Karen have you been taking measurments of yourself?

sometimes the scale isn't your friend but you still lose inches

I guess I should get my scale out of the bad boy closet one day

SS been missing so long, it's been a long haul but DH is doing great. Got home last night just before this big snow storm but that ok going to take a few much needed rest days. Now my turn to get a new start to this weight loss. Gained and now back on plan and not slipping back. Brought clothes with me and they were so tight and uncomfortable that I ended up buying some bottoms. Glad were are all starting out together again. Got to keep pushing and start thinking spring but right now we already have 12 inches of snow and it's still coming down hard.

Misty so glad your back . I was getting worried about you guys . Well I have eaten off plan for two days now, not going to make any excuses just going to jump back on today. Popcorn for supper last night wasn't a good idea. DH and the boys will be home today and so mom will start behaving and cooking once again. Everyone lets all yell, we can do this. 144 days till retirement and I want to lose at least 25 lbs by then so that's my goal and I am sticking to it.

Morning!

Misty~Glad DH is doing Great! Struggling here too. Hope I fit into my airplane pants! Going to try them on today. Gulp!

GJo~Congrats on DS's engagement! KUTGW on sticking to ur goal!

CJ~Snow is Coming & we are Going! Yeah...saw that Skinny BL chick on the news. She lost 155#!

Deb~I hate that 3a witching hour wakeup. Good 4 U on getting new undies. I hate trying on Bras. Ugh!

V~Bummer on ur new puter. Glad it was easily exchanged. Surprised they couldn't retrieve ur pix from the hard drive?! Yum...Chili!

Karen~No Roll! Yay! Yup...I bet GS is messing w/ur Routine!

Scale isn't my friend. Up 2. Dang it! Too much this...& too much that! Been paddling & doing yoga. Went paddling yesterday & a guy that we came up to on hsi board told us a 12ft shark had just came up to his board! I immediately turned around & headed closer to shore!
DH couldn't even keep up w/me! Besides that...we saw 4 whales & 8 turtles. Off to Yoga...NO Sharks in Yoga! Then it's back home to clean & pack. We leave for the mainland manana.

Hello. Just started getting back on the wagon again. Looking forward to getting to know everyone and finding the support that I need and giving support to others. So glad that winter is almost over. Here in central Texas we've been getting snow. Which is so odd for us. We aren't use to all this coldness.

Well ended up with about 14 inches of snow but it's nice and sunny today. Even went for a nice long walk across the lake. Then went food shopping.

Deb thought of you while I was buying a case of Rotell, on sale this week plus a buck of every 3.

Karen really determined to stay on plan this time. I had to major fall backs in the last 2 months. Are you still having a challenge with your DH? You really did well with that.

Jo tks all went good with DH but he's inner ear is so sore. Only thing we are waiting for is the pathology report but all margins were clear so they don't seem to be worried. I love homemade popcorn when GD comes over she likes to make it and sprinkles SF jello on it, sounds awful but it's pretty good. Kinds will eat anything.

Pat seem everything I put on is tight, got to really push hard. I think not enough water is keeping me bloated. When to you come back to Cali? I'm sure you have alot of snow up there. Do you have someone taking care of you house there? Yikes I forgot about sharks nearyou I'd be stayin on the shore line

Cheryl how's it going with you? Glad you didn't get all that snow. Have you been up to the LH?

V did you get slammed with all the snow?

Deb where you going?

Got chicken roasting in the oven, so nice to finally be eating my own food. I don't know how some people can eat out all the time. My friend eats out or does take-out all the time.

We have been in the deep freeze the past few days. We got about 9 inches of snow, but the winds caused some pretty big drifts. Then temps dropped into the single digits and below zero wind chills. School has been cancelled all week, as the streets are still snow packed and hard to travel. The city has run out of salt, and many of the vehicles are not running right. Tomorrow we might be back in the double digits...

I have just been happy to stay in the house and catch up on things. My eating is not on plan, but I have not had much of an appetite either. So the damage hopefully will be minimal. I miss working out, but it is just too cold and hard to travel to the gym. I have been shoveling snow.. that is a pretty good work out!

I have seen that Biggest Loser has been catching some heat for the contestant that dropped too much weight. However, it is worth noting that she lost the last 50 pounds at home and was not being coached. I hope the lady realized she took it a little too far and will adjust her weight up a few pounds. It is such a personal battle, I hate to judge people for the way they handle it.

Today I am on plan and drinking lots of water. My stomach has been acidy for a few days so I haven't been eating a lot. The water is helping quite a bit.

Misty- So glad you are back home. I hope you get caught up on your rest. 14 inches of snow? Wow, I am glad the sun came out for you!

Deb- You are taking a long weekend this week?? Have lots of fun, but not too much.

Cheryl- We are supposed to have more snow this weekend, but not so much this time. I get sleepy and unmotivated in this type of weather. I need sunshine again..

Jo- I think your goal is a very good one. 25lbs in 144 days... that would be a very nice retirement gift to yourself!

I just joined and am pretty clueless about rules for posting so if this isn't the right place, please correct me. I'm 67 years young, started Atkins 2 years ago, lost 10 lbs. and gave up. Started seriously last Sept. and lost 18 lbs but have been stuck at 180 for months. Exercising is like I'd rather be dead than do any. I am a night snacker, pepperoni and cheese. Is that wrong? I don't get why nothing is happening when I haven't changed what I eat. Any help would be appreciated. My oldest granddaughter is getting married in Sept. and I want to be one hot grandma!

Welcome grammie and Amber seems like everyone is getting snow and a lot of us are struggling this winter. Jump in with questions and anything to let us get to know you. We chat a lot.

Misty so glad you are back and DH did ok. Hope he heals quickly and the tests are ok. Bet you are pooped. No LH. Septic still down and too coooolllldddd to work on it.

Karen good goal and good luck. I want mine to quit going up

Deb can I come? I need to get away

V we didn't get near as bad as you. Amazing what some miles will do. It doesn't look like we will get the Friday snow. We have a dry something parked over us want me to push it over your way? we have t had school here this week either. Only the main roads are clear. Then thaw in the day and freeze at night. But next week we will get in the 30's we are breaking records with awful cold temps. And the breaking the bank with heating bills.

Pat Shark!!!! I would head for shore too!! Have a safe flight home. Hope the airplane pants fit!

Jo is the family back? Tomorrow is the end of the work week! how are you getting around this year with the rough way the ice froze? Not much longer and you will be out of there.

I think I need some warm days in the sun. This weather has me feeling blue. Then I eat. Doesn't help but I still do it. insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Well scale is down 6 ozs it's a start. Another cold morning -8 but the suns out. Going to the laundrymat to wash Roccos bedding, don't like to put it in my machine. So think I go for a nice walk while i'm there.

Karen sounds like your getting the artic cold too.

V I'm going to get back to the gym too. But hate to leave my nice warm house and drive all that way. Then I'm freezing when I leave. I agree looks like she lost way to much but I can remember a while back that another girl lost alot and has still kept it off. As long as it a healthy weight for her I guess it's ok. I think I have to starve to lose that much.

Cheryl I hear you on the utility bill going up. I have electric heat but so glad I have the pellet stove. I use electric for really cold days. But it's still high. Sounds like it's going to take awhile for the septic. Our neighbers well pump went and they have guys working on it for the past few days because the ground is frozen. I left the us my bathroom and fill jugs with water.

Grammie you found the right post and we're all in this together. Come join us. Good motivation to lose with your GD getting married.

Pat glad you made it home safe and sound. Deb sounds like you had a bad day, wine time for sure. Enjoy your vacation and have some fun. Karen my water is good my food not so good Welcome Amber and Grammie you found a great place to hang out. Misty any loss is good at least its in the right direction. Cheryl did you jump in Debs suitcase? V it would be nice to lose the 25...I better get to work on that. Didn't have a good scale week, I am good one day then not,. I have to stop this and get on track and stay there. I guess I need so motivation. Hopefully it warm up soon and we can get out snowshoeing. Cheryl yes everyone is home again and they flooded the ice to smooth it out so its pretty good . Just took longer to be able to use it. Well hope you all have a great day.

Misty~A case of Rotel! Wow! U really do likey that stuff! Jello on popcorn? Never heard or thought of that! Wonder if Crystal lite tastes good shaken on popcorn? Yeah, GF here house sits for us & cares for my plants while I'm away. I agree...homemade meals are the best! It's snowing rt. now...so, the snow is here!

Deb~Have a Fun time! Some Wine time indeed!

Karen~Hoping the -10# will be gone by the end of Tax Season!

Grammie~Pepperoni & cheese is a Good Snack! My Fav is Salami & Cheese...but, the sodium overload always gets me!

CJ~Burr-cold! Airplane pants did Fit! Whew! Yup...agree on the INSANITY!

GJO~I certainly didn't have a Good Scale week either! Yeah...get back to ur snowshoeing & that should get U back on track.

Rain/snowing here rt. now. Scale is not my friend! Usually, after traveling...I have lots of Bloating. Didn't get to bed until around 1am. Then it was a wait & see when the Zzzz would occur! The storm blowing in wasn't any help in the noise dept! It was a busy 1st day of Errands, major Grocery shop & stuff. Bought a rotisserie chicken to munch on after shopping. No cooking tonite! Still need to finish unpacking. Won't be going to Yoga until prolly Mon.. I need some time to acclimate & get my act together!

Pat I'm glad you are going to relax a little. The howling wind getting to you?

Jo ok how do you flood the ice when everything is frozen ?? I've gained too much to fit in Debs suitcase so I stayed home.

Misty I need to try that jello on popcorn.

Karen what are you drinking? I know what I would like and it is t water

So today I just ate when I was hungry and what I felt like. It felt good. And less stressful. IF I can continue to eat like that I think I will be ok. It will be slower. And maybe as I get some of the weight off I will have to be stricter. But it feels right for now.

Pat you have been very busy but I am sure you will get settled in very quick. Cheryl the watch trucks with warm water and with big hoses the flood it like they would a skating rink but a lot bigger *L* it smooths the road out. Lots of work for a few months but worth it. Will I have to make 4 pizza before lunch for another fund raiser for the school so I better get at it. Have a great Sunday.
