Exactly what WickedStitch said, those are good options....you can do it, there should be good options on the buffet, you just have to choose them. Another go to that usually works for me is Cashew chicken. Also, the egg drop soup usually is pretty safe. Definitely avoid the rice and noodles!!

I'm late to the party. I've been hanging out around 205 all week. Finally heard back from the insurance co about our roof. The mortgage co finally did their part with the first check and now I'm hoping that the roofing co will be able to begin work shortly. I also plan on hiring someone to repair and paint at least 2 ceilings in the house and more than likely paint the ceilings in the stairways. I'm a clutz and it would just be bad, bad, bad me falling down the stairs with a roller full of paint. hahahahah

Hope everyone is doing well. This weekend my son has been invited to a Junior Weekend at a college. It's for prospective student athletes; we're pretty excited about it. It's a school that he likes and is hoping they offer him a spot to play baseball for them. This weekend is for us to get to see the campus, go to a couple baseball games and have a Q&A with admissions office and coaches. Here's hoping my eating habits don't get derailed!

Have a GREAT weekend everyone!

Thought I would pop in and give you a chinese buffet update! I did about 70% okay..could have done better, but could have done worse! Buffets are so hard...but I am okay with my decision. I'll definitely be skipping the birthday cake on Sunday!

I hear ya on the painters! I want to paint the hallway but the part by the stairs is basically two floors high and I ain't going up there. I have a irrational fear of ladders anyway! Made my son go up one this spring to get an extra gutter piece! I was standing right there if I needed to catch him, so I called it good parenting..

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Hi ladies,

Wickedstitch, what a fun weekend, your son must be very excited!! Traveling can definitely be a challenge, but you can make great choices......and hey, it's 1 weekend!

Amy, you are too funny!! But, yes I'd call standing at the foot of the ladder to catch him good parenting too!

Where's everyone else?? It's been quiet in here this week!

Things are good here....SO GLAD it's the weekend!! I don't know WHO designated today as Monday again instead of Friday?? My calendar said Friday, my stress load clearly said Monday!! I did have the wildest thing happen today however. I am currently interviewing candidates for a maintenance supervisor position here with our company, and I had a candidate today that was scheduled for an interview and about 15 minutes into the interview I'm thinking that perhaps he might be a decent candidate UNTIL, he asked is his wife could join us. WHAT?!?!?! Yes, he actually brought his wife to the interview, because as he explained "She's the boss" and he doesn't make such big decisions without her involvement. He actually went out to the car to get her and bring her in. I'm not kidding. Needless to say I am still looking for a maintenance supervisor.

Have I mentioned that I'm ready for a weekend??

Good morning!

Sammi, thanks for the new chart it looks fabulous!!!!

Rob, we've missed you!!!!! So glad you're doing well!

Hows everyone doing???

DH and I have been very consistent with our hikes, we did 5 this past week and average about an hour each time....plan on going out again today too. I must confess, we have so many beautiful trails around here that it's a shame we haven't done more of this before now! I'm solidly back in ketosis, and have had a nice whoosh getting rid of all the water weight from the wedding. I'll do my official weigh in tomorrow, but this morning I was down to 209!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

YES...you will be amazed what happens once you drop those 9lbs. As I was telling wickedstitch in a previous post, once you scale the 200s, I don't know if its psychological or physiological, the weight just pretty much loses itself.
Plus it takes very little loss, to register on a different clothing size.
I found the effort is less strenuous.
Well done Tammy. I am so happy for you.

Back on as low as I can go today to get back to it. No weight gain though, and a little loss (ounces..which I usually don't even count).

No walking at this week because it has been a monsoon! We are having a garage sale this weekend and I have to make 500 trips out of my basement with stuff so that should give me a little workout today...

Next challenge is my son's birthday. He wants to go eat at the chinese buffet (what 8year old picks that place??? Weirdo). Any ideas on what to eat there??? I can load up on salad first...but after that???
This made me laugh, I totally had a chocolate malt from DQ last night…I don’t know what I was thinking….

Thats awesome you didnt see a weight gain though!

I would also agree with the other ladies, just trying to stay away from anything breaded and load up on veggies!

I apologize for being so quiet this week! I think its spring fever and I’ve been so busy. Tomorrow is one of my good friends birthday, my BF’s and my Moms…talk about crazy! I’ve also been doing a lot of job interviews, so a lot of my free time is getting eaten up!

Also super bizarre about that interview…I’d have red flags after that as well! Eesh!

That is wonderful you are doing so well! If it makes you feel better I am no where NEAR my goal I wanted to be at for the end of this challenge. But I am further than I was so at least there has been progress.

Id be all for making another challenge thread! Id love to stay in touch with all of you wonderful ladies!!

Better but not out of the 200's yet...I'll get there! My goal is to be around 185# by the time I go to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon in the beginning of June. Its a pretty strict goal but Im going to try and shoot for it, if not I'll try and get as close as possible!

Either my scale has gone loco or my body has.
I absolutely believed I would be much less today..when I couldn't sleep and got up at 4:30AM (crazy I knooooow) and saw a 1.6lb gain from no where. I went back to bed, and by the time I weighed again mid morning...I was just maintaining...oh well.
On the size front...everything fits fabulously....(its killing my weightloss motivation though, nothing to hanker after)
I can rock an American sz4 top that I have been salivating about...I don't want to believe its incorrect sizing, but because its one of the decent brands, I am taking it as accurate sizing.
Photos will be coming later.

Bah this weight!! The scale LIES!!! lol! I had a not so good choice day yesterday on top of taking my son to the Mall of America to ride rollercoasters for his birthday. Walking all day..and the two days before were standing or walking all day with garage sale stuff (never doing that again...I got better ways to make $180...). So I have some swelling in my legs. I have a bum knee and it gives me grief. Jerk. Anyhoo, back to plan today! I will have these three pounds off soon. I see these people that have stuck with LCHF for YEARS without "cheating"...wonder how they manage. Obviously much more willpower than me!

I am all for keeping this group going after the end of our challenge...I have grown attached to you Way to rock it with your losses this week!! I don't think I have ever lost 5lbs in a week..

Amy think of it as getting rid of stuff you don't have to drag with you when you relocate soon, suddenly you'll realise its not about the money, but the decluttering...they say its good for the soul, and earns one good karma.
So I'm not the only one who wonders about those who never cheat on diets, I also wonder about those who say their weight never changes from year to year.
My weight changes by the nano second let alone year.

Good morning ladies,

Rob, excellent words of advice....I can not wait until I'm back down to 135!!!

Amy, the scales DO lie....I think everyone "cheats" from time to time, the trick is to KEEP moving forward and don't let cheating become a constant state.

We had another AWESOME hike yesterday. The trails we hike are around the Trump National Golf course, and yesterday they had a celebrity golf tournament, Bruce Jenner and his camera crew nearly ran us over coming around a blind corner......that man has had TOO MUCH plastic surgery! He used to be so handsome.....

Then DD and SIL decided to come over last night to hang out and spend the night (They're off on Tuesdays so they always spend that day with us) and DS wanted us to me a girl he's been dating because he REALLY likes this one.....so we had a full house until 1 AM......I am TIRED today! Didn't eat any dinner because I just was not hungry.....but because it was Cinco de Mayo everyone was drinking Corona's, and I'm not a beer drinking so I had some bourbon and diet soda....on an empty stomach.....hmmmm....note to self, that REALLY goes to your head quickly! We had a ton of fun though and really like DS's new girlfriend.....hopefully we didn't scare her off.

Have a great day everyone!!

I agree. I am not where I want to be, but more than likely closer than I would have been on my own. Great bunch of ladies we have here, if you do make another challenge thread for us, you can count me in! This time from the beginning...lol I found you guys a little late this past time.

LIIIIIIIES!!!! There is no way that people go years and years without a single cheat. I just will never ever believe that! Just like I will never ever believe that their weight stays the same year after year. My weight can fluctuate 5-8 pounds in a single day, depending on what time I weigh myself! More LIES!!!

That's what I get for dining out for 4 days and having some Dairy Queen Oreo blizzard birthday cake!

In other news, the Junior Weekend was fabulous. The weather was great, the baseball team took 2 of the 3 games they played. It was fun watching them play. Both my son and I really liked the campus. Oh, and my heiney hurts for walking so many hills this weekend!!! He's been invited back next month for an early identification showcase. Even though the coaches have already seen him at a pitcher/catcher camp this past winter, they will get to see him in game situations this time around. Fingers Crossed Ladies!!!

Now to go down gallons and gallons of water to get this weight to get outta here!

Not at all! Eat that deliciousness...but get right back on track. No need to give up all together just because of a slip up...or a delicious cake submerged in chocolate!

Well I snuck out of work yesterday for a day off with my family. DD and SIL were here hanging out, DS and DH were home and truthfully I was exhausted from not enough sleep the night before.....so I went home at lunch and took the rest of the day off and it was glorious!! The kids joined us for our hike, and then DH and I took a nap......Now I'm back to work today feeling recharged!

Hope everyone's doing well, have a great day!

guess who was up at 5:00AM doing her 5mile walk today.
I never do my walks before work, I walk commute but mehn, the fear of regaining had me up and out of that bedroom, without a second thought today

I had a very chaste broccoli and Chicken with some kind of low cal/carb Chinese sauce concoction for lunch.

wow..theres something to be said for skyving from time to time..especially when you are the boss

mehn I used to miss our british 'biccies' when I lived in the US. My ex husband and I, would drive from Macon Ga to go to the British shop in Atlanta for supplies, I would gladly give up 10% of my life expectancy for Cadbury wholenut Chocolate...that was how much I missed the stuff and they charged a premium for it the bandoleros that owned the place...the Hershey one could never touch it I'm afraid.....(my plebeian palate speaking)....ours is full of sugar and milk, I doubt it has up to 10% cocoa inside it.
Perfect for my totally unrepentant sugar addicted taste buds

Hello ladies!!

Rob, I'm right there with you on the sweet tooth....especially chocolate! I have learned to love Dark Chocolate, and Trader Joes makes a low carb dark chocolate that's pretty decent.....for being low carb and all!

Well, I will have an unexpected long weekend. We have to make a quick trip to AZ and will leave tomorrow, I have to be back to work on Monday, so it will be a quick turn around....I need to mentally prepare myself so that I make good choices....I don't want to undo all of the hard work I've done!! If I'm not on the boards for the next couple of days that's because I'm on the road....but I won't be gone long!!

Hope everyone is doing well!!

Hon have a safe, fun trip...how long is the drive?
We have supreme confidence you will do what's best for your body and mind.

We just had a long weekend here, and its almost weekend again...I am having 'over-rest' syndrome aka boredom.
Food is no longer there to narcotize me, and there is only so much fun stuff one can do, when I actually want a quiet day with myself for company...what to do-what to do
