Are you counting the fat in your calories?

My tuna was canned in oil so I reduced the mayo to 1T and it is so yummy it was hard not to eat it tonight

Jeannie, you might be surprised to find you don't have the reflux when you eat fat on super-low carb. I used to get reflux when I had fatty foods too, but I discovered it was only the carb-fat combo that caused issues. When I keep it low carb I can have all the fat I want! In fact, for weightloss purposes (outside of HCG, of course) I've found the more fat the better!

Lemon, my reflux is ten times worse when eating carbs w/fat for sure, but I still get it when I eat a lot of fat and very low carb

Terri, I think I am going to go with counting the fat at about 1/2 of it's caloric value at least where the mct oil is concerned. I think hcg 2 even said you could not count it all.... not sure though

Got in my arm challenge and a little extra walking today, I wimped out yesterday felt too tired and crappy to do more than the arm challenge. I still have a bit of a headache today, but it is better.

Hope you two have a great on-plan day

Jeanie - That sounds fair. I think I'll count my fats but not worry too much if they push me a little over. Not counting could be a recipe for disaster for me.

I'm already feeling better doing M&E with a little fat than with the low fat/low calorie. How about you? Do you think that's what gave you the headache?

So what about tomorrow? Is that the start of your LC weekend? I think I'd like to stick with M&E for another day. Not sure if I'll have a glass of wine with DH or not, but if I do I'm going to limit it to a glass or two max. Many times that even works in my favor. I call it “the wine cheat”. I think I'll follow you with the LC weekend (no more than 30 carbs) and then Sunday or Monday back to low calories. Depending how I feel, I might just go back to M&E, with the 1000 calorie max I think that would be real doable and qualify as low calorie enough. What about you? Are you still taking the Aminos? I’m still doing the Pellet/Amino combo.

I plan to keep with the arm challenge and hopefully fit in a lift/squat or two in there somewhere. DH is having back issues so we probably won’t walk much. I’ll at least do my power walk at lunch today and tomorrow hopefully. I know I'll be doing some gardening. I need to get my tomatoes planted.

What about you Lemon? What are your plans to get you through your Easter celebration and beyond?

Here's what I am thinking. Sound good to you or would you rather change it up more often?

Alternate meat/egg/fat day(1000 cals) with meat/egg/fat/ cheese/veggie day(1200 cals) throughout the week. Weekends would be more relaxed while still being mindful of carbs and cals.

Exercise could be just do something each day.

Any thoughts or changes?

I am taking the aminos, I really do feel like they help with cravings. I do think the higher cals and fat makes me feel better overall. I get mighty cranky and impatient with low calories and don't cope well with stress.

I think that sounds fantastic and right where my head is right now. I am totally in!

What do you think about alternating exercise too? Alternate doing something with doing two somethings?

I’m not sure if it’s the lower fat, lower calories or both, but I have the same problems. I don’t even like myself.

I don't know what came over me, I wanted some crunch and thought just a couple of almond cracker's will be okay as long as I keep my cals in check. Well the whole box is gone now! I buy them for my son who can't eat wheat, but am going to have to find something else for him that I don't like. Important now is for me to just keep on keeping on with our plan.

How is your day going?

Sorry, that sounds like my bear claw day last week. I'm so much better at passing completely than taking just one.

My day is going very well today. So much better then yesterday. (You made me feel much better about the cake pop yesterday incidentally ) Remember this plan of ours allows for living. That also includes not so wise of choices sometimes. So isn't it nice to know neither one of us blew our diets, we just didn't make as wise of choices as we did on a different day and we're still moving forward. And all & all it could have been a lot worse than almond crackers. It's it funny how our perspectives have changed.

Thanks Terri. Tomorrow will be a better day. Even though I didn't stay strict m&e today I think I will still move on tomorrow to a meat/egg/veggie/cheese 1200 calorie day, just to not start the new day off feeling restricted.

Yeah me too. I thought about trying to do another low cal day today after the cake pop debacle, but I was afraid it would have blown up in my face. Instead I'm a happy camper. I think we just might be getting this figured out my friend.

Well the good news is my weight is back down to Pre-bearclaw/Viginia City level Bad news is I don't get to move my ticker down. Worst news is I already got my blood tests back and my cholesterol is the highest it's ever been 209, the ratio and triglycerides are good so I’m not going to panic but this may just be the push I need to get my (not so) little hinny planted back in the low carb seat and losing some weight.

How is your day going?

Had a good day, of course the day I planned to allow 1200 calories is the the day I have had zero appetite. Pork steak and a fried egg with a couple bites of cabbage is all I have eaten today. Probably be starving tomorrow.

I have a blood work slip that I have been ignoring, guess I better get that done soon. I hate going cause it's fasted and I need my coffee first thing to function. Also hate the crowd and the long wait time.

Hi Terri and lemon, hope you're enjoying your weekend.

Having a nice low carb day so far, ribeye and brocolli for brunch
Will probably just have a small dinner later.

Did arm challenge, 2 mile walk and bridges/abs.

Hey Pal,
Nice loss for the week!

I had an okay weekend. Low carb"ish", but a little too much alcohol. Did my gardening and AC. I'm thinking of going for a couple 600 ish low carb 2.0 days. How about you?

Pretty hungry today. I think I might go back to M&E 1000/MEC&V1400. I've had some radishes & tomatoes already so maybe I'll start with MEC&V1400. Already did my power walk. How are you doing today?

Well I had a superb weekend but today I totally blew it. Man, I really think I am just destined to be at this weight. Have you ever been in deep ketosis? Maybe I need to really figure out how to get there

My fastest path to deep ketosis is fat fast. Every time!

I know what you mean. I've been gaining and losing the same 5# all year.
I say call it an up day and put it behind you. I'm kind of trying to do that with the weekly weigh ins. I figure whatever else, if I can be a little lower each Friday, maybe that will work in the long run.

I haven't done this in a long long time, but tomorrow I plan to fast, only coffee with light cream. Fat fast should work if I can do complete fasts, but I never seem to even make it through one day of a fat fast.

Trying to get my mind right for tomorrow's fat. I am shooting for coffee only, but will eat a very light late dinner if I can't handle it.

I'm sorry that's so frustrating. I know just how you feel. I don't seem to be able to stick with anything, but M&E and only because we’re alternating with MEC&V. And that's only during the week. So far I can barely hang on by my fingernails on the weekend. I think I made it until about 2:00 yesterday myself doing a 600ish day, until I caved. I moved over to MEC&V and kept it under 1200 no problem. So I think I'm just going to stick with that for a while rather than fail at something else Today I have a 1000 calorie M&E planned.

Good for you Terri, you have more control than I do for sure. I get so tired of trying at times, bur really what is the alternative? Fat and sick is not an option.

Yeah well, 3 oz of almonds later I don't know what happened, I was only going to have a "few".

And NO fat and sick is NOT an option.

Lately I'm so susceptible to suggestion. After you asked about Ketosis I've been thinking about nothing else but Fat Fast and checking out my weight loss journals. The last couple days I've been upping my fat 69% yesterday, and 81% today. I had to get up to 1826 calories to get there though Tomorrow I'm actually planning it, I have it figured for 83%, 1200 calories.

I want what I had in 2010 when I was at goal, which was 6 months of no overeating and/or binge eating. I must have been in ketosis then?? I can't seem to string any amount of days together to make any real head way.

I will be anxious to hear how the fast works for you Terri.
