Congrats to all! I haven't been on plan the last week and even considering changing up the plan a bit. Maybe add some intermit fasting? Still working on that one. Bought a new pair of sneakers for working out so need to start that routine soon. Have had a lot of issues with my back the last couple of weeks, so a bit nervous to do too much. Thanks for all your inspiration!!

It looks like everyone is still sticking with their summer goals despite the challenges we face periodically.

I really need to clean up my eating if I want to reach my goal. Today is the beginning of tightening up my portion control and making healthy food choices. Weight Watchers helped me lose 25 pounds since May but I struggled to stay within my point range. It's time to try something different if I want to be successful.

I do JUDDD (there are a ton of people here who do). It's a form of IF/calorie cycling which is almost effortless. It's truly like magic how the weight just slips off for many people on JUDDD.

Hope your new sneakers break in quickly and praying your back feels better.

I am definitely sticking to my summer goals. Hope your new commitment to portion control and healthy choices serves you well this week. The goal in this thread is to all step across that finish line together.

My Down Days are simple:
Breakfast:
2 cups of coffee with soy milk & Torani sf vanilla syrup
Morning supplements
GG's Scandinavian Crispbread
Wedge Laughing Cow cheese

Lunch:
Hard Boiled egg
No Salt
Cup of "Better than Bouillon" vegetable flavor, with NoSalt

Potassium supplements
Fiber supplement

Dinner:
1/2 cup Egg beaters omelette with spinach and (you guessed it) NoSalt
SF Jell-o
Fat Free Reddi Whip

That's about 300 calories

UpDays vary more and have a LOT more calories:

Breakfast:
2 cups coffee with real heavy cream
Flaxseed One Minute Muffin
1 tbsp Kerrygold butter
6 oz full-fat homemade Greek yogurt flavored with Crystal Light
sliced apple
Morning supplements

Lunch:
Sandwich:
Best Low Carb Bread Company hamburger bun
HB egg, sliced
NoSalt
Pepper
1 oz Kerrygold cheddar cheese
1/2 c spinach
2 tbsp. Vegenaise

3 c Spinach salad
8 stalks asparagus
sliced avocado
pickle spears

Potassium supplements
Fiber supplement

Snack:
homemade low-carb cookies
1/4 c sunflower seeds

Dinner:
Stir-Fry:
6 oz kelp noodles
1 Gardein Chik'n Scallopini, thawed and diced
1 c broccoli
4 stalks asparagus
.5 tbsp sesame oil
.5 tbsp Kerrygold butter
1 tbsp. soy sauce

Cup of "Better than Bouillon" vegetable flavor, with NoSalt

Dessert:
MediFast brownie

Snack:
2 walnuts, 2 pecans, 2 almonds, 2 hazelnuts, 1 Brazil nut
SF Jell-o with fat free Reddi Whip

Approx 2100 calories

Between the UD and the DD I average 1200 calories a day with the two of them together. But having such a swing between UD's & DD's keeps my body from getting used to the diet or going into starvation mode. Sometimes I have a MD or two DD's is a row to re-schedule my DD's & UD's to match my schedule. For example, I have to bake cookies for a function I m attanding on Thursday, but Thursday was supposed to be a DownDay. So I am having two DD's to get on schedule so I can eat extra cookies this Thursday. (They are low-carb, but not low-calorie.)

I only weigh after a DD. Weighing after an UD is never a good idea.

P.S. I drink lots of water, Crystal Light, diet soda, and caffeine-free herbal tea.

Just had to jump in here and say that THESE NOODLES:

Sea Tangle Noodle Company Kelp Noodles

are ah. may. zing.

I prepared them in a stir-fry with a bit of sesame oil, butter, and soy sauce with asparagus, broccoli, and Gardein vegetarian chick'n scallopini. Wow.
Shirataki noodles have got nothing on these kelp noodles. Yummm!

Thank you Nikki. I have been looking at some of the JUDD threads. I'm just not sure about getting started. Jump right in would probably be best. Thanks for sharing your sample days. This helps a lot. I must say that your losses are impressive.

Good morning everybody,
I'm still pretty under the weather and haven't been able to kick whatever I have. It's most likely an upper respiratory infection and I can't believe I haven't coughed up a lung. I just sent DH out to enjoy some of the sites without me And get some relief from my cranky pants attitude.
I have a phone interview today to transfer to a different school and my voice is half gone. This ought to be very interesting since I sound like Janis Joplin.

Wakey wakey ladies, let's not loose track here, just weight and inches.

Didn't get to post last night so here is yesterday's weigh-in:
Last Tues: 74.5 kg (164.2)
This Tues: 73.3 kg (161.6)

This is probably the lightest I've been in Years and still I am now seriously struggling with feeling Fat.
It's actually quite terrible. I can see and feel that all my clothes sit better and the scales are showing that good number and Still I look in the mirror in the morning before my shower and go, yuck!

Help! What is going on here? Anyone recognize this problem?

Welcome WannaBeThinAgain, it's never too late to start!

Love2Live, hope you are feeling better. Said a prayer for you today.

148.6 this morning. It's weird, my weight loss is like clockwork lately: every three days I get nada, nada, -1 pound. Plus my ketones are better than they have EVER BEEN (2.0) and my glucose is OK (89). Very happy camper this morning!

Busy day, I have classes and appointments all day long and won't be done until 9:30 tonight. But at least it's an UpDay - if I can squeeze in some time for meals. Food, here I come!

I have this problem too, Only in reverse.
I have been thin my whole life and when I stop smoking I gained well over 100 pounds. I still see myself as skinny, 5 foot 10 and 150 pounds, size 9. Then, reality sets in when I walk past a mirror. It's all about self-image. I'm not 150, I'm actually 250. That's quite a difference but my mind does not see it.

Way to go!

----

Weigh in this morning 131.2. I had gained back about a pound towards the end of last week from eating too much food and a bottle of wine Saturday. The boyfriend ended up staying home on account of a bad wiper motor but he didn't want to share the wine so I had the whole bottle. Doing better on my carbs/cals this week so far and doing a daily exercise video when I get off work.
Dreaming about springtime already...seed catalogs coming in the mail.

Hi all! Started in with JUDD yesterday. Got thru the day okay and am working on a schedule for tomorrow. Not as low carb as before, but I think the attention to calories is a good thing for me. Also, I am execited again!! Managed to fit in an exercise video as well, I must keep this up! Thanks to all for the motivation, and Nikki for the heads up to JUDD. See you later..

Congrats on the weight loss. I go through the same thing. I lost 120 pounds when I was younger and I hated myself at my lowest weight. Nothing was ever good enough. I think whats different now is I learned to love myself, who I am as a person, not what I look like. I have fat on my body but its not who I am. You can lose weight, but the negative feelings don't change unless you work on them as you go

Hey everyone. I hope all of you are doing well. I finally got below 310 to exactly 309. 10 more pounds to go. I went hiking yesterday, I am not sure how many miles we did. It was shameful because this older gentleman, probably in his 70s took off up this steep hill, while me and my friend huffed and puffed, and took breaks LOL He soon was out of sight haha.

Today I did a 30 mins strength training and 4 miles from walk away the pounds. Now I am extra sore.

Well, having a bad day My friends keep trying to plan something for us to do before the spring semester, but they just do not understand or accept my way of life I guess. They wanted to go out for drinks, I said I would go but I cant drink. I am fine with that. But they swear that if I cant do something with them, that they cant do it period. It's like they are trying to make me guilty. Its very hard, but at the end of the day I just don't care. I get tired of hearing what I should be doing, or not being doing.... I hate that I keep hearing that I am unhealthy ect. All of my friends are healthy and thin, so they just don't understand that losing weight is not an easy quest. I have drawn away from most of them recently, but I feel like I don't have choice

Hi Everyone,

I had some GUM surgery last 2 weeks ago so I could not exercise for a week...this week has been a nightmare with snow every night so I really have not been to the gym in 2 week. I still have not cheated once since I started on 1/2. I am down to about 151 so no major weight loss but I guess not bad considering I haven't been working out at all.
I am really hoping to break the 140's soon. That would really be a motivator.
This month is flying by...spring will be here soon!

Back up 1.4 pounds I shouldn't have weighed two consecutive days. Just a bummer considering I work so hard. I was supposed to take a rest day from exercise but now I feel like I have to work out.

My weight has been bouncing up and down this month. I'm at 182.2 this morning and started February at 180.4. I may end up with a gain for this month. I've stuck to low carb but my eating could be cleaner and I should work on my portion control but I'll just blame this bounce on TOM. lol

I am really hoping to break the 140's soon. That would really be a motivator.
