They are something we aim for, and we don't always hit our target goal. But it is nice to have one to push us or we might just get lazy. You are doing great! Just write down on that goal that you came short, and move onto the next one. You can do it!

My new goals for February is to be at 240 pounds. That's 2 1/2 pounds per week and I am going to have to work really hard at that. I figure somewhere in the month I can also lose that 1.8 pounds
That is a doable goal! Congrats on the 18lb loss!

Good jot on your weight loss! As for the BPC, I am sitting here drinking mine right now. I put some SF salted caramel in it, and it is divine!

One month update:

Ok, today is the last day in my month, and I am down 11.1 lbs from January 2. I am very, VERY crampy today, and tomorrow I am suppose to have my TOM. I have a feeling it is coming a day early. Sorry for the TMI. But I know I am retaining water because of it, and my weight loss would have been more if the timing was a bit better! LOL. So I am expecting a great whooosh in a few days!

Update on my plank challenge with my girls. I am now up to 40 seconds doing the plank. I forgot to do it last night, so I will count that as my rest day since we have one a week.

I hope everyone is doing well. I am going to get ready to go into work to get caught up.

Thank you both.

I must admit that I started January 1st and well, the first 11 pounds came off in four days.

Then I had a colonoscopy.

So, I fasted pretty much a whole day just drinking water and that concoction they make you drink! Yuk-o-mania. You are suppose to drink it with gatorade that is loaded full of carbs, but I did it with Fresca. Then there was 5 whole laxative pills throughout the day.

You are allowed to drink chicken broth, but for some reason when I tried it that day, I felt like I was drinking warm water that had a dead bird soaked in it. So no thank you.

I must of lost 5 more pounds in those two days. Now I was down to losing about 16 pounds. Then, after the procedure all I could do is lay and bed and sleep.

Well, now since I was pretty much cleaned out and exhausted, I stalled for over a week. I gained 2 of the pounds back and then started losing again slowly.

Whew!

February will be much harder since I don't have that initial loss of weight and thank goodness, no colonoscopy.

TMI: I will say that when I lo-carb, I become much more constipated than usual so I am going to have to do something about that. I say more than usual because when I eat like a piggy I still don't go regular like I think one should.

Good Attitude! NEW GOALS!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I dropped 3 pounds this week in about 4 days, down to 132 which was actually very concerning for me. Think I've having troubles keeping enough fluids which has been giving me headaches and minor dissy spells. Trying to figure out how to work in more salt/potassium & water. My goal for EO January was 135 so I made it! Goal for EO Feb is to be 130 with some more muscle! I was so wiped out and weak feeling after being sick there hasn't been too much ground made up there. You guys amaze me with your work outs too. I tried the Callenetics video and struggled pretty hard, core is pretty weak area for me.

I am out of town again this weekend but seem to be doing pretty good food wise so far. Had a decent salad with double chicken ay Subway last night, sausage patties this morning, nuts for a snack, and some type of chicken/sausage meal is for tonight. My boyfriends mom made some really awesome chicken/cheese breadstick type things too. This is a birthday meal for one of the family so its a little extra decadent. Lots of snow here too.

This Month we are all going to ROCK THE SCALES!

love2live...that is a normal struggle for lcers! Try taking magnesium supplements. I buy the Nature's Made brand ones from Costco, the soft gels 400mg, and take them about an hour before bed with lots of water. Magnesium has a lot of benefits (I find it makes me relax and fall asleep easier) and works nicely to clear things along. I read about it here when I first switched to LC and I have been taking it ever since...so 2 1/2 years now.

whew - I just compared today's weight to January 1st' weigh in and I've lost 8.2#. Happy with it, but need to drop more to be summer swimsuit ready! Have to concentrate on lifting and to be consistent with eating regularly.

Wow! Looks like everyone is doing great! I haven't been able to check in the past few weeks but it's great to see all of your successes. I have lost a total of 16 lbs since I started doing Medi Weight Loss 5 weeks ago. I started at 195.6 and I am now 179.6. So excited to see the 170's again on the scale. 13 out of the 16 pounds I lost was pure fat-that makes me even more excited. I have to say, that I really thought going low carb was going to be difficult but it has actually been very doable. I lost my cravings for sweets and find that I'm not nearly as hungry as I was when I was eating carbs. I'm going to Key West in 2 weeks and my goal is to lose another 4 lbs by then do I can have a total loss of 20 lbs. 20 lbs will be a real milestone for me and will keep me motivated to hit more milestones such as 30 lbs, 40 lbs and 50lbs. Keep up the great work everyone!!!!

Watched this video by Dr. Berg on YouTube this morning. It is very helpful for those who are not losing weight or not losing "fast enough". I will be looking into ways to relieve stress in my life as I am a slow loser.

Hopefully this link will be ok, as I got a private message saying I violated the Terms of Service for posting about the 30 day challenge website. Not sure what they were selling as to me it look like a site that gave you ideas for fitness challenges. ?????
So I hope the link above is OK for the admins.

that is such a good article....I wonder what the 3rd hormone is....maybe leptin??? anywho I am stressed beyond belief right now so I guess that's my Rate Limiting Factor in this equation cause I sleep, exercise every day, eat under 20 carbs a day, drink water, and do meditation/callanetics/yoga every other day. but I am under a huge amount of stress from work/money issues....so I guess it is the blessed Cortisol that is undermining my progress........well according to this guy......

I did a C25K program last august to November and ran my first 5k in November. I did it in 35 minutes which I considered pretty good for a first time runner....my next 5k will hopefully be april 19, I've been working out since 12/26 but not running cause it's ridiculous outside. This is the first day running and it felt great!!! I did 2.2 in 30 minutes, there was some walking of course but I didn't want to push it too hard, I just wanted to see what I could do!!!!

Today's project

I decided to do a little weight project to see how my weight loss transpires over the days/weeks/months.

The jar on the right has 18 objects, equaling the amount of weight lost thus far. The left jar has the remaining 102 pieces that I need to lose to get to my goal.

I bet that is what it is. I have stress too--kids and money, kids and money!!!
I can't get rid of the factors causing the stress (hahahaha), so I need to find a way to deal with the stress.

Right on!
I bought my fourth treadmill (don't ask), and out of the four, this one is such a problem! I just received from Proform some new sensors for the incline so hopefully it will work properly. The motor is so loud too, and the lady from Proform who is helping me asked me to do a few tests to see if it is the motor, and if it is, I guess they will send me a new one.

I have the C25K app on my iPod, and my 15 yo daughter is using it to get into shape for her Lacrosse events coming up. I think I may start using it too. I am kinda competitive--or at least use to be--and I would to enter some kind of run or something similar.

You did such a nice job on that!

I have mason jars too, and I think I am going to go to the dollar store to get me some glass beads or something to use.

I have found my new love. Tofu

My first time using tofu and making something was a success!

I fried these tofu pieces in garlic oil and they came out so good. The texture had the consistency of chicken. I'm shocked that I never found this out before.

I think I may have found a new obsession
