WTG shy, 10 already. You are off to a flying start.

Lola, the one thing I do know about gardening is how to tell a weed from a precious plant. Pull gently on it, if it comes out easily, it was a precious plant!

Still not seeing the 126 number, but as I enjoy JUDDD so much and I am within my maintenance range I shall simply plod on.

Shy fantastic

Kissa: You know that you will get there again...and as you always say its not a race which is a very good quote.

Jan: I know its disheartening...and last week I went up on the scales after an UD...but just gotta keep digging in and go with the bounces I guess. Hope that you enjoyed the cinema.

We have had a garden company here today trying to reclaim our garden. They'll be back tomorrow too, and we have a small garden, believe me.

Had a good morning at the gym, Body Combat which I love.

Just had a boiled egg and will continue that trend and maybe some broth later.

Morning my lovelies,

Hope that you are doing OK....My UD went well yesterday and I managed to hit 1800 cals which I sometimes struggle with. Either don't eat enough or have a party and go way over!!

So down day today. Nice sweetheart cabbage cooked in a little coconut oil with lardons of bacon.

Off to body pump now but its quite foggy - hopefully will lift soon.

I love sweetheart cabbage. Leaves all others standing.

Sunshine here and we are driving over the moor to have lunch with BIL and family. And it is an up day, so all is right with the world.

We had some that I bought last week at the farmers market. I boiled it briefly, then tossed in olive oil & pancetta.

If you’re eating local and seasonal in England, you’re going to eat a lot of cabbage . We do buy some other stuff too, but there’s a lot of cabbage around at the moment!

I’ll have to try your cream & cheese idea!. I came across a sprouts & cream recipe the other day that I must try! My husband loves vegetables, but gets very bored if they’re always just boiled.

Good morning all. I'm hoping to get a lot of work done in the garden today so that and walking the dogs will probably be my exercise for the day.
Yum. I love cabbage. Fried mostly but shredded and used instead of pasta is yummy too.

Savoy cabbage was a childhood Winter staple. For a lot of the time, my parents were vegetarian but the years that they weren't, we had boiled bacon ribs, boiled potatoes and cabbage (the cabbage was sometimes cooked in the rib stock but more often the stock was made into Pea Wack - a yellow split pea soup).

We always had pickled red cabbage with lamb stews.

We had chopped sprouts with lardons of bacon cooked in the WOK for our Christmas lunch. Alongside the turkey of course lol

I also used to chop sprouts and fry in the WOK with lardons of bacon garlic and little cream and use as a pasta sauce...in the days that I ate pasta lol.

Thank you tho shy...sounds nice with cream and cheese...yum...

Morning all!

Sorry for being MIA, was sick with a weird virus for the last few days.
Feeling better now, though!

All that talk of cabbage has made me hungry!

I love Savoy cabbage or kale chopped up and then fried until browned in butter... Add a little garlic, a little sauteed onion and bacon and I'm in winter food heaven!

For people who haven't seen it, there's a thread about a Pasta Dough recipe that looks as if it makes remarkably good low carb pasta. I intend to try out the dough this week (I'm going to use a standard roller and a manual method as the KA press that they enthuse about is £175-£200 in the UK).

Just adding:

I got my allergy test back... Well, there is stuff to add to what I have already, but it does explain a lot!

I'm allergic to wheat, barley, oats, rye, corn, sorghum, aspirin, ibuprofen, diclofenac, MSG, benzoate and soy. I always paid attention to what I ate and most of it I don't eat/ingest anyway. But I forgot to check my soaps, creams, etc for any of these ingredients or derivatives from there.... It sure does explain why my eczema/psoriasis and runny nose isn't getting better, even though I'm eating a ketogenic diet!

Well, there go a lot of my beauty products too! I'd already switched to mostly natural, but of course there's oat derivatives, soy derivatives etc in there... Darn! I guess I'll just use coconut oil and hope for the best, LOL!

Sneaks in, hopes no one notices ....

Hi everyone - wow what a busy January! And there's still a week left!

Just read nearly 6 pages, & didn't take notes!

Well done on weight loss Ailuros & Shy

Welcome Heather & Maxine

Lola, had to laugh at 23 degrees, we're hitting 27-28 most days and we're all wearing warm clothes! 23 = jumper weather here!

Slowsure, we're in the middle of moving too! Hopefully the last time for a while!

Mimosa (or shall I call you Chloe?) the ups seem to be winning - kep up the great work.

Juno, you make me laugh, as always!

Mum, hope you're feeling perkier! (iPad tried to change that to Perrier!). We'll be home in 2 months & 5 days!

So, what am I up to - had a day's training earlier this month - so spent forever prepping, then started packing to move! Haven't had a car all week - unfortunately that garage trip came in at around £600, so not happy - but at least we caught the problem before it was major - just thought there was a wire/electric problem with the a/c, turns out it was the thermostat and a whole bunch if other stuff! & new tyres!

I just wasn't getting back into my rotations - so 4 days ago, picked up Paul McKenna's Hypnotic Gastric Band & his I Can Make You Thin & started back on that program. 4 days in, 7lbs gone - water weight maybe, but who cares! I was successful on this before & am thinking when I get back to JUDDD I can incorporate this if needed. If I feel the need o change!

Hi Vicky!!!!!
Sounds like you are very busy! And well done on the 7lbs!!!!!! Sounds like you have found what works for you!

Shy: I somehow forgot to congratulate you on your 10lbs lost! Well done!!!

I am reading Keto Adapted by Maria Emmerich, which is really great. I'm recognising my own problems in so many issues she's describing. I know I'm on the right way with my WOE, it really is starting to work for me!

So yesterday I officially joined a proper gym again, The yoga turned out to not be what I wanted it to be, and I'm certainly not motivated to go again. Thankfully I didn't pay for a whole course, and only had two trial sessions... I really was hoping it would be something that I would benefit from, but the second session was everything the first wasn't and I felt completely wrong in the group. So that's off the cards now.
The gym I joined has a back fitness class twice a week, lots of Les Mills classes, a physiotherapist on site who will spend time with you for free, trainers for free, a free monthly one hour personal training session to change your set programme, all classes are free, free sauna, free drinks, and a really positive, friendly atmosphere. I have a friend who goes there, so I can get her to drag me along when I start coming up with excuses not to go. I've got my fitness evaluation/first programme setup with the personal trainer on Sunday, so I'm all It's not cheap, so I'm going to have to go regularly to really make it worth my while...

For the rest, nothing much, my lame colleagues are sitting in their office watching youtube, making noise and generally pretending to do stuff when I know they don't have much to do. So who's clearing out the office of another former colleague because it needs painting? You've guessed right: ME. And I have to sort out my own office and do my work on the side too... I'm: But this is the way things are at the moment'; we've got a great team for the rest, just these two lazy uncooperative people. And one is the other's assistant, so she is always being protected and excused by the salesperson who's her boss. He's old enough to be her father, so the whole thing is kinda creepy and unprofessional, the way they talk to eachother and behave towards one another. No affair in the physical sense, just creepy...

Anyway, better get on, lots to do still and nobody is going to do it otherwise!

Vicky! Nice to see you! You have to do whatever you can manage. I remember when you & Kissa were doing the McKenna stuff. You seemed to do quite well with it when you followed it — like all these plans . Anyway, you’re off to a good start there!

Funny, soy is the one that I never eat anyway, apart from an occasional splash of soy sauce.

I never eat soy, I'm not menopausal or near it, so I don't touch soy with a bargepole. It's poison in my opinion. I only eat tamari sauce if I eat anything like it, but that is fermented and wheat free, so I should be good for that once a year thing. Or I skip it altogether. Sashimi is good without the soy sauce too, LOL!

I'm really into my keto diet, and loving it. And the scale is moving, finally! I lost 2.5lbs in a week, I think the biggest proper fatloss I've had in ages! So a total of 8.5lbs now that is staying off since the new year. Not bad at all! And I thought I was going to lose slower! Looking at the bigger picture really helps sometimes!

So, anyone got plans for the weekend? Me, no big ones. Saturday is trainer shoe shopping, got to get some new ones as the old ones are really falling apart. Sunday I have my health and fitness evaluation at my new gym, so that should be interesting... LOL!

My menu today:
B and L: BPC
D: Leftovers or something with lots of eggs, haven't made up my mind yet.

Have a fab weekend everyone!

Mimosa. Great one for joining the gym. Sorry yoga class didn't work out. I am sure you will find some classes to enjoy. Sounds like there is a lot of variety. I treat my gym sessions like an appointment. I have to go to the appointment lol. If I get a day that I don"t really want to go I use the appointment thought and when I'm there I'm fine with it. Great you got a buddy too

UD today and not woken up so starving so that's good. DD home this weekend for DH birthday celebs so will probably keep today a MD in preparation for meals out tomo.

Have a good one everyone
