AND to add exciting news my scale read 178.4 this morning....whatever groove ive found I hope it sticks around!!!
When I left i brought SO much food cause I was worried. I did bring a bunch of quest bars and always kept atleast 1 in my purse. I counted 1oz portions of almonds out and brought a canister of vanilla bean almonds for if i had a sweet craving. Also a few pkgs of jerky, bag of pork rinds, SF jello (to make like tea), and bought some diet snapple. Mostly when we went out I had a lot of shrimp with veggies, mexican IO had shrimp with veggies, at bumba gump shrimp i had shrimp/sausage shiskabobs. you can get broccoli as a side at almost any sit down restaurant. i had jerk spiced wings and a Cesar salad at one restaurant, almost no carbs.

and when your driving mcdonalds always has something you can eat. Burgers with no buns, chicken salads etc. Subway also has salads you can get any meat/sub put over your lettuce/spinach. double chicken salad is only $7

No, I really want to see 120

I have thought about starting weight training now; I have done serious weight training/bodybuilding in the past, with great success. But I tend to spend a LOT of time at the gym when I am weight training, and right now I am in too many classes/volunteer commitments. I was planning to start when classes get out in June. I know I should start sooner but I just have too much on my calendar right now.

Also, since (as of today) I am only just barely in a "normal" BMI category (by a whopping .08 pounds), I am not ready to do anything that might cause me to venture back into "overweight" BMI territory, even if it's just because I am building muscle mass. So I will wait until I am in the middle of my healthy range before I start muscle building.

Hi all, great reading catching up on this thread, everyone is doing so well.

ValR - thanks for sharing those pictures, I also think you look good in the first picture but awesome awesome job getting into that better shape and health!

Mayleesa - way to go girl! No fat summer here!

Nikki - adjusting your plan sounds great, you're totally heading the right way!

CK - great job on not straying too far even during vacation!

Belated Tuesday weigh-in for me coming here:
Last Tues: 66.8 kg (147.3)
This Tues: 65.5 kg (144.4)
I was shocked as we'd had sooooo much food in London this weekend but all of it was technically on plan so I guess it was alright in the end. Taking it easy on the food this week though and making sure I get even more water in there (easy to do as the weather is so nice!)
My friend's wedding is this weekend and I will nicely fit into the dress I wanted to wear. Such a victory. Now baby steps towards the ultimate goal. =)

I have been off-plan (nothing too bad, but not sticking to my plan, either) most of the week. I'm back on plan today so I will weigh in tomorrow and hopefully will have some not-too-scary results. Ugh!

I noticed the past few days my shirts are a little big and starting to look sloppy. I might be able to wear a medium in some brands. The only problem is I love the clothes I have. They were new last year and I can't afford to replace them. I wasn't happy when my close were too small and now I'm cranky because they are too big.

I've been having great results with an exercise DVD called Slim in 6. It has really done a lot to tone my floppy skin and I've lost a lot of inches. I should've measured myself before I started but fear of failing kept me from doing it. I'm curious to know what I lost and will never know.

Grats on the smaller size, Val and I hear you on mourning those nice clothes that are too big! I did a clean out of the closet this weekend and two of my old favourite summer dresses had to go, they were just ridiculous. Sad and good all at the same time.
I'm still holding onto one sweater that I bought last year and love even though I was drowning in it

Well we survived Easter! And like Mayleesa says, it's almost May, how crazy is that?

I also survived my friend's wedding and in spite of all the champagne, wine, large amounts of food (while on plan just too much of it), cake frosting (I didn't eat the actual cake due to gluten) and overdose on marshmallows, I'm still seeing a loss this week. Couldn't believe it! Happy dance.

Last Tues: 65.5 kg (144.4)
This Tues: 64.9 kg (143.1)

I have been packing most of my bigger clothes away in totes. its amazing how fit changes with even 10lb for me. Do you ever go to resale shops? there is a platos closet store out by me that always has a lot of nice jeans for less than $30 for name brand stuff. Shirts and jackets are hit and miss but sometimes you find something cute for cheap

so I've been having right middle back pain since Monday, everyone swears up and down oh the diet your on it HAS to be a kidney stone, which sounds right, luckily I work in a hospital with surgeons. he takes a look at me and sends me for a CT scan for kidney....WELLLLLLLL turns out this excrutiating pain is a ruptured ovarian cyst and the scan showed that all of my internal organs in my abdomen are in the wrong places....my liver is horizontal and my gallbladder is hanging next to my belly button....35 years on this earth and I'm wonky!! who knew....

I'm still in! Eating healthy foods, small portions and exercising daily is getting me bikini ready.

I wouldn't mind if we keep this thread going when we hit summer. I have a tendency to quit my good habits when I reach a goal and need accountability to maintain my hard work.

I'm still here!

What works for me:
Always have a lc snack option ready, and portioned if possible. protein bars for the busy morning or no time for lunch.
Plan 2 to 4 meal options with leftovers for the week. Grocery list full of lc foods. Heavy cream for my coffee.
Get that booty moving. Walk a little extra at work, shake that thing while your waiting for the microwave etc.
Track food guestimations in excel spreadsheet. I color code my days (each tab) by how i did, green yellow or red. If im swinging in the red direction its an extra push to reign myself in.
Keep those cute clothes out in the open!

Get ready for those sweaty summer days! We are going to feel so much better without the extra weight insulating us.

I'm still in!

I was staying away because I had hit a wall and I was feeling discouraged. The reason I had hit a wall is because my will power faltered and I found myself binging on my favorite low-carb food: cheese. So I stayed the same weight for two-three weeks.

Today I have broken through another plateau and I weighed in at 133.4. I lost FOUR POUNDS overnight! It will probably go up tomorrow, but not back to what it was.

YAY!!! I always feel like I can not come to report back when I haven't lost or have gained or stuck......I'm glad you came back, it's not only about losing and reporting good news, its about support and encouragement and sharing what works for us all....I have to remind myself of that daily!!! I have a whole support system when that new sweet chilli chicken pizza from papa johns is calling....everytime I feel awful and DESPERATELY need comfort food as I have alllll last week, I log on here first for inspiration....thanks!!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!!!! glad for your loss

Nikki- Awesome job on not giving up. It's easy to give up or sabotage ourselves when things don't go our way.

No matter how many setbacks we have let's keep our eye on the prize. Feeling better about ourselves this summer will be worth it.

I'm going to get a new swimming suit this weekend and hope to find a decent fitting bikini. When I embarked on this challenge my goal was to be comfortable with my appearance so I could participate in summer activities instead of avoiding them. I've missed out on summer fun for five years but now I'm ready for summer and won't have to deal with self-loathing. My body is far from perfect but I can accept it and be confident again.

I couldn't have gotten this far without this thread. Thank you so much!

Congrats on your loss, Mayleesa. We've had to work hard for our losses and it makes us appreciate our accomplishments more than if it was given to us.

I had to buy new pants for work and they are 7/8. I haven't been this size for 15 years!!! I've been doing a work out called Slim in 6 which I hate it but the results are amazing. I have totally reshaped my body and lost tons of inches. I'm continuing to do videos that use weights and as I increase the weight resistance it makes me look smaller. I'm a firm believer that the combination of diet and exercise is the key for me being successful. I look forward to my early morning workouts now instead of dreading them.

Have a happy Monday.
