Egg/Meat and Egg Fast... Join me!

Hello LCF world!

Well, I've lost about 14lbs since last month doing a modified HCG protocol (no hormones... for all you HCGrs out there I know that's illegal but I did hormone free intentionally).

ANYHOO- I hit a wall and am tired of the HCG food. I did a ketogenic diet before the holidays and lost a nice amount of weight- but of course put some on again through Thanksgiving, Xmas, ect.

So I thought I'd try an egg fast to see if I can get through the wall and keep the weight loss train moving before I move to a traditional LC diet.

Started yesterday, down a lb. Anyone want to play with me?

I did a carb re-load yesterday because I've been in deep ketosis for several weeks, and I was starting to feel really sluggish. I expected to puff up like a balloon but I weighed in just the same.... weird. Anyways, back to eggs and HWC today! Hopefully I can bust through this 187.whatever wall!

Hey there,
I was going to start my meat/egg fast tomorrow (mainly meat). I want to do it for the next 12 days and see where I want to go from there.

Anyway I really need a jump start and want to see a big loss NOW! Spring is around the corner and I refuse to be saying would've, should've, could've.

Once when I did all meat I lost 17lbs in week 1 and another 5lbs in week 2.
Hopefully I get the same results this time around.

I am only eating meat for the next 10 days, so I it's a meat fast for me. My goal is not weight loss but becoming fat/keto adapted. I bet zero carbs for 10 days will do the trick. I have a Precision Xtra Meter to monitor my BG and Ketones daily during this fast. After 10 days I will add back veggies and maybe some berries as long as I still stay fat adapted. I hope this is 50 grams of carbs a day.

I plan to start tomorrow, my 51st birthday. Tiered of the yo yo..Low Carb has been the only diet that has worked for me. Meat, egg and cheese will be my staple for the next 7 days along with green tea and lemon. And lots and lots of water. Wish me luck, I need to take my weight seriously and get back into 'one'derland again.

I hear ya, although I've had success doing portion control it seems with LC it's kind of effortless at times. Like doing this meat/egg fast I KNOW all I can have is meat and eggs. It's crazy but it works!

I don't have the taste for eggs right now and I'm trying to stay away from cheese, but we'll see how all of that goes. I really need to up my water intake too.

Whew! Today with all the talk about snow and the thought of being stuck in the house my first thought was I need some goodies/sweets and I swear I was in major crave mode.

However I remained calm and kept telling myself this is only for 12 days. Just get through these 12 days!

I have been drinking diet sodas like CrAzY! I know I need to slow down and get some water in.

Tomorrow's challenge drink a max of 2 diet sodas and water the rest of the day.

Today's menu - I learned the hard way we must plan ahead, or temptation and hunger will win. But not this time for me.
B eggs scrambled, ground turkey
L hamburger patty 1/4lb
D 3 slices of bacon with ground turkey patty

And 90 oz of water or more, and green tea with lemon... No diet soda.

Okay, let's get this challenge started again! I am going to start this tomorrow and will end this on the 12th of March. Let's see if this gets my motivation going to continue. Any takers... It's only 12 days... will be posting my losses daily as well as my exercise stats!
