Good morning ladies,

Yesterday got away from me and I didn't get my weight posted either.....not good.....damn bourbon!! I have got to STOP sabotaging myself like that!!

Amy, I totally understand, I'm right there with you.....it has been a challenging couple of weeks hasn't it?!?!? That's ok, we can do this...together!

Wickedstitch, my hair looks pretty good actually, my hubby LOVES it....he swears it's very flattering, though all I see is the gray! It's hard to tell in pictures. It must look ok though because I have actually been getting tons of compliments at work. I have to admit the silver streaks in the light brown is much prettier than I would have imagined. I emailed my mom about it last night, I know she'll think it's hysterical!! She had 3 daughters and I was the only one brave enough to let her practice on me....there is NOTHING we haven't done to my hair! She doesn't practice anymore either, but back in the day her specialty was the weekly granny roller set.....got to love those grandmas and their standing weekly appointment!

Mariah, I can not believe that we are half way through......this has gone by SO FAST....I love this group and am so glad we've found each other, you all have made this journey so much better for me!!!!

Well, I'm off to work......will try to post a pic later of the new hair color. Have a great day!!

BTW the jacket puckered when I tried to laugh...one of the girls at work is rubbish at taking photos just like me..and it must have taken us a thousand tries to get one that looked half way decent. I kept stifling a giggle and my jacket puckered because I was bent somehow. My gut though not flat is not that bulging.
(well that's my story and I'm sticking to it)

Wow Rob! I'm sure you have heard it tons of times already but you look absolutely AMAZING! That is such an incredible transformation. It looks like you have been working your butt off and you look great!! That is so awesome to see such a huge difference in such a short amount of time!

Good Morning Everyone,

These days seem to fly by. I am leaving for Indiana this Saturday coming up. Looking for a new place to live. I must admit, I'm nervous about staying on this WOE. In the car I will take plenty of snacks and water. Still ,this will be out of my routine. In about 4 weeks I am going on vacation to Germany for 10 days. This is where it will be very difficult. I am a routine person. Anything out of the norm derails me. If this happens then all I will do is spend my days bingeing . It is just part of my food addition personality. On the upside I believe I can finally fit on a plane without a seatbelt extender. This is what I worked hard for.
Oh Rob I can't wait to get to where you are. Thank you for posting the pictures. They inspire me everyday!
You can do it Sammi!! I believe in you! Just try your best to portion things out if you need to and have a good plan set up beforehand of the foods you will bring, and you should be fine!! And YAY for doing so well and experiencing accomplishments with your upcoming airplane ride. You should be very proud of yourself!

Good morning ladies! I apologize for being so MIA. I am going to look back at all the posts now that I have some time this morning. Down 2.5 this week. Not bad but I really need to get my butt out of the 200's. I am officially starting my Egg Fast today. I am going on a vacation in the beginning of June to Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon and I DO NOT want to be in fat clothes then. So Im hoping this will kick start my loss again (60 days to prepare!)

Tentative Menu:

B:
-1 Egg White Protein Shake (1 Scoop Egg White Protein, 1 Cup US Almond Milk, 1 Tbsp. PB2 & 2 Tbsp. HWC)
-2 Cups Coffee W-2 Tbsp. HWC & 1 Tbsp. SF Torani
L:
-Egg Salad (3 Hardboiled Eggs, 1 Tbsp. Mayo, 1 Tbsp. Relish & 1 Tsp. Mustard)
-1 String Cheese
-1 La Croix Peach Pear Water
D:
-3 Eggs Scrambled W-1 Tbsp. Smart Balance
-3 Slices Bacon
-24 Oz. SF Lemonade

+64 oz. Water

~6g Net Carbs
WTG for not giving up and doing your best with what your working with. If you don't mind me asking how long do you usually do egg fasts for? How long until you get tired of them? I'm not really an egg person but have thought about doing an egg fast just to speed things up some occasionally.

Love the new hair!! It looks great on you! Very pretty! And I am the same way with vodka... but unlike you when I drink all my healthy judgement habits literally go out the window and I want to eat up everything in sight. At least it was only a lb up from last week and not a few like what always seems to be the case with me!

I have been so bad with posting in this group and I really apologize. I know EVERYONE is busy with life but I really have not felt like I have had a good moment to sit down and write to everyone. I've been lurking a lot and will usually just come through and see how everyone is doing when I have a few minutes. I ended up gaining this week.. 1/2 a lb. I know its water weight from my 3 day binge fest that occurred this weekend and it will be gone soon but man, I'm so tired of doing this to myself. I drank on Fri/Sat and ate pizza (twice).. fajitas.. at least 5-6 cupcakes...spaghetti..ice cream.. candy..chips..donuts.. and that's just the items I can remember. I literally just didn't stop eating. I'm a little mad at myself for derailing some of my hard work but I am back on track now and have "restarted" once again. Not sure I will ever learn how to beat the cycle of either eating super healthy, or binging, but for now I am taking it one step and day at a time and trying to go easy on myself. I have so many things going on next month that I want to look good for... My college undergrad graduation, nursing school orientation, and my bf's birthday (which includes a beach trip). Not to mention summer is right around the corner. I am going to try and post as often as I can to hold myself more accountable. So glad I have this group to vent to.

Menu for today was/is:
BF- almond meal/cranberry bar & a mug of almond milk "hot cocoa"
L- 2 T PB on a lc wrap, and another mug of AM hot cocoa,
S- need something to up my calories but haven't decided yet!
D- Salad & veggie stir fry
Sn- quest bar
+96 oz water and did a 2.6 mi walk/run before lunch!

That's awesome!! Way to go on the loss!! It's VERY REWARDING after a day of struggling to get on the scales and see the loss isn't it? It makes the struggle worth while!! Your menu looks fabulous, how are you making the Almond milk hot cocoa??

Everything is good here, I'm slowly undoing the temporary damage that the weekends bourbon dalliance did to my scale......and I managed to avoid Pizza, Frozen Yogurt and more bourbon last night despite my family's dinner decisions....the scale rewarded me ever so slightly this morning by reducing SOME of the weekends gain. The wedding is two weeks from TOMORROW.....so I need to be really good for the next two weeks.....fortunately my dress fits well and emphasizes all the right things while minimizing all the wrong things....but I really need to abstain from ANY alcohol until then.

Thank you, it definitely is! Way to go on your loss too! Sounds like you are right on track for the wedding! For the hot cocoa I do 1 cup almond milk, 1 tsp cocoa powder, and 2 splenda's. Heat & enjoy

What flavor did you try? If you haven't already you should try the chocolate chip cookie dough flavor, it is SO yummy! Sucks that they are so expensive but I think for the flavor and nutritional values it's worth it as an occasional treat! & I agree with the others, your hair looks great!!

I ate completely on plan again yesterday () and did 3.9 miles. Woke up this morning and was down another 2 lbs. I know its water weight and I still have 3 more lbs to lose before I am back at where I was a couple of weeks ago but thank goodness it was a loss and not a gain again! Lloren, awesome job on the loss.....A loss is a loss.....and the scale going down as opposed to up is all that matters!!!

The scale is being a pain in the YOU KNOW WHAT since last weekend .....never should have had that bourbon!! It keeps bouncing up and down in a 3 point swing!! I'd swear it was failing, except that I just put new batteries in it. It has this weird thing though where I can step on it 3 times and each time it will register a different weight.....I think I need a better scale. Does anyone have a great scale that they would recommend?

That's GREAT!!! Compliments are always a good sign.
Ahh the dreaded roller set! I learned how to do those my first round hours. The second time around, these girls could not and did not want to do roller sets. I explained to them that these little ol blue hairs are not going to allow you to come within 10 feet of them with a curling iron, so you had better learn!

Good Morning Ladies,

I leave for Indiana in two days. I will not be able to weigh in on Monday, so I will post my weight on Sunday. This has been an up and down week for me weight wise . The water is the hardest part. I try to drink at least 64 oz daily, but what a struggle.
Tomorrow I must take my dogs to the kennel for one week. It is going to be so busy getting ready for the trip. Wish me luck staying on plan. Yikes this will be challenging not eating in the car. I am such a car snacker and this is a 9 hour car ride. Pork rinds here I come! I can do this.

Tammy, I have an eat smart scale. Every time you step on it , the weight is always the same. This is the best scale that I have used so far. You can order the scale on Amazon and it has great reviews.

It depends I usually just try to go as long as I can sustain it. Last year I did it for about 30 days with really great results. However after a few days the thought of eating just gives me the jeebies and then the texture of eggs can really gross me out…lol

Thank you, you’re so sweet. The picture doesn’t do the color justice but it’s a dark brown with a plum tint. I chopped off about 4-5 inches! I felt like I lost about 10# in hair!

Hello friends, everyone looks beautiful. I love a good haircut! When I stopped working to stay home with babies I decided that salon visits were non-negotiable after a couple bad cuts at cheapo places. So now I keep my hair semi long so that I don't have to have it cut as often, but still go to a goooood place. Money well spent. As soon as I start working again I want to chop it all off and go more frequently!

Alright, true confession time. I have had my first 100% "on plan" day today. It's been a while since I have been 100%. I have been struggling with binge eating. I though that demon was slayed, but he popped his head back up. I think last night when I considered throwing up (felt like it, but it would have been forced..) that I knew it was time to get a grip. So I am trying to be kind to myself and just get back to it. My husband is gone for the next three days. Normally this would be reason enough for me to binge (no one to see!!) but I am turning it into a time to just eat what I NEED and not worry about anyone else. I will feed the kids, but they are easy I have kept up reading on here and I really woke up every morning trying, if you know what I mean..but somewhere along the day I would fall. So back to an HOUR at a time..sometimes a minute at a time to measure success.

I am glad you guys are here...I don't know if I would have pulled out of this free fall quite this soon if it wasn't for you.

Sometime you can only do so much. One step at a time, doesn't matter if that's one week, one day, one hour, or one minute at a time. As long as you find what you can do and what works for you.

Besides, we're always here for you 24/7!

I made these last night, and wholly cow they are so good!!! If you are doing keto or need to up your fat intake fat bombs are such a treat and way tastier than eating a spoonful of straight coconut oil. and I LOVE anything coconut! They are especially great if you are a fan of almond joy candy bars. I have found other recipes with peanut butter, but I am just not a fan of pb. It always has a way of burping back up on me, again...

I went Jeans shopping today.
I love white linen and I am crazy about white jeans too, but could not wear white before now....I bought so many today...I was like a kid in a candy store.
I bought linen and jeans in capris, ankle grazers, skinny jeans, wide leg, straight leg, flared..you name it. I even grew some cojones and got some coated jeans that looks like brown leather....for when I go clubbing (Yep folks you read right..I'm 19again)
I am practically chomping at the bits waiting for Easter to come and go so I can rock my white gear.
The stretch jeans ones are my fave. The hug me in a really nice way, and I like how they fit.

Rob, look at how skinny you are!!!!! I'll bet you had a fabulous time shopping for all those jeans! All of your hard work and perseverance the past year has really paid off!

Wickedstitch, those fat bombs look great, I'll bet they'd be good with some shredded coconut stirred in! It seems so strange to me that the young hairdressers today don't really know how to use curling irons.....most of them don't even have them at their stations!! I have at least 3 curling irons and a worn out set of Hot Curlers and I'd be lost without all of them!!

Sammi, have a great time on your trip....Pork rinds should be a GREAT travel snack....and nuts, those would be good to! I've heard the Eatsmart scales are good....the one I ordered had slightly higher ratings and favorable reviews....and it looked really cool too.....hopefully it's as good as the reviews all said.

Well ladies, I hope everyone's having a fabulous weekend. Things are good here, I wanted to sleep in, but woke at my usual 6:30 am. That was ok though, we lazed around in bed for a while watching TV before we worked our way to the kitchen for coffee. I picked up some groceries, got a manicure, did some laundry.....very boring household stuff. We are grilling some Brats and Italian sausages for dinner though!! The scale was FINALLY being kinder this morning, showed most of the bourbon gain was gone....maybe by Monday I'll actually register more of a loss.

Still on track! I am reading a book I bought a long time ago called The Beck Diet Solution and it is very helpful so far. Not another diet book, but focuses on using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to change your thinking about losing weight and being on a diet. My brain is what trips me up not my stomach so I am addressing that part of my challenge.

Calories and carbs are spot on and I think I shall be done eating for the night. I bought some very dark chocolate and I may have one square later. My mood gets terrible sometimes with low carb and I am hoping the good stuff in the chocolate will act like prozac. Only one square though...

If I like something, until I'm staring at the bottom of the packaging, I'm never done.

I had a really Good day today....yesterday was a washout.
I inhaled a whole packet of biscuits ( cookies) after I was supposed to be done eating for the day.
I keep deluding myself that I would know its in the house and not eat it...This was supposed to go into work for tea break for folks at work.
Today I had so much fun I jogged and walked and the weather was lovely...my eating was perfect...why can't everyday be like today.

Thanks hon.....What makes it even sweeter is that a lot of them were 50%-60% off...mehn, smaller sizes are so deeply discounted its unreal. I was paying half price or less, for £49.99 jeans..I kept asking is this real...the girls were laughing at my incredulity.

I totally understand where you’re coming from Amy! Those thoughts are constantly popping in to my head especially when Im watching my intake so closely. Its like I know I shouldn’t eat off plan but then the demon side of my brain gets a hold and says, “sure you can eat off plan, just throw it up and it wont count” dangerous situation to be in…good for you for stepping above it! We are here for you!!

Melting Pot was WONDERFUL! Totally not LC but wonderful just the same. If you’ve never been Id recommend it! We did all 4 courses (cheese fondue, salad, meat fondue, & then chocolate), seeing Jim Gaffigan afterwards was a ton of fun as well. Plus it was a beautiful night. Couldn’t ask for a better date night

Dont dwell on the cookies! Also good for you for jogging and walking and getting in a good day after the cookie episode. It happens, we’re human! Pick yourself up and dust yourself off!

Hello everyone! Still doing well. 3lb loss from last week in just as many days. I checked to see if I was in ketosis yesterday and I was! I am keeping the carbs low and also watching calories. Walking twice a day. Well...walked twice today. Who knows what tomorrow will bring.
