1t butter stirred in
D: 1 oz macadamia nuts

Stats: 1041 cal/90% fat/6% protein/ 4% carbs

I usually only do this for 2 or 3 days, and not only do I NOT get hungry when I do this, but I feel great and my body seems to enjoy the reprieve. I a lot of people on the boards here seem to have a negative opinion of the fat fast and in my opinion they make it FAR more complicated then it needs to be. I say give it a try, if it works for you then fabulous.....if not then don't worry about doing it again. If you do try it, let me know how it works for you!

How's everyone else doing? I hope having a great weekend!

Hey guys fatfast actually went really well 1014 cals 104 fat hit 92%. Today is NK have a Volleyball team dinner for DD13, of course its pizza was going to scrape the topping but the more I think about it I will just do the salad and come home to something else here. Down .6 will try to get in a ff maybe once a week, feel cleaned out by it, never got hungry just a bit of head hunger, body felt fine. Had some cucumber in there so I was able to get some crunch, not bad. Next time will make sure I have clear 2-3 days in case I want to extend it.

Thanks Tammy for your info. Will check in tomorrow for final challenge weigh in but then off to the casino for DH birthday night. If you guys start another challenge I will find ya when I get back.

Tasha-

Happy Sunday everyone! Watching it snow/sleet out my back doors. Really really really over winter.

Have the Tuscano soup on the stove simmering, getting ready to add the spinach and cream. Preparing for this weeks lunches. Going to make some deviled eggs today too. After soup is done and in fridge going to put on roast for supper. Had planned on ds and his friend being here for supper but they had to leave because roads were getting bad and they live about 20 mins from here north and is worse up there. Already hearing of cars being off in ditches, church bus hit a telephone pole....glad I'm staying put today. Laundry going and after I finish watching this movie am going to clean bathroom and strip sheets off bed. Love Sundays like this when I don't have anything to do, jammies still on, hair in pony

B: Spinach/ham/onion/mozzarella omelet
L: Ham/cream cheese roll up
D: Roast and roasted cauliflower

Hope everyone has a great day!

Michelle, Good job on the Fat fast! I'm always glad to hear when people have a GOOD experience with that, it seems so many people dislike it and criticize it. I think any tool that we can add to assist us along the way is potentially valuable!!

Tasha, I'm making a big pot of the tuscano soup today as well....I love that stuff!!! How's DD doing today?

Well it's a lazy Sunday here as well, just doing laundry and some cooking. I ordered my shoes today for DD's wedding. Here's a pic. Her color for the wedding is Mint green, the guys will be in all black with mint green suspenders and ties, I will wear a black cocktail dress with a mint green petticoat, shoes and wrap.....I think it will look stunning in the pics!!

Let's definitely keep this rolling into an Easter challenge.....I need to stay focused and plugged in with just over a month to go til the wedding!

Tammy - cute shoes!! I could never wear that heel, but they are absolutely adorable

Tasha - I'm with you on winter. Enough is enough. Praying for your DD. I'm so sorry you guys have had so much to deal with

So today is 1 month since we set out to lose 10 lbs and my official weigh in........I GAINED, ending up at 116 I'm soooooo upset with myself!!! After starting out good, when the weight started creeping back on, I got discouraged and ate more carbs - only myself to blame. This time around I think I'll try a fat fast. I may even start with one to see if I can get things moving in the right direction again. It will be my first one. Hey - I'm a fat fast virgin!!!

I hope everyone else did better than me - now let's hop to the new bunny challenge

Officially 7 lbs lost for the challenge and thats with the emergency surgery, so I am pretty darn happy about that since I came home from the hospital with 15 lbs extra fluid in me. I knew I was dehydrated bad and theywere pumping fluids but holy cow 15 lbs. So man I feel great about the last month.

I will find you all when I get back but I am in........

I had a very hectic morning - did not weigh in but I am so ready to start new Bunny Challenge - I will weigh tomorrow. I know I did not lose any weight - hopefully, did not gain

Michelle -enjoy your vacation! You did fabulous! Send some good vibes my way, please.......

Tasha - how is dd? My niece had a bouncing bay boy Friday. Ethan was 7 lbs 13 oz and healthyl. She is a very proud mother!

Tammy - love the shoes and what great colors!! Should be great!

Theresa - You put down your weight as 116??? - I was born at 116 -
I am not a fan of the fat fast but if it works, go for it!

Ok, my Monday started out a little crazy so hopefully it will be okay.

B- 2 hb eggs, 2 slices of turkey bacon
L - grilled chicken/veggies
D - grilled chicken and veggies

I marinated a bunch of chicken in soy sauce, ginger, lemon, and a little brown sugar. Then I grilled it last night - so that will last me and dd a few days -

Good morning ladies!

Well I did not lose as much weight as I'd hoped this last month. I've lost 4.8 pounds, my weight this morning was 216. I have been really true to plan, but I haven't had time to walk as much as I'd hoped and I did indulge in Bourbon a few times.....So I need to walk more and drink less Bourbon this next month!!!

Theresa, I am a big fan of the Fat Fast......I incorporate them intermittently into my WOE. They are not for everyone, but I find that I really enjoy them.

Michelle, that's a GREAT loss.....WTG!!!

Cheryl, I am so ready for the bunny challenge!!!! Are we starting a new thread or just continuing on with this one?

Well ladies, Happy Monday and Happy ST. Patricks day!!! I've got to head out, I have to be in court early this morning for an eviction case.

Have a great day!

Good morning all! Have to make this quick, sorry I've been MIA, way too much going on. DD is still having blood pressure problems. She has been out of work since last week, every time she gets up off the couch, it sky rockets. Has a horrible headache this morning, and bp was 154/91. Her doctor is back in town today thank goodness, she has an appointment with him at 1:30. She does not have protein in her urine, which is good, that just means no pre-eclampsia yet.....just pregnancy induced hypertension. Baby was fine Friday when they hooked her up to monitor.

I was out of work yesterday with a bad headache. Wasn't a migraine as I didn't have the throwing up, etc., that I usually have with those, was just a really bad one. Have it still today, not as bad but still there. Had to come to work, so much to do and I will be out most of next week and part of the following week so have to get some work done regardless of headache.

I was at 221 yesterday, so gained even more. Down 5.5 lbs for challenge. Very disappointed with myself but today is a new day right?

Are we going to make a new challenge? If you guys want me to, I will add a new link and copy in our thread so everyone can go to it??? Just let me know. Gotta get to work!

L: Tuscano soup
D: hamburger patty, cukes in ranch

Hi all

I am so ready for a new challenge!! We celebrated St. Paddy's Day at our local bar with the meat raffle. We won a 7 lb roasting chicken and a 2 pak of chicken breast filets which I traded for 1.7 lbs of BACON!! I had 4 beers (bad, bad, bad!) I'm watching the grand kids today so I ran out of the house early but I did manage to get a pork roast into the crock pot though I'm taking this challenge one step at a time. First step - STOP drinking!! I need to get back into ketosis.

B: BPC
L: Atkins chicken broccoli Alfredo
S: fat bomb
D: pork roast with broccoli and radishes

Tasha - sorry your DD is still having issues. How far along is she again? I'll keep her in my prayers.

Hi ladies

Nice win Theresa on that meat! Saying no to alcohol is too hard for me on the weekends so I make sure I drink low carb beer or a low carb rum and diet coke. I did tell my husband though that I think the alcohol slows down my weight loss but Im not sure I can give it up right now.....our summer weather is right around the corner too and an ice cold beer in the summer is too hard to say no to (Can you tell I'm Irish?)

Tasha hope your daughter is doing better.....

When does the challenge start? this week? I might be bad this weekend on vacation, well Iwill be bad, forget the might part....so I will start next week

B-2 hard bioled eggs
S- cocoa covered almonds
L-grilled chicken and a salad with cesar dressing
D- protein shake

Will do boot camp class tonight too !

hope everyone is having a good day

We can stick to it this week., but our first weigh in will be Monday - what do you guys think?? Hop, Hop, Hop down the Bunny trail...............

I'm going to push for 13 lbs loss cause I have a feeling I am like 193. So 180 by Easter would be super cool..........

Hi everyone!

Yay for the new challenge!!!

Tasha, so sorry that DD is still having blood pressure issues....so hard to not to worry about your kids no matter how old they are or how much they drive us nuts!! I hope your headache is gone!

Theresa, you amaze me with all of the meat you win.....I've never been anywhere that raffles off meat....I might have to start scoping this out! You kill me with the fat fast virgin comment....at least you found something!! I'm with you on the alcohol....I do love my bourbon....but I know it slows down my weight loss. It doesn't through me out of ketosis, but it does slow the fat burning.

Kelly, LOVE the new avi!!! Hey you're going on Vacation....I don't think plan even exists while on vacation....I'm sure that's a rule somewhere....right?!?!!

Cheryl, I think the 24th is brilliant! I would LOVE to lose at least 15 pounds before Easter.

Today is SO MUCH BETTER than yesterday was! I've been getting caught up at the office, and eating is on plan. I've been doing some reading lately on cheese, and dairy products in general. I have decided to try eliminating dairy from my diet for the next few weeks. This is a VERY big step for me.....I've eliminated so many things, and I do LOOOOVE my cheese and HWC....but I was reading that there seems to be a very real link between dairy and Tinnitus.....and I've had that darn ringing in my ears ALL MY LIFE....seriously I have never known a time when I did not have this. I don't even think about it most of the time, but I was reading that a lot of people who eliminate dairy find real relief for this, so I thought I'd try it....I figure it can't hurt anything, and who knows....maybe it will help??? Maybe it will help my weight loss too?

Monday weigh in sounds good to me

So much for planning dinner last night. DD and DSIL had gone on a day trip and were very late getting back. Thankfully DH works 5 minutes away from their apartment so he stopped by after work to help me the last few hours. He also picked up gyros which we ate without the pita. Didn't get home till after 8:00. We'll see tonight how the pork roast survived 13 hours in the slow cooker! I'm down a pound today - yay I'm watching the boys again today, their names are Eric (2yrs) and Jake (6mos) BTW. I love my grand kids, but all day is hard at their ages, DD is an Asst. Property Manager and DSIL has been substitute teaching, so they have me come on the days he works. They need the money so it's hard to say no - at least while I'm not working.

Meanwhile, I have a phone interview today (which I'll be doing while driving to DD's) and I'm STILL waiting for the face to face interview with the other company I had talked to a couple weeks ago.

Tammy - good luck with removing dairy from your diet. If I'm not mistaken, when I did Atkins back in 2003, you had to avoid dairy during induction. I think that's part of my issue too - I'm indulging too much in cheeses, and HWC.

KC - vacation sounds so fun right now!!!

Tammy - hope your DD's DR appt went well yesterday

Cheryl - 180 would be awesome by Easter!! You can do it!!

B: eggs and bacon
L: tuna
S: Atkins bar
D: over cooked pork roast and soggy veggies

Monday it is!!!

Just a little background on me. I am the General Manager of a 30 acre Industrial Park which includes a 6 acre huge Flea market. I have been doing this for 20 years and I am looking for something else because they do not offer any pension, 401K, etc and I would love to retire at like 67. I am turning 59 this year. I also have a huge issue with owner's son, as I have mentioned before.

Anyway, within the Park there is Personal Trainer who rents from us. He has offered to train us girls in the office for $10 per hour as long as there is at least 3 of us! He gets like $60 per hour, now.

So in addition to going to my gym for spin classes, I am going to go to Jeff twice a week starting today at 4:30 for an hour.

So, I should really be getting my motivation going for our Bunny Challenge!

LET'S GO GIRLS!!

Ok Monday it is for me too! I am hoping to get into the 170’s MAYBE even the 160’s by Easter! But I’ll be happy with a 6-10 lb weight loss by Easter but will push for more.

My little background. I do IT Support for a Global Engineering firm for 14 years now. Boring work but I love everybody I work with. It’s scary though because they have been doing layoffs for the past 2 years so for 2 years I never know when my number will be called. I’m 41 and have 3 boys, 14, 12 and 6. The two older are my step sons but they live with us full time and I have had them since they were 3 and 5 so they are pretty much mine just didn’t have to actually deliver them…lol….

Tammy- I stay in ketosis when I enjoy my alcoholic beverages was well, but yes I think it slows my weight loss down, still can’t seem to give it up though. I don’t have any during the week but on the weekends…hello Captain Morgan! Good for you on the cheese, doing low carb in the beginning or the past I always have indulged in cheese and I think that slows my weight loss too so this time I have cheese very sparingly and I notice a difference in my weight loss without having so much cheese. I would buy block cheese and just eat slices of it every day. Now I don’t buy it and just have a slice or so of provolone with a turkey roll up here and there and that’s it and I notice a big difference. Bet you will too

Theresa- that is a lot of work a 2 year old and 6 month old…..i would be exhausted by the end of the day! Bet you have been sleeping good

Cheryl- Good for you with that class with the trainer! I use to get trainers here and there and it was always so motivating but expensive. So now I do my boot camp which is given by a trainer and about 10-20 people in the class. I love the class and it’s never boring. I don’t see weight loss with my workouts but I do notice toning so that’s a plus. Plus I just feel better when I work out. Right now I can only seem to go 3 days a week but hoping to get it up to 4 or 5 soon.

Hope everyone has a great day!!! Looking forward to our Bunny challenge

B- 2 hard boiled eggs
S- cocoa covered almonds
L- salad with grilled chicken
D- protein shake

Just like yesterday but prepare it and then I have 2-3 days to eat it …..

Good morning!

Theresa, what wonderful ages your grandsons are, and yes it IS a lot of work!! That was always my favorite age those, the baby / toddler years. GOOD LUCK on your interview, and praying that you get that face to face interview too!

Cheryl, what a GREAT deal on the PT! My son is working for LA Fitness as the PT director and those folks can get expensive in a big hurry! We're in very similar businesses.....you're managing commercial property, and I'm managing residential property.....but very similar over all! I don't blame you for wanting pension and 401k, those are a big deal for retirement.....it's a shame that your company stands to lose you after 20 years of service because they aren't offering such basic benefits.

Everything's good here. I made it through day 1 dairy free.....well I still have butter, but I read that a lot of folks don't really consider butter dairy because of it's extremely high fat content, the consider it in the oil family....I sure hope that's true. But truly, no HWC, no cheese or cream cheese of any sort for the first time in...I can't remember how long! I was surprised at how easy it was to do. For dinner I made a breadless / cheeseless Rueben with just the corned beef, sauerkraut, a little thousand Island dressing, some mustard and sprinkled on some Caraway seeds for the "rye" bread flavor....it was actually quite good!!!!

Well ladies, I hope everyone has a great hump day!!
