WOE: one day at a time!!
Start Date: July 14, 2003 - every day!!
Good job on the exercise everyone!! WTG!!

I got my body pump class in today and feel good! I'm planning to take tomorrow off and then workout again on Sat. But I may switch that up, depending on schedule.

I have our home group at our house tomorrow night, so I need to cook, clean etc. while homeschooling, so may not be able to squeeze in a workout plus e shower and primp time . Sat. We're heading down to Tucson (2 hours away) for dd(13)'s volleyball tournament. Love her, and watching and supporting, but don't want to be that far away. Hijacks the entire day! It'll be her first game back from a 6 month injury.

Official weigh in today for week one was: 168lbs. Not goal, but down 6 from a week ago (heavily indulged before that). Now I'll start whittling away the real fat .

I've been doing some reading about keeping my carbs too low, and as a result, I'm going to try to keep/add some good healthy carbs to my mix. Today I added Ezekiel bread-yum! had nice sandwich for lunch and a tangelo. I'll keep dinner lighter and lower fat to accommodate it. Tomorrow I'll lower my carbs and up my fat. I'll try alternating a few days and see how I feel.

I totally bought the workout off of that infomercial years ago too Beach! I actually love it and I followed it religiously for quite a while. Then, like everything else, I slacked off and then never did it again. lol

Good for you! Glad to have you checking in!

My clothes are tight too that LDW sure was nice...

I'm not going to follow that low of a carb plan. I'm gonna have some fruit and maybe the occasional piece of Ezekiel bread. I like how I feel with some carbs still in there. I'll need to watch the fat though. Did my Zumba today, fun class! That's 2 workouts this week. Planning my weights class (bodypump) tomorrow and hope a class on Fri. That'd make my 4 this week!

How're the rest of you doing on your goals?

Together we will figure this out. I guess that's another reason I jumped back on in less than a week (poorly, but at least I was sort of there) but I felt like I was losing control, and clearly I was and I needed to get my head back in and do another 28 days while trying to figure out the end of this.
This is some of the things I have taken from the book, asking her on FB, the video pods, and her web site. Basically, we live a life of eating normal because we are firing up our metabolism. You still avoid that one list of foods to avoid, but if you deviate, it won't make much of a impact because you fixed your metabolism. If you start seeing a few pounds creep up, you do another 28 days to reset or refix your metabolism. You pretty much eat all the foods, but what is unclear...is do you eat them all together, or do you eat one day of phase 1, a day of phase 3...then maybe another day of phase 2...or do you mix it up?
Reading,.........
The "maintenance" book is probably being written as we type.

I am done my first week. It has been great. Yes, P2 isn't my favorite either.
I did switch up my phases a little to accommodate a previous commitment of a family restaurant dinner on Saturday. I made my days look like this to get into P3 for this event: P1,P1,P2,P2,P3,P3,P1,P2. On Saturday, I'll do P3. Sunday, I'll go back to the designated rotations.
I feel so much better than I have in a long time. I swear I feel like I am making meal after snack after meal, but I don't mind really. It is nice to eat again.
I did finally hop on the scale. It was bad, but not horrific. I am shocked though at how tight my (once roomy) clothes are fitting . I went out and got a good pair of leggings and some styling boots to help me move through this part gracefully.
It is freezing here, too.

Julie, congrats on your 6lb loss! I hope your mom is getting better.

Morning All!

Weighed in today and I'm down another 3 pounds. I was secretly hoping for 6 more, but I'll take it.

It's been flooding here since yesterday, so no walk for me today. Maybe I'll do a workout video later.

Menu today:
B: carrots, hummus, oatmeal, blueberries
S: raw walnuts, carrots
L: cherries, coconut milk, chicken thighs, sweet potato
S:cashew butter, celery
D: coconut milk, chicken thighs, sweet potato

Checking in, on target yesterway was 15 net carbs, 1550 calories, 20 minute jog.......did not weigh today because TOM arrived this morning right on schedule. Hoping to weigh in maybe monday morning. Today starts day 1 of week 2 of induction for me....... thats exciting. Possibly on friday after the full two weeks I may allow myself a TBLSP of nut butter. I'm following SugarFreeSheila's website and she allowed that until reaching goal. Anyway, have a great day everyone.

at the writing . Good for you working out the schedule! And thanks! I like the idea of the leggings and boots, I'm doing a new pair of skinny (read that super stretchy) jeans to transition and my new tops are more concealing .

yay! Good job!! I wish it came off as quickly as it seems to pile on. I'm realizing and accepting that what's left to lose is real fat, not just water or bulk... . Oh well, it's gotta go, so we need to stick to it!

Great job! SFS is a great source, inspirational.

I'm doing well. Did a higher carb day yesterday and feel good this morning. Going to do LC today and try to reign in my calories if I can. It's a slippery slope with metabolism to drop calories too far, it undoes any good you've done recharging your metabolism to drop calories too far. Like a catch 22. Hopefully the rotations plus the exercise will help right-size me. I don't need to lose quickly, I'll be happy with 1-2 a week. We'll see

Happy weekend all! We're gone all day tomorrow in Tucson for dd(13)'s volleyball tournament. It's 2.5 hours from home . Hope it's a good day!

Yay Beach! Good job on your 3 lb loss! Woop!

Guys I'm having SUCH intense chocolate cravings. T-minus 5 days until TOM so that is the problem. Don't worry, I will NOT give in. It's just intense. Can't wait for TOM to come and go and leave me alone!

You all are doing so well. Great job!

I haven't weighed in a while , but I put some silk pajama pants on tonight. I couldn't find my comfy sweats and decided to give them a try. They have always felt tight, so I don't wear them often. But tonight they were roomy!

It was a particularly hard DD today... I had 2 UD's in a row and was bitter about not being able to eat whatever I wanted. . TOM has also come to visit bringing a bunch of cravings along.
Going to bed early ... Dreaming of breakfast!

Best feeling ever Low, right?

Anyway, Day 15 finished for JM. Those are some TOUGH workouts. Added in some extra cardio at the end. Still afraid of the scale. If I see a bad number I will stop working out so maybe one more week. Happy weekend! Off to clean my house with music blasting and some dancing involved (home alone)

I personally buy a little of the fresh ground almond butter at a time (bulk I guess) but then it's always fresh...I buy it maybe twice a month and I only buy a few ounces at a time.

I heated up the almond milk, cocoa, and added the stevia...then stirred in the almond butter...It wasn't anything fancy, but it helped with chocolate and peanut better cravings
I'm sure someone with more creativity could do better

Morning All!

Got up early today and to Whole Foods. I ended up buying cashew butter, Beach! It sounds yummy. I will mix it with the cocoa powder and stevia later and have it for my afternoon snack. Can't wait!

Speaking of Whole Foods, I bought raspberries, cucumbers, zucchini, cashew butter, and raw walnuts....and it cost 62 bucks! WTH? Why is that store so ridiculous??? ARG!
