Our fun filled, joy fuelled, exciting D-day is finally here.
I am ready...all weekend I was like a Kid with a few days to go before a disney trip.
I wanted to inhale some cheese and crackers (and I don't do few of those, I inhale the whole 8oz pack, with at least 3ozs of cheese, plus sugar laden chutney, for starters (....I know you guys get the picture)

Thanks to our challenge, I instead had a delicious, seafood medley with Kale, my dessert was coffee and cream to which I added a lil' vanilla bean paste...divine.

This morning my weight is - 154lbs

I wish us all the best.

Rob
Good for you for staying away from the cheese and crackers Rob! You are awesome!! I am excited for day #1 of our adventure as well!!

I'm up from the weekend as well, I feel your pain, but no worries it will be gone by the end of this week

Am I too late??

I would like to join this challenge - if I'm not too late and you guys will have me. I started back on low carb today after a looong hiatus. I have never been much of a poster, but I've been a member for a long time. I think having a challenge and posting might be just what I need to be successful again.

I track Amy. I use a cell phone app to track cals/carbs! I love it! I just feel more sane/ in control when I track but I know its not needed for everyone!

Hi Everyone,

I made this chart to make it easier to track our journeys . I hope it is okay for everyone to just copy this every Monday and plug in our weights. We are tracking from February 10th to May 10th. We can do this and reach our goals!

So far today,

Breakfast: scrambled eggs with ham/ 16 oz water
Lunch: hotdog in a lowcarb tortilla, salad with one carb italian dressing/16 oz water
Dinner: barbecue chicken , salad and jello for snack later.

I walked one mile today. It is soooo hard for me to get the water in.

WTG Dana on realizing you didn't need to eat something that stalls you and choosing something else! In the moment of things sometimes that's hard to do! Thats awesome!

That sounds exhausting but also like it doubled as a great workout!

Food for today was:
B- Coffee w/ 2 T HWC, 4 splenda
L- Pumpkin/almond milk protein shake, flax "bread" with a slice of cheese
D- Veggie stir-fry, another piece of flax bread with a slice of cheese, and a homemade almond flour "muffin" thingy
I went to pick up food for someone today at a Mexican restaurant and for a split second thought to myself that it wouldn't hurt to have a few chips and salsa!! Thankfully, I stayed strong and resisted and ended up going to the gym and running/walking 2.5 miles instead! YAY! I hope everyone had a great day 1!

Lloren, it was exhausting.....but it was a GREAT work out!!! Burned TONS of extra calories!!

Amy, in answer to your earlier question, I'm with Mariah....I track EVERYTHING!! I have an online food journal that's free and I use it to track my food every day, as well activity, weight, and measurements! It gives me a ton of great reports.....my favorite is the calories burned versus calories consumed graph chart! It also tracks my calories / fat / carbs / and protein and breaks down my daily percentages for me, which is crucial because by tracking this I've discovered that I feel best and lose most consistently when I average 1200 or fewer calories per day with a ratio of 75 - 80% fat / 15 - 20% protein / 5% carbs. My daily tracking allows me to stay in control of that.

Mariah, I love a nice cup of tea with cream at night to help me unwind and curb and night time munching!

Yay to you ladies for making such good choices and turning down the temptations....way to go!

Well we get to finish up our inspections tomorrow, so I have more walking and stairs on the agenda.....not quite as much as today though....thanks heavens, cause let me tell ya my butt and thighs are SORE!!!!

Have a great evening everyone, chat with you all tomorrow!

Busy day today. I have finals this Thursday.

I generally eat the same thing most days since I don't have time to fuss with cooking.

Breakfast is 3 ham roll ups with cream cheese and blue cheese.

I eat some sausages links and bacon strips throughout the day on school days.

Dinner today was diced chicken breast with my homemade taco seasoning topped with cheese and sour cream.

I do not weigh daily but I try to weigh twice a week.

Hi Sounds great. Would it be possible for me to join even though I'm not weighing myself until the 24st?

I just started atkins induction after losing 60 pounds over two years. I was doing so well up until 2 months ago. haven't weighed myself since around then and I don't want to bring myself down so I'm waiting until after I finish induction to weigh in. Hopefully I'll be close to the weight I was 2 months ago. Either way, I'll be closer than I am today and more equipped to handle the bad news.

But it's all gonna be a distant memory because I'm doing a 3 month challenge. And we're all going to succeed!

Today is day 4 of induction for me. yesterday was a good day. I finally made it back to the gym after 2 weeks. i'm certain there are people there amazed by how easy it is for me to put on weight. I should be studied lol. I swam an hour. felt good. I'm going to commit myself to swim 6 days a week for 1 hour. If I cannot make it to the gym I'm going to bike in my house watching TV or jog outdoors for an hour. No excuses. I gotta big ole butt to kick. :c)

meals for the day

Oh, least I forget. I'm using fi&t&d3ay to log my food and weight.
B: 2 hard boiled eggs
L: can of tuna in oil but drained with 1 tablespoon mayo
D: 2 rotisserie chicken legs and 2 rotisserie chicken thighs
snack: 42 grams of lettuce (it's like 1 carb)
snack: 3 huge cups of coffee with about a total of 2.5 fluid oz heavy cream used. I'm a major caffeine addict. Hope it doesn't interfere with my weight loss but I cannot give it up. Good news is for thae last 2 days I've cut down to 2 cups down from 3, hehe. I love coffee. If you have ever seen pauly shore in jury duty, that's me.

I have the most awesome scale. called Oxo I'm trying to weigh everything. I still haven't learned portions. It's annoying. I skipped weighing my chicken for dinner. I'll try to have more patience today.

Well I look forward to reading how everyone is managing this challenge.
you are the wind beneath my wings.
a little corny, i know. but its true.

Good Morning Ladies,

Everyone is doing fantastic! Everyday for me is a challenge . I also seem to do better if I rotate my menu with just a few foods. I love the mock danishes, but when I eat one, I tend to crave sweets , so I'm going to try to stay away for awhile. Today I will make a vegetable soup. Soup is one of my favorite meals. I can eat soup everyday and not get tired of it. I count all my carbs daily. It sounds so simple, under 20 carbs and exercise, then you lose weight. Why is it so hard to stay on track?

How much water is everyone drinking? I try to get in 64 oz daily, but it is hard for me. I will check in later and post my menu for the day. Right now I am going to walk three miles.

Have a wonderful day ladies.

Going out of town for the day for business. Main office is about 90 miles away and I go at least once a week to check in with my boss. I usually don't eat when I am on the road so that helps. Weight is up[ 0.4 lbs. this morning. I ate at 8:30 last night 1 oz pork rinds, 2 slices cheese, 2 T. salsa and 1 T. cream. Too late and I knew that the cheese and cream would have me up. Too many pork rinds (sodium) that late at night. I will be better today. Not craving sweets as much as salt. I will post my menu later, I will not eat that much today since I will not eat until I come home around 3:00 this afternoon so calories will be low for the day. Almost like fasting.

Mariah, I cannot thank you enough for starting this challenge.
Yesterday evening, I was in the grocery store, and had an attack of the cravings.
Every single Choccy-carby-sugary stuff had Rob emblazoned on it.
The devil on my shoulder was whispering..'go-on-go-on-you've-been-good-it-won't-hurt-to-indulge-you'll-work-it-off-cmmn' only the thought of this challenge, and how I was going to come here, with my tail between my legs, to tell my team mates what I had done, gave me the resolve to grit my teeth and not give in.

Sammi, Thanks for the chart. It will make knowing our progress so much easier.
I resolved today, to start drinking 2ltrs of water daily again, (about 64oz or there about). I took up coffee after almost 30yrs of avoiding the stuff. I noticed I also started having some pain in my lower back around the kidney area. I use too much sweetener, I just stopped. I don't want to mess with stuff, not when things are going so well.

mcchimento, I feel for you. before I knew that sodium caused me to retain fluid or that eating high carb also did that to me, I used to despair at gaining 3lbs when all I did was eat salty stuff.
It will soon flush out, never mind. Have a safe trip to main office.

Dana. Well done on throwing out the sunflower seeds. I have the same issue with nuts. I never ever do a handful. I end up staring at the bottom of the packet wondering where it all went.lol

Thank you so much to all the members of the team. You are indeed making a difference, and its so early in the challenge, I'm sure by the time 90 days rolls along, we will find another challenge to keep us all together wow.

Good morning everyone!

Yesterday went well.. I was very hungry though. I am trying to get back into ketosis constantly, not showing much this morning. Weight is still up three (!!) pounds from last week, before the devil chinese buffet. I am glad we are doing this 90 days also because I need to chill with the 'off' days. I gain so very easily and lose so very slowly it is just not worth it anymore for my mental health!

I am beginning to worry that I really need to examine my dairy intake. I did a Whole30 a while ago and found a big intolerance to gluten so I normally avoid all grains, but DAIRY..I live in WISCONSIN! The land of DAIRY!

Started tracking again on M F P, we will see where that leads me. I will also try to get my water intake up. Also going to make it a goal for the week to eat MEALS and not snacks.
