February!
Can we make it through.
They are predicting warmer temps and calmer weather for us starting around the 11th.
God, I hope so.

Family came over for dinner. I just can't look at my DGS enough. You ladies were certainly right. He is just so damn sweet that my heart just wants to burst!
They didn't stay long after dinner as everyone was tired. Their daycare is wonderful. She made a little flipogram of his first two days at her house and sent it last night. It was so cute!

Not sure what's up for the weekend....groceries, a couple errands, some cleaning and relaxing. Not sure if DH is up for anything.....still hasn't gotten his test results.

MK, how is DH doing?

Up early and watching video's on YouTube and then will watch The Following.....

Just saying good morning. We were up a little later last night, DS16 had friends over and it was nice listening to big boy laughs. They are so cute even at 6'4" or whatever. (One of his really good friends got nicknamed the "man-child" by some of the moms in MS because he was huge with a full beard by 8th grade) I always think DS16 is "big" until I see him with his friends and then he still looks tiny.

I started my morning with Youtube too Cindy. I watched some recipe videos and then switched to the UK version of Being Human. I'm having a harder time getting into the Following this season for whatever reason.

Superbowl Sunday!
I don't really care - don't like either team much, especially the Bronco's, but prob will watch for commercials.

So, here is the story summarized, about DSIL's parents: DD sent me an email that DSIL's mom sent him......according to her and DD26 this was mild. DD24 has been sharing alot with DD26 - they are keeping me out of most of it as they know I would be more than pi$$ed and I am anyway. DSIL's Mom told him that he and DD are being selfish, that she can't believe they are doing this and should have consulted them before they went to FL. His Dad is pi$$ed. His mom said that he should have talked to his Dad about this before DD posted on FB. WTH? They have been talking about this since last December with everyone - and of course with us since way before that. His older sister is pissed and said her DH turned down a promotion that would have caused them to move to stay closer to family. His younger sister is on the fence. They basically threw up to him all the financial support they have provided him and DD. Are you freaking kidding me? With EVERYTHING they do, there are strings. She threw up the fact he has no student loans, and quite a few other things. One thing my DH and I said with our kids; if we can't help them out, out of the goodness of our hearts, then something is wrong, and there will NEVER, EVER be any strings attached. DSIL's Mom's brother (who is married, no children and in a band), and her sister, who is gay, absolutely support them. It's find of funny because his Mom really doesn't get any of their lifestyles......they are all about appearances, looking like they have a lot of $$ (they kind of do). We are sure they think DH and I are hicks. I never told you about the speech they had to give at DD's wedding - alot of our friends and family were It was all about THEM! Isn't a toast or speech supposed to be about the couple? So, that is it basically - we are hoping DSIL will change his mind and go with DD when she moves. Not sure what will happen, but isn't this their decision? DH and I are just flabbergasted. Uncle told DSIL last night, that's not the first time that he has gone against what his parents think is right and it's time he worries about what's right for he and DD. I can't even believe it. I want to pummel both his mom and dad.

So that's it in a nutshell - it's been hard - I am sure when they come home next weekend for DGS's dedication, he won't go home again. How sad is that?

Oh Cindy, unfortunately, I can totally relate, we had 3 or 4 years of pretty much that same conversation with my parents & grandparents. The first time we moved (only a little more than an hour away) was harder because we were younger had a new baby etc. I had one uncle that I was able to vent to. He moved away after college. (& he is gay as well).
When we moved here, we only told my uncle & DH's brother until it was almost time to pack up to minimize the face to face hysterics. Because the conversations were the same (& I was older & more sure of who I was it was easier). My uncle (my moms brother) actually told them he didn't blame us for waiting to share because either way I was going to get emotionally manipulated). It took about 2 years with each move to repair the damage. My parents still get upset from time to time, but I really think our relationship is better being apart. My mom & I are super close now. Tell her to hang in there & that her MIl is probably insecure & worried about losing her baby. I'm glad they have someone to vent to & hopefully it will get better with time & distance

Is DGS not being baptized Catholic?

Kelly - thanks for that. I talked to DD a bit ago and she said the Aunt and Uncle were very supportive and said someday his Mom will get over it, but for now, he needs to worry about he and DD. I can't even believe it.

MK - no he is not. Catholicism was shoved down my throat and still is to this day. DD's were baptized, DD26 chose to be confirmed, DD24 did not. I always told them this was THEIR decision, not mine. DD and DSIL aren't sure what they want to do - have found a wonderful non denominational church and they really feel something and get something out of going there......it's beyond religion. I like what they are doing, and DGS will have his dedication and then down the road, when he can make up his own mind, can choose.

Morning!

Hello.......................anybody home?
With us chatting so much, we aren't posting much, lol!
I am good with the chatting on the weekend, but during the week I'm not around.

Busy week ahead at work - our new specialist starts today. I decorated his cube, and we put together a gift bag with the tshirts we wear for events, gum, popcorn, kcups.....I was going to bring treats, but he isn't in the office until after orientation which for him, goes till noon.....I will save them for Friday.

Hoping everyone has a great week!

At the gym.

Off to do core and strength stuff

Then rush to get ready for 12 hour shift. Pouring rain but supposed to snow.

Tomorrow I have annual skills day.

Nothing much new here.

Cindy, we never lived in the same city as our family. I am grateful my kids are close by(40 min away at most). If they moved I would be sad but they have their own lives to live. We had to go where the jobs were. Syracuse would have been a dead end.

Good morning!

Cindy, you're welcome. Moving awayis something of an emotional roller coaster anyway. It's exciting, a little scary, & overwhelming at times. They'll have days after they get there that they're homesick & wonder why they left friends/family. I'm sure with social media it will be a lot easier in many ways. Selective phone answering is a good thing too!
I'm glad she has a safe person to vent to. It's given me a unique perspective & I think (hope) that made me a better more understanding parent (& person)

MK, I'm glad you all made it home safe & sound!

Debbie, How is wedding planning going? Is Mirsa still feeling good?

Mirsa is great.

Wedding plans just in early phases. Have date, venue, photographer I think. They know which invitations they want. May have " the dress". Her mom going to see it tomorrow evening.

I have to get my hair dry and make breakfast. Two hours in gym and I am hungry. Lunch ready to pack.

Still raining hard. North around 20 minutes it is snow. Hope it stays rain because this heavy rain could be very deep snow if it switches over. Going to listen to weather now.

I'm so ready to get my car back!!! DH keeps telling me to rent a car if I need one, thing is, I don't actually NEED one and mine frequently sits in the driveway, but I like that it's there.
I didn't exercise officially this morning, but I'm running errands on my bike and its super windy, so, I'm counting that... (I should always run errands on the bike, but, you know.)

Debbie, it sounds like this FDIL knows what she wants and this will be an easier wedding to plan than the last one.

Apparently when I log into LCF on my phone, it logs me off on my computer!
Can't they fix that?
Remembering my password is too hard.

Morning!

Late day but in early as I have an appt Thursday I need to leave for.
Our new specialist called in yesterday; apparently his home got robbed? Not a good way to start. Hoping this isn't a sign of things to come!

Well here is the latest. I emailed DSIL's mom to ask if I could get flash drive with engagement and wedding pics from her as we would like to get prints made. They helped the kids with the cost of buying the rights to their pictures. So, she can't respond to me, but sends SIL an email (hasn't communicated with him in over a week) and says you can come and get flash drive if Cindy wants it. He emailed me yesterday and said: Hello to the only person who is treating me like a mother right now. My heart just breaks for him. I still cannot get over this.

Becky - still can't figure out how you ordered that cream and are getting it already! That's super fast shipping. Did you upgrade your shipping?

Debbie - Hope work wasn't too bad.

Kelly - I know that sometimes not having a car - you need it! Or at least need to know it's there!

Stay safe all of you getting storms!

Work was crazy busy. Got home after 12.

Today I go in 1:45-6 for skills day. We are supposed to get an ice storm later today. I will have to watch and make sure they don't cancel the skills day.

Cindy, my son put all wedding photos on a memory stick and bought us a digital frame . I have all the wedding photos.

Your poor DSIL. His family is being horrible to him.

Good morning-
We had our parent group meeting last night, it wasn't well attended (no surprise) there isn't anything super controversial and emotional going on right now. That will change when lay off notices go out next month. UGH!

Cindy, for your DD and DSIL! Distance will probably help this situation! Tell them to hang in there!

MK, I have to log in here every time from where ever I'm posting. We have a firewall on the main computer because of the online gaming the guys do. (We still get viruses, so I can't imagine how bad it would be without all the protection stuff they have on it)

Jenn, I know your little guys are keeping you on the go, add the new house and well, I'm sure it's a little crazy there!

Debbie, Are you counting down to your trip here? Hopefully, you have gorgeous weather days while you are here!

Since I can't seem to stay on track with my diet, UGH! I'm putting up some non-food rewards for mini-goals. So, when I get to 134 I'll schedule a pedi at the more upscale (not hotel spa upscale, but local boutiquey upscale) mani-pedi place in town. For 129, I'll get a mani and for 124 (goal!) I'll figure out something when I schedule the mani. (maybe new shoes or jeans or some new product, we'll see what I really want!) I'm one of the tallest of us and I have really good muscle tone, so my goal is staying under 125 but preferably closer to 120.

Nothing seems to be happening weather wise here yet. Tomorrow morning might be messy. I plan to go to the gym after work. Only doing 4 hours. If I had known about my education day back when I scheduled myself I wouldn't have worked tomorrow. The extra hours will be nice with our trip coming up.

Watching Dance Moms. I like reality TV I guess.
DH watching a movie I have no interest in.

I am hungry. Technically my calories too low because I ran. Not sure what to have. Maybe some carrots and hummus.

Hump day!

I still can't believe how horrible DSIL's family is being to him. DD said he will be staying with us all weekend again. I love having him here - unfortunately, this whole thing has caused us all to get closer and DSIL and DH to become closer as well. The other unfortunate thing is that DD always just put up with his family - they are all of the theory that the woman should be obedient - and do what her husband says - well, not in those words, mind you......but that's the way they feel. She is and has been a rebel, and they don't like that. she and DSIL are a perfect fit for each other. DD wants to email MIL and give her a piece of her mind. It's so sad.

Wow - you ladies goals/weights are pretty low. I couldn't get down that low anymore - truly I would look sick. Thankfully, the nurse thinks so too! If I could take 10 off tops, and tone up - which I am trying to do.....it would make a difference. Made an appt with our personal trainer for next week!

DH out of town today/tomorrow. Not sure if I am going to watch Idol tonight - haven't watched in a couple years, but we have a local boy who made it through, plus I like these judges.....

Off to work!

Every one is different Cindy. MK is my height and 10 pounds less then me. I am totally fine with my current weight. I consider myself small boned but big thighs and arms. This doesn't change when I lose weight, I lose in my face, butt and stomach.

You have a personal trainer at work? I would love to work with one. I basically do exercises I was given at PT plus others. I didn't do crunches or planks at PT. I also didn't do two of my ball exercises.

I work 11-3. Plan to go to gym at dinner time.

We had ice storm over night. I think the freezing rain and ice may of stopped. A lot do schools are closed but not PG County where DS works and lives. It is farther east. DH working from home.

Federal government open but people could take " liberal leave". Hospitals always open! Sometimes they cancel elective surgeries but probably not for ice storm. Doesn't effect me.

Cindy my DH away Thursday and Friday.

Your DD and DSIL must feel very angry. They are adults and should live their own life. How does his family feel about them not wanting kids?

I better get moving here. Was up around 5 but fell back asleep. Now I don't have a whole lot of time.

I can't keep up at work either. We aren't suppose to take our phone out. I check it here and there if I have time but work has been crazy busy.

Glad I worked only four and a half hours. There were so many falls today. I started with 9 out of 10 patients with injuries from falling on the ice.

I went to the gym for a few hours. I couldn't get an elliptical first so I ran on the treadmill then did elliptical then bike.

I am off tomorrow. DH traveling the next two days. Tomorrow I hVe to go to tailor, grocery shop and will run at 6 or 6:30 with friends. I probably should cook a few things to have for easy meals. Hamburgers have been my go to food with frozen veggies.

I'm still here!
If LCF sent reminders to my phone I'd be here more!

I'm doing the plank challenge - seriously the best ab workout I've ever had!
So much better than crunches! My weight trainer has us doing a 5 minute ab workout that is so hard - but so much better than trying to do 100 crunches, which I swear were just making my stomach stick out more.
Something about not doing them right . . . .

We are definitely all different - I never thought I'd get this low again.
I don't eat or exercise that much.
It just happened.

Morning!

Bitter cold moving in again. DH back from Nashville tonight. Busy weekend ahead with DD24 home, and DGS's dedication. I have to make a few things Saturday and bring out to DD26's on Saturday afternoon. Service is at 9 on Sunday morning, so need to get ready for Sunday on Saturday.

Debbie - I sometimes wish I had a day off during the week instead of the weekend - it would be nice to get stuff done without others around and the stores not so busy!

MK - how is your DH doing? Any word on DS24, jobs, moving.......

Where the heck is Becky?

Work today......we've been busy.

My hubby on his way to Orlando . Back tomorrow.

I need to run errands today. Must buy valentines, go to bank, buy some food, pick up pants at tailors. Also need to pay bills.

Work tomorrow, Sunday and Monday.

I like my schedule but wish it only worked 8 hour shifts. 12's are necessary or I work more Sundays. I must work 24 weekend hours a month.

Cold here too. 20's kind of cold.
