Good morning ladies, TGIF!!

Welcome Boston & Dana, happy to have you join our group of cheerleaders!!

Amy, definitely hug me, I'm a lover, not a fighter! The fried cheese IS addicting isn't it?!?! I can never eat plain string cheese any more. You can beat these cravings!!! Your body is trying to sabotage you, but you are smarter than that and you've come a long way!! Drink LOTS of water, really flush yourself out.....and maybe try something different, like a fat fast or an egg fast or something to help you really re-focus....I find that works wonders for me!

Rob, you are such a source of encouragement!!! Thank you!!! I am so glad you're back to feeling that your WOE is sustainable, I really believe that's so critical to helping us break the cycle of losing and re-gaining!

Well kids, I survived LA traffic, but it wasn't pretty, let me tell you!! What is normally a 1 hour drive took 2 yesterday morning!!! I gave myself an hour an a half, and still ended up being late!!! Lunch was good, I was totally able to stay on plan, and even avoided the HUGE cookies they were passing around! I did cave a little though on the candy.....they had big bowls of little fun size snickers and andes mints, etc everywhere and I did have some of those....but I didn't go too crazy and fortunately chocolate does not trigger awful cravings for me. I figured that a few of those were a MUCH better alternative than the cookies and the tortillas. I also had a bourbon & Diet coke when I got home, after all that traffic I thoroughly enjoyed that!!! I was still in ketosis this morning, so I feel good about my choices......I really want to make sure that I don't have any scale backlash though, so I think I'm going to fat fast today and this weekend.....give my body a break for a few days.

Well, I need to jet to work, I'll try to check in later. Have a GREAT Friday everyone!!

Hi everyone . Our group is rapidly growing.
Glad to see all the new members.

Would have liked to check in yesterday but my life is hectic right now. Feels like my head is going to fly off my shoulders. I'm still doing well , eating on plan and exercising. The weight is just dropping off me. Which is weird. There will probably be a boomerang effect so I'm cautiously ecstatic

I'm 148.2 now. Like a 6 pound loss so far this week. Must have been retaining a lot of water. I think I'm losing water weight because I started drink the tea this week. My water intake is now probably a gallon a day. Which is awesome because I'm not hungry either. next week is TOM and I have the worst pms imaginable so I'm going to enjoy this week. As its going to change fast.

Mariah- love your new avi. Very very glamorous, Gorgeous. How are things going?

Tammy- your dog is adorable. I have a puggle who is a little over a year old. What a breed. Very lovable but boy can they eat. She absolutely lives to eat. I partly blame her for my weight gain. LoL.
It was so sweet what you said about my weight loss. Let me be your mirror of the future you. I was exactly where you are now. Keep doing what works for you and enjoy what you eat. It comes off slowly but surely. Have you increased your water intake? I think I'm losing a lot because tea helped me do that. Stevia doesn't give me any cravings thus far. I only started it recently so things can change but so far so good.

Rob- I am so happy it was the whey that was giving you the cravings. You must feel amazing now. I was talking to a friend of mine at the gym who literally looks like Arnold Swartzenagger and I told him about my experience and he started laughing and asked me who told you to take whey. He said to never, never do that it's notorious for causing cravings and weight gain. Lesson learned. Although u am somewhat disappointed i can't use it to bake anymore. I'm going to use oat fiber. Have you tried it? It is such a joy to let myself enjoy food this week. To trust myself and my body. I've been listening to it. Trying to give it what it wants. No guilt. No anguish. It's so tranquil. Loved your post about your pickled onions and cheddar. Hope the weather has remained nice for your walk today. It's cold again where I live. And although I detest the cold, I'm not complaining. Some long johns solve the problem quite nicely.

Amy- I'm sorry to hear of your struggle with artificial sweeteners. Which ones are causing problems for you? I might be able to help. I've done a lot of research on them myself trying to find what works for me. As you probably know, when these sugar cravings strike increasing water intake and exercise really helps. I'm sure your puppy and you are getting plenty of that. Keep it up. Another thing is your body may just be saying it wants a little sugar like a half or a whole fruit. Are you in ketosis? I forgot. Take everything slowly. You will get past this.

Sammi- glad to see your plan is working this week. Keep up the walking. Looks like Monday will be a good weigh day. We deserve it.

Dana- hi and welcome. Great to see you finally broke the plateau with a pound lost. Why do you have adrenal fatigue? I was overtraining last year and definitely developed adrenal fatigue it was very hard for me to return to exercise . You literally should only work out 15-20 minutes the max per day or every other day. You need to rest. It's very difficult to heal from that. I'm still struggling with it to some degree.

Bosten girl- welcome!

Well I will be cutting back my exercise a bit. Probably from 10 to 7 hours a week. My body is telling me I'm pushing to hard.

Have a great day everyone.

Probably due to an overly stressed life this past 6 months. We moved and it was by far the hardest move for me. Add in parenting six beautiful boys, homeschooling, and managing a home to all of that while doing my best to cook from scratch, garden, and just keep up.

I had my hormones and cortisol levels checked a month a go and I'm very high in the am and late pm, while wanting to "crash" during the daytime. It's a battle, but I'm doing better through supplements and going to bed earlier. I'm also learning to keep myself calm and walk away when I need to just get a break. My husband is super supportive and encouraging so that's been quite helpful too. I got a 4 hr nap yesterday!

Where is everyone at? I haven't seen a new post since my last one yesterday at 3pm. I find that odd!

I ate a salad last night with dressing and bacon on it! After being on a very strict HCG protocol for phase 2 I've now hit phase 3 and am enjoying the good fats already! Bacon and eggs for breakfast and HWC in my coffee already!

I'm so happy!

Lea..I don't think I necessarily have a metabolic problem with artificial sweeteners, I get the taste and I want more! No matter the sweetener. I use stevia in my tea. Chillin with the rest for now.

Doing good here! Kept on plan yesterday by having some fried cheese when I really wanted a candy bar. Worked. Today I am going out to lunch with some friends but will be getting a salad that I love (cobb...yum). Keeping my nose to the grindstone and trying to not lose focus.

Hi ladies,

How's everyone doing? It's a beautiful sunny day here in So. Cal, DH and I took a nice drive along the coast....our favorite weekend thing to do!

I'm doing a Fat fast this weekend, woke up yesterday and today very NOT hungry.....that's usually my cue that my body wants to do this for a few days. I made cream cheese muffins last night for breakfast this morning and those were a BIG hit....DH loves them!! They are so easy too....I have a new favorite.

Hi Dana, yes it tends to get a little quieter towards the weekend when everyone gets busy, but no worries, we all check in as we can! I absolutely love the higher fat content in my WOE......I have learned through trial and error that I lose MUCH BETTER with higher fat ratios. I typically shoot for 70 - 80% fat every day.

Amy, way to go with the fried cheese! Anything that helps us stay on track is a good thing! How was your lunch with your friends?

Lea, I hear you on the busy....hope all is well!

How's everyone else doing??

Hey everyone! I know I am so super late on this. I have been out of town and didn't use the internet much due to data usage on my phone. I ate terribly this week and I don't regret it one bit! I was on VK for goodness sakes! Anyways, I am back now and will update my weight again for tomorrow, but I know based on the weigh-in I had this morning, I will likely be a few lbs above my starting weight! I know its mostly water weight and will melt off pretty quickly once I get back into the groove of things. Now its time to prepare for my 5k coming up in June! Everyone's losses looked great! I will come back through and try to get back on the same page as everyone else ASAP!

Despite my being OVERLY active this weekend, I am still at the same weight. Perhaps it's taking my body a bit to release it.

This past weekend it was delivery weekend for the Baseball teams mulch fundraiser. Not only did I drive one of the 12 huge trucks, like over 26 feet long. I also hefted and tossed bags of mulch. In 2 days we delivered over 16,000 bags of mulch. It was an exhausting weekend. Unfortunately, the food they served us was carby. I ate more bread this weekend than I have in a very long time.

Now I've got to knock it back out of my system. Maybe a meat fast is in order?

Have a GREAT week all and THANK YOU for the warm welcome!!! This is a busy board, I need to be more mindful of checking it regularly.

You are most welcome
wow!! that was a lot of mulch to heft
You drove a 26 feet long truck?...you are my "shero"
I love strong women. One of the downsides to weight loss is that I found my "bionic woman" powers diminish..then again I have not been lifting weights, I plan to this time around when I hit goal, I cannot bear to guess as to whether the usual gain with muscle building, is or is not fat gain...will mess with my head...I am tied, nailed, rivetted,to scale readings sadly.

Good Morning lovely ladies!! I am so sorry that I have been MIA! I've been so busy this past week and this weekend that I've hardly had time to think! This week was not the best for me and I am maintaining from last week which isn't bad, its just not good! I really need to get my butt in gear and jump start my loss again. I am thinking of doing an Egg Fast this week to try and get out of the 200's finally! Blech!

Looking at everyone's losses this week it looks like everyone is doing a darn good job!

I will definitely try and post more this week!

On a side note, my best friend was induced this morning for her first baby (she is a week late) So I am hoping when I get off work that I can make it to the hospital to see a beautiful newborn! So exciting!!

Hope everyone has a fantastic Monday!!

Ps: Welcome to the newcomers!!

I was struggling a ton this week as well! We can do this! I know for me artificial sweeteners are a big no if I want to stay on plan and eat as clean as possible!

Thank you

Also congrats on the huge loss this week!! That must feel awesome!!

Gawd...bad bad week. I am skipping the weigh in because I am disgusted with myself. I am back to where I started plus some. I know that some is water weight (probably a lot...very bloated..) but the number was earned. So I am turning my disgust into determination. It would be nice if I would not have to get to disgust before turning towards determination...

Back to basics for me. Meat, eggs, cheese, and fats. Fridge is stocked and I will fight through.

I hear you Amy. It has been such a struggle. Congratulate yourself for never giving up and losing hope. Everyday we can start new and forget about yesterday! Do not be hard on yourself, believe me, we know how hard this is. I am going through the same frustrations.

Amy if I were you, I would still do the weigh-in. Tell you why...keeps one accountable, this journey is not about perfection, rather its about 'doing it' despite how challenging, daunting, frustrating it is.
When you look back at the journey, the parts where the weight loss stalled or reversed reinforces in one's mind that 'Its possible to succeed no matter how uphill it appeared at times' just my 2pence.

Just wanted to pop in and check on everyone. Sorry that I have been absent from the group. I literally do not have a single spare hour in my schedule for anything these days, not even sleep as I am back to my 3-4 hour a night sleep schedule.

FINALLY got below 300! I was so happy to see a 2. C-ya 300 forever! Still haven't cheated or eaten off plan since Jan 3rd. I am going for 100 days which conveniently is right before my b day next month. I have been forcing myself to exercise each day which takes away from my sleep, but I really want to be around 280-285 by April 20th ( bday). I hope all of you are doing well. I am reading posts but wont be able to comment on all of them.

Hi Kids,

LaVella, WAY TO GO!!!! You have worked SO HARD to get under 300 and YOU DID IT!!! That is a tremendous accomplishment, with no cheats.....I am very impressed! Good job lady, you are on your way!

Rob, I so completely with your words of advice. It is so important to be accountable...at least to ourselves! That's the only way we will ever achieve our goals. Great job on your loss this week!

Amy, you can do this! We all have our stumbles....just get back up, dust yourself off and keep moving forward.....that's the main thing!

Mariah, You know sometimes maintaining as opposed to gaining when you've been struggling and stressed the way you have been is a huge victory....AWESOME JOB!

Sammi, great job on your loss this week! You are doing well, and your advice was perfect....every day is a new day to start over!

Well today was a rough Monday!!! I had to be in court super early this morning for an eviction hearing that took ALL DAY LONG!!! The good news is that it made it super easy to stay on plan because I didn't get a chance to eat hardly anything!

I will post my official weigh in tomorrow morning, I was too rushed this morning to weigh. I was weighing 216 over the weekend....I'll check tomorrow and see if that held.

I hope everyone else had a great Monday!!

Hi everyone. I've been really busy and worried. My mom is in the hospital. My. Weigh in yesterday was 149. Hopefully I'll lose some weight soon. It's not my focus this week. I'll check in when I have time.

Keep up the positive momentum. We are all gonna do our best this week and see the payoff!

Hi everyone,

Lea, I'm so sorry to hear that your mom is in the hospital! Definitely sending up prayers for you both!!

Mariah, great plan!!!! I think the pictures to keep you focused and motivated are an EXCELLENT idea!!

How's everyone else doing?

Today is SO MUCH BETTER than yesterday was! I've been getting caught up at the office, and eating is on plan. I've been doing some reading lately on cheese, and dairy products in general. I have decided to try eliminating dairy from my diet for the next few weeks. This is a VERY big step for me.....I've eliminated so many things, and I do LOOOOVE my cheese and HWC....but I was reading that there seems to be a very real link between dairy and Tinnitus.....and I've had that darn ringing in my ears ALL MY LIFE....seriously I have never known a time when I did not have this. I don't even think about it most of the time, but I was reading that a lot of people who eliminate dairy find real relief for this, so I thought I'd try it....I figure it can't hurt anything, and who knows....maybe it will help??? Maybe it will help my weight loss too?

I bought some blue eggs on a whim...their yolks are a bright orange...you just reminded me...I'll boil them for tomorrow.
