Thanks for the great idea mjgh06! I'll try this - even though I normally don't like fat. Maybe getting to the 4 oz of cheese will help, I usually only eat 1-2 ounces.

Made it through my first day LC yesterday. Evening was hard with the cravings but I had a box of SF cookies so I had 2 of those (lemon crèmes) and a packet of the Atkins peanut choc candies. Started day 2 at 208.5. I'm not sure how much of a water loss I can expect but happy to see it going down a bit. On track so far this morning for breakfast of 2 eggs and sausage scrambled with some cheese. We go through so many eggs in our house that last spring I decided to get chickens. I am so happy that I always have a fresh supply of eggs around and they taste so much better than the store bought ones. Anyone else here have their own chickens?

Hello,
I'm back from my trip and plan to weigh in on Saturday. Day 1&2 of the travel/meeting I stayed completely on plan with food. Then alcohol was available at the end of Day 1. Same with Day 2...I kept it to red wine and gin & tonics and didn't go overboard.

Day 3, I went off plan completely, which is when I ate at Chilis at the airport, and I just went ahead and ate those evil chips & salsa and ranch dressing...my favorite.

So glad to be home now!

Hope I can join!! Just started my Atkins on 1/5/14 but this thread caught my eye.

Merinda- I really want my own chickens, but the county I live in does not allow unless you have so many acres, etc. I do have friends who "hide" them - so I might try that. I loves me some fresh eggs.

Anyhoo- I do not want another FAT summer. Just spent the past 7 months living in Florida- where, I swear, has fewer fat people than anywhere. Esp the beach town where we stayed. Anyhoo, I did not hide my chubbs though- was out there all the time in my swimsuit. letting it all hang out. ahahh I love summer, the beach, swimming, floating, etc - so although I hate being overweight, I love being outside more. I do, however, want to look and feel better, esp for my kiddos.

Good luck to us all and may the odds be ever in our favor!!

@Quietbliss--I love your attitude about summer...I often feel self conscious even though I LOVE warm weather activities....so, for me this summer, no matter where I'm at with weight....I'm gonna LET IT ALL HANG OUT. I have many months to mentally and physically prepare, so I excited about that.

I need to start checking out the farmer's market, I would love to have fresh eggs. No interest in chickens though.
I usually work as a nanny 2 or 3 days a week but I've been off since before Christmas. I'm stating to feel like a slug. I'd be afraid to count my steps!
Back down to 195, so the mac & cheese didn't do too much damage.

ONDERLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HIT IT THIS MORNING!!!!!!!woohoo....now I gotta keep it and sadly today I fell at work and hurt my knee....no elliptical for me tonight and I'm devastated....i'll be working on upper body and abs and hips....I have to keep going....I have made my streak strong of working out at least 30 minutes every day....14 days in and I'm not giving up!!!

Congratulations on making it to Onederland, Mayleesa!!!

My eating has been excellent and I've been able to stick to water instead of soda. I'm not a fan of water but I'm so determined to win the battle of the bulge and willing to do what it takes to meet my goals.

This week I've had a few people notice that I'm getting smaller through my stomach area and I think it's because of consistent exercise since November. Walking has always been my preferred exercise but I'm finding that I need more variety to see results and have been doing lots of videos and some of them use light weights which have helped tone things up. My favorite videos are:

Proud of myself today....resisted an open bag of chocolate chips in the cupboard for a tangerine instead. Tonight took the grandkids out to dinner and ordered a chopped power salad....Yummy!

ON my second week....this is always the test for me....especially with the weekend coming up.

Woke up just now and weighed and didnt expect anything and 197.6 BAMMMM!!!

Good job resisting those things its hard i know!!! Im so proud of us all 2 weeks in for meanf im hitting it!!! Has anyone seen sweetpoison???
