Thank you all so much. It is a relief for everyone, although of course sad.

I have had a busy day and it is turning into a second DD. I seldom do that but yesterday was a highish DD and I have only had a soya flat white so far today. Chicken and ratatouille this evening.

Hi everyone,

I just read that another storm is brewing and the UK will get wet and windy again! Sending good thoughts to you all!

I'm flying to the UK on Sunday evening, have a four day meeting at our headquarters. Would love to have made plans to meet some of you, but I'm stuck in the programme and so not much free time! As I always say, maybe next time?

My menu today:

B: nothing
L: buffalo mozzarella, basil, sundried tomatoes, avocado, olive oil
D: ground beef, cooked in butter of course, with something or other. I know, very exciting, LOL!

Kissa well at least you visited it briefly...you know that you can get back there you always do.

I now need to keep today reasonably low as going out tomorrow night so had I realised I should have had a MD yesterday and a DD today but hey no planning was given...so need to keep today MD.

Winter Olympics start this pm YAY...looks exciting..the snowboarders are awesome.

Hope that you are all staying dry and not flooded out in any way. Finanally someone is saying "how at about a relief appeal for those people affected". Yeah we always do it for everyone else so how about for closer to home. Its a YES from me.

Hairdressers and food shopping blah blah. Also meeting an Argentinian friend who has a friend over from Argentina and the friend is a Master Reiki Healer...so interesting coffee me thinks..

Oh and PS...I.ve been really good with the weighing and not weighing until next week. I'm usually a 10 times a day person - every time I go to the loo lol

I was like that with weighing when I first did LC, Lola, but until we get our heating fixed, itís too cold . I still weigh myself every morning (and usually at night too, so I know what to expect the next morning ).

This morning was 114.2, so I definitely need to be winding it down! Iím doing 5:2 for at least Feb, and maybe March too. If itís still going down, Iíll go to 6:1. After that the visitors start showing up and I donít think losing too much weight will be a problem then .

When I was in my early 20s and gained from 107 to 112, I started getting lectures from family & friends about needing to watch my weight .

yes yet more storms, i am out in the sticks and many of the fields are flooding onto the roads but we consider ourselves lucky when i see whats happening in some parts.

i only ever weighed once a week, u can get too obsessed with all this weighing u know

I don’t totally know what my goal is, but this is certainly well in the ok range. I’m moving on to 5:2 now. If I keep going down at that, I’ll go to 6:1, otherwise I’ll stay at 5:2. I’m not trying to lose any more, but I won’t be worried about a couple of pounds while I make the adjustments.

i do get the obsessivenes with weighing but it affects the mood SO much when its not what u want to see, thats why i stopped weighing

I think I just reached a point where I felt up to dealing with it. Earlier than that, I could restrict carbs or calories and lose weight, but it made me feel even worse, so I decided that putting up with a few extra pounds was the lesser evil. Maybe I’m past the worst of the menopause stuff!

Juno, did you get the video done?

For the areas in the UK that are flooded, itís awful, but a lot of areas arenít affected at all. It just depends on the local geography.

I posted this in another thread, but in case anyone who didnít see it is interested, since numbers only convey so much information, this is from when I was shopping for new trousers a week or so ago.

We have lots of flooded fields and some roads but nothing like some are suffering, Where's all the worlds aid when we need it for a change?

Didn't lose this week but not surprised after meal I had a ds college. Didn't gain either so see that as good

Well onto week 4 and only lost a kilo which is a little disappointing..however, I probably only want to lose 7/10 lbs max and know that the last stone is the hardest.

However, some people just seem to get to target no problems....its a struggle when you only losing a little every month...

Didn't make to gym today had two crap nights sleep and couldn't get myself out of bed...so had a duvet morning. lol. Feeling quite exhausted of late so need to get back onto speed.

Mimosa...you will love the camera I know that DH did...though unfortunately ipad taken over now.

Sending Shy - hope you start going down down down the scale again.

Lola, I was only losing about 3 lb per month for the last stretch. The problem with smallish numbers like that is that they can easily be hidden behind normal water fluctuations. Hope you get a whoosh soon! Every time I went into one of those spells where the numbers just go up and down by the same pound or two for three weeks, my husband would have to listen to the same saga about how I was never going to lose any weight ever again.
