Happy April Fool's Day Everyone!
I lost 5 lbs for the month of March. I must remember that that loss is way better than where I was this time last year. I've decided that for the month of April, I will not eat any type of frankenfood.

I'm still here too! So glad to see the die-hards not giving up.

Here's my progress so far:

My goal for April is to lose 6-7 pounds. Stick with it, chicks!

im still here.....missing my goals but still working on it!!!!! on a very happy note, I have found unsweetened almond milk!!! its 1carb per cup but also 1fiber per cup and only 30 calories....I LOVE IT!!!!! I'm hoping it doesn't stall me at all because it's such a treat after dinner with a splash of sugar free flavoring!!

almond milk

Funny I was just trying to think of LC drink good for night time.
Had bad cravings went to store to get some water, ran across pumpkin seeds and stuffed my face with them. When I got back in car from work saw that they're 2 carbs per half cup so I should be good. Though I feel all blogged and full of seeds
:
How long do you ladies go before eating after BP coffee. I know some people use it for breakfast, but it only holds me off for a couple of hours, not till lunch. Does any one do intermittent fasting? I hear it's trickier for women. I think it would be good for me to learn some discipline, cause I snack. But I do usually go from 7 to 7. Pretty sated by nighttime. Anywho, hi! Good work all you who started earlier.

Mayleesa - I discovered almond milk about a month ago and love it. Sometimes I put PB2 (powdered peanut butter) in it to give it a little more flavor. I was told a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice in it is good but haven't tried it yet. I also get the dark chocolate almond milk and mix it with the unsweetened almond milk. I'm not sure what the carb count would be but it helps with chocolate cravings.

I do IF and I love it. It has completely cut out my need for snacking, I have developed a much more casual relation to food, which is such a relief after all the years of obsessing!

I do the 16:8 variety so I have my eating window between 12pm and 8pm every day.
It took about a week to get used to and that first week I was having that first meal at noon sharp. But now, after 2.5 months, I have no problems waiting until 2pm before eating.
I do drink coffee in the morning (two cups, with heavy cream but not proper BPC) but since it's just a dash of heavy cream, I count it as okay and still fasting.

And I just have to stress again how awesome it is that we're all still here. It's 3 months for me, longer for some of you! How strong is that? Awesome ladies.

I was doing some calculations this morning and I reckon I've got about another 3 months to hit the goal weight. It feels like a lot but hey, it's what I've already done so just a matter of hanging in there!!

Scale is up. That's fine. Going to zoo today and it s all walking and hills. I've been reading old post and think I will try on a pair of tight paint once a week, till they're not tight! I need to put scale away and get to exercising. I don't let the scale numbers defeat me but I g e t a little obsessed.
I couldn't IF if it meant no coffee when I get up! Well got alot of packing to do for zoo trip, including umbrellas.

I have my coffee before 7 AM and then I usually can go without eating until 2 or 3 PM, though sometimes I get hungry around 1:00 and I am not strict about it. If I am really hungry (and not just craving something) then I eat, regardless of the time.

Had a mini stall this week but I think I have broken through it.

Quick Tuesday weigh-in. Definitely going slow but still in the right direction and that's what counts, right?
Last Tues: 67.1 kg (148)
This Tues: 66.8 kg (147.3)

Stay strong everyone!

I've gotten lazy with my eating and exercise this past week and need to get my act together. My motivation is waning and I need to get it back. I've gotten back into my goal jeans and now I'm letting things slide because I'm happy. The problem is the goal jeans won't fit if I don't work at this.

I have been doing the same thing. Now that I am in the home stretch, I am looking decent in most of my clothes, I feel great, etc., I have started letting little cheats in, and my weight loss has stalled.

I have had some success getting back on track these past two days. I (mostly) stuck to my DownDay plan yesterday. It was sooo hard because I was ravenously hungry. I did allow myself a small cheat but it was hardly a cheat since it was 3/4 cup cauliflower with 1/4 cup homemade low-carb masala sauce. About 100 calories more than my plan. Still I ended up with too many carbs and my blood ketone monitor says I am out of ketosis again. The reading was .9 (goal is 1.3 - 3.0). So, no cheats for me today, not even cauliflower cheats! lol

Today's weigh in was 137.8. Slow and steady wins the race...

vacation report in

So i did really well on vacation. My mom got over my diet rather quickly and stopped trying to make me cheat since im on vacation. I gave her my protein power book to read. Hopefully that will help. Only cheated twice with some birthday cake and a margarita on the last night. Cant weigh yet since im still on the road for training bu clothes are still fitting good. Goal pants are getting big in the waist, still right on the legs and bum. Now i am struggling a bit staying on plan during training since food is all paid for. Blew nit last night since i let myself get hungry. 1 hour wait for table so i was done for when the rolls arrived. 1 roll, 1 sangria, 1 sweet potato. Paying for it today but atleast they have a gym. Starting again this morning.

4/8: 138.2

Soooo aggravating! I am going to change it up again. Instead of a fat fast, I plan to eat nothing but protein powder pancakes today, for a total of 60 oz protein, 8g carbs, 8g fat.

A fat fast would work to break the stall but I just had one last week. Plus, a fat fast can cause me to be unable to donate plasma. My body makes fewer red blood cells when I am not eating protein for a few days. Not to mention a fatty diet can clog up the plasma machine.

So it's moderate protein, ultra-low-carb, ultra-low-fat today. But some of the carbs/fat today will come from my coffee with HWC, because I can't live without it.

Protein powder pancake:
One scoop protein powder of your choice (low-carb vanilla is best)
3 tbsp egg whites
2 oz water
.5 tsp baking powder

Mix ingredients and cook like an ordinary pancake, using cooking spray.
Serve with Walden Farms calorie free pancake syrup

102 calories 20g protein, 1g fat, 2g net carbs

you've come a long way!

weighed in this morning at 125.2 so i didn't do too much damage in the past few days. I had desert one night at one of our dinners which ended up being 2 deserts when it came out couldnt even finish it.

2-3 days on vlc should pull me back down the pound i was likely at before the binge. excited for it to get short weather here shortly at home 70 yesterday but rain today.

Wow, congratulations! You are doing sooo well. Keep it up, girlfriend!

April goal: 133

3/31: 139.0
4/5: 138.2
4/6: 138.4
4/7: 139.4
4/8: 138.2
4/9: 137.8
4/10 138.2
4/11: 137.4
4/12: 137.0

It's working! I switched to high-protein-only (no fat or carbs) for a few days, just to change it up, and it worked! I plan to go on another fat fast and then back to JUDDD when I stall again. probably in a week or so. When I get close to goal I always have a really hard time losing the last 10-15 pounds so I expect to have to constantly change my methods to keep my metabolism guessing.

Today is the day I post a current picture and one from a year ago. I've lost 30 pounds and it wasn't easy but it was worth it. Now that I'm back into my goal jeans and working at getting toned and healthier I don't plan to ever let things get out of control again. I've been pregnant four times and was never overweight. Two years of being overweight was enough for me and I don't ever want to get that big again.

I only have one picture of me at my heaviest since I avoided cameras. After I saw the picture I refused to do retakes so please ignore my stupid expression. My starting weight was 180. Today's weight is 149 which is normal for me.

How tall are you? You looked amazing even at 180, and so much more amazing at 149! When I was 180 I was enormous, but then I am only 5'2".

Thanks for the compliments, Nikki. I'm 5'6". I carry all my weight in my hips. I wish it was on my chest instead.

I decided to adjust my goal five pounds upwards. My weight loss has slowed down sooo much and at this rate it could take several more months to get to 115. To stay motivated, I need to reach my goal sooner so that I can feel I have accomplished what I set out to do and move on to the next phase of my plan.

So I upped my goal to 120 and I have decided that when I reach 120 I will embark on a NEW plan, possibly around six months to a year, to do body recomposition. So my weight will probably not change much, or else it will slowly inch downwards as I focus in on serious weight training and gaining muscle. At that time I will become much more interested in my body measurements than my weight, and I plan to hopefully start training for my first 5k. I plan to take some before and after photos when I start my new plan, probably in July.

But after 120 my focus will be less on the scale and more on building a sustainable, healthy lifestyle. If I lose five more pounds over a six month period, as I gain muscle and lose fat, then eventually I might reach my original goal. If not, then I will nevertheless be the healthiest and fittest I have ever been and THAT is what matters.

Nikki- Do you currently do any weight training? I've found out that I look smaller when I use weights and resistance training even though the number on my scale is higher than what I like. Have you thought about starting the new exercise problem sooner? I don't think you would regret it.
