Thanks for your concern Ailuros and Shy!

The yoga teacher is my physiotherapist, so she knows all about my problems! She suggested I'd try it out to see if I liked the class. At the moment there's not a permanent space available, they only take 8 people at a time, so this is just to see how I like it and to join for the February course...

Good morning everyone. I hope everyone is well.
You all seem to have done miracles with your weight. Wow! Congratulations all of you. I still have 4st to go! I stepped on the scales this morning and I have lost 2lbs since Monday so that is a good start but I am having one of those days where it just feels as if 4st is just so much!!! Still, onward and downward.
Lola: I mentioned to Amber Baby that I was from MK as she is too and she was surprised but now it looks as if we are invading!
I am doing a sort of Paleo with my own twist.
Shy: Happy to join the Meno club. Those flushes are my constant companion these days. I must look like a traffic light sometimes!
Cindy: Which part of Devon are you going to? Many of my ancestors were from Devon and Cornwall. I have only been there a couple of times but it was beautiful. Have a lovely break.
Chloe: Thanks for pointing me this way. Everyone is lovely.
To everyone else: Sorry I am not naming you all individually. I am not being intentionally rude. I am just rushing around and typing bits as I rush past my laptop.
Have a wonderful day everyone. I am so pleased to have found you all.

Heather, well done on the weightloss!!!! You are definitely not rude, and there is no rule here about writing personals. If you feel you want to say something to someone specific, you include them in your post, if not, you don't. Nobody will find you rude!

What a small world, so there's quite a few of you from MK! If you'd look at it statistically, you'd say that MK is the most aware of LC/Paleo at the moment, LOL!

Have decided to join a gym again properly. I need to get regular exercise and have some social control as well. I don't seem to be able to motivate just myself to do something by myself regularly, so I guess I'm going to have to be motivated by others who won't take no for an answer. Made some enquiries and there is a pretty nice gym a couple of minutes from my house. They even have a special classes for 'back fitness', just what I need!

I need to increase my exercise too. I’ve been doing some yoga (at home), which is good, but I want to build up my strength too, so I need to dig my weights out again.

Aitch when I started losing I just ok I will lose a stone. The thought of losing 8 was too much but a stone seemed doable, u will get there. Don't worry about personals I can't type for long so rarely do them (u are honoured hahah)

Hi Maxine nice to meet u, come join our merry band lol

Hello everyone!

Aitch, welcome!! So nice to have new people join our group - had to laugh at Kissa's comment about advice whether asked-for or not :-)

Hello Maxine, too!

Ailuros - OMG, that's fabulous, congratulations!

Shy, absolutely the same. Electro acupuncture sounds interesting. And I was reading something the other day about painkillers - codeine, for example, not actually working for a certain percentage of the population. I am sure the time is not too far away when we look back on today's pain relief (untailored to our individual needs) as Dark Ages.

Mimosa, ooh do let us know about the Kundalini class! I tried one once but kept giggling. Sorry about the back pain; nasty! The gym should help - enjoy it.

Lola, hi!! Interesting, isn't it, that you feel you have to have a bit of fruit in order to deflect questions?

Jan, isn't there quite a bit of fibre in leafy greens? I always thought so! Or how about some flax seeds?

Kissa, darling, long may you not have to make a decision between Devon and London!!

Hello everyone else, and apologies for lack of personals.

So, I had a friend staying for a few days, another of those friendships where we'd known each other online for years and *knew* we'd get on! I love the internet :-) However between that and a premiere and going to a birthday party (carbs everywhere, so just gave up and enjoyed myself, as I was starving) and going to a concert, haven't had much time to read/post here... Performance yesterday evening was hilarious. In the second act, I am wheeled on by a colleague, legs up in the air and clutching a bottle of chanpagne. He's meant to go round the block a bit then stop, angling me so I can see the conductor and sing the first phrase. He got a bit overexcited and tipped me right out nose-down on to the stage!! Could hardly sing for laughing :-) Been having good breakfasts, though - my friend does low-carb too!

Getting cold here. Hope you're all well!

Hello Maxine. Good to have you join us.

Scale still not budging here, but will keep trying……I am going to get back into more exercise too - that's been lacking. Like Ailuros, I need to add some work with weights to the cardio…..got to be a dab hand with those baby car seats in March

Juno, you tell the best stories And yes, the reminder about leafy greens and flax seeds is welcome. Thanks

Hope everyone's week is going well.

LOL! This is what I worry about too.... I think it's pretty out there as far as yoga goes....

Not much to say, am feeling creatively inspired, so I'm actually producing tons of work! Hence the short hello today!

Hope all is well for everyone!

Here's my menu:

B and L: BPC
D: rotisserie chicken, avocado, purslane, mayo with a cup of homemade bone broth.

xxx Chloe.

Good morning all. The sun is shining and the birds are singing so I'm going to go and annoy nature with the dogs. I was really surprised to see some daisies, primroses and snowdrops the other day. The weather is so mild. There is stuff budding all over my garden.
What is Kundalini? I'd google it but it sounds a bit rude!
Have a lovely day everyone.

I am planning a pretty good venison steak and salad myself, and it is a DD, lol.

I have been pretty down today. No good reason, just am. I'll be my usual happy self tomorrow I imagine.

Weird about the early spring, so bad for things when the late frosts hit.

Ok, have calmed down, after losing my post, LOL!

First of all: the yoga class was special, but I think I realised I'm secretly one of those people who are pretty out there and airy fairy, so I enjoyed it for what it was, surprisingly. I didn't even giggle!
By the way, Kundalini yoga is just another kind of yoga, and has a lot of meditation and breathing and some chanting. I found the meditating and breathing really good, the chanting I think is something that could grow on me. Afterwards I felt nice and calm and really balanced. I also got a good workout with all the stretching and balancing! I will definitely join a class once an opening comes available. Maybe in my stressful day it is something I need to unwind and become less highly strung!

This weekend is all in the theme of Dutch godparents: I'm visiting Holland first with my godson to give him his birthday present on Saturday, and on Sunday it's my turn and I'm having lunch in Amsterdam with my godfather! BF is staying home with the dog, so he'll have time for himself for a change, LOL!

I'm feeling really good at the moment: my back is ok, I'm even having periods of time where I'm free from pain!

On the dieting front everything seems to have finally fallen into place: I found what works for me! Feeling good, energetic and stable. Let's see if this also brings on the so longed for weightloss!

Kissa: your menu looks like it was delicious yesterday, was it?

Ailuros: thanks, hope your weekend will be lovely!

Shy: ooo, a diet group! Hope you have fun and that you shock them all with your diet and your great results!

Everyone else: see you Monday, have a nice weekend!

I miss Mint, Junk, Blotto and Maryam to name just a few... Hope they are doing well!

My menu today:

B and L: BPC
D: 4 egg omelette, cooked in 1/2 TB kerrygold butter, 3 oz mixed cheeses, 2 oz crispy bacon, 1/2 medium avocado, 1/2 cup cultured saurkraut and a cup of homemade bone broth with 1/2 TB kerrygold butter.

xxx Chloe.

Mimosa do you use the MCT Oil in your BPC? Thank you Have a lovely Dutch weekend and am glad that the back pain is eased.

Yep get back into a fitness regime and you will feel a whole load better I can vouch.

Diet group sounds interesting Shy...let us know what they said or didn't say about Atkins lol.

Hope you feel brighter today Kissa.

No, I like the flavour the coconut oil gives my coffee. I do use single source organic cofee beans, I get them here at a local cofee shop, and I grind them myself, and use a french press. I only recently started doing all that, and it has made a HUGE difference. Not only in how good the coffee tastes, but I noticed this morning that I don't even have a little bit of hunger. Nothing at all.

I will have a second BPC (I add 1TB Kerrygold and 1TB EVCO to about 300 ml fresh coffee) at some point in the next couple of hours. Then I'm good to go till about 7pm.

OK great...I seem to be able to locate coconut oil easier anyway. I have a nespresso machine so will use that coffee and give it a try.

Thank you for personals everyone

This is yet another fly-by as I'm hoping to be back to Herts slightly early this afternoon to carry on with more packing for London.

I add MCT oil to my coffee - but that's because I'm following a protocol that has been very successful at reducing my migraines and I need the extra ketone bodies that I can obtain from MCT. (I could get them by adding more CO but I can't take that number of kcals as it gobbles up too large an amount of my daily/weekly allowance, especially on a DD). MCT oil is horrendously expensive in the UK so I wouldn't do it if it were not for the trade-off.
