Thanks Tammy! When I was little (back when it was unpopular) I hated my name....nobody could pronounce it correctly and I got sick of being a "Daniel"..

I am a Cali girl through and through...counting down the last few years until it's safe to move back to Northern Cali...I grew up in San Diego... I HATE the heat, cannot even tell you

Congrat's on a fantastic day!

Saturday I have a date w/ the tape measure...you're on!

I won't get the crown this week

But it has been a really good week for me! Points for eating on plan every day, even with so many goodies in the break room. I even donated chocolates I got for Christmas to the break room, so I wouldn't eat them.

I will need to focus on making time for exercise -- working at a huge wholesale club is exhausting -- so it's hard to work out on a work day.

Does anyone have ideas about how to exercise when your job is exercise?

Yoga! My favorite.

I was on track today, and went to yoga - that's 7 points for the week.

I agree w yoga. Lots of deep breathing and stretching. You can probably try something like Callanetics too. It used to get me ready for bed.

As for me, ate well and watp with the hubs! Work sucked big time so I really wanted to eat some junk today but I resisted the nilla wafers, nutter butters and Oreos that were in my desk (prediet snack drawer) instead I ate raw carrots and brocolli. Boy that was hard lol.

Sorry I haven't checked in...I have something B I G I'm preparing for...

My debut tomorrow without my mentor...YIKES !! I have lead a few Zumba songs but tomorrow I will practically lead the class alone and I better be on my game. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. I am partly living out my dream. I've always wanted to dance but I let weight hinder me from pursuing my dreams. But now I can do that through Zumba!

My eating is on point...I have to I can't gain weight....I won't gain weight. 20 more pounds and then maintenance for the rest of my life. I've worked out all week as a matter of fact I did Body Pump at the Y. I love that class as well and Body Pump just might be my second certification I will get.

I will be back tomorrow to read through all that I've missed.

KEEP KILLING THE GAME FRIENDS!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

2014 IS OURS!!!

Morning everyone.

I exercised yesterday, but can't in good conscience give myself the full point for food. I can do a half since nothing was technically "off-plan" but it was too much.

So, days 1-5 (Is that right? We started on Sunday didn't we?) 9.5 points

I need to rest my legs today so I need an upper body workout- I don't miss out on any more points!

I love taking measurements, because even when the scale may stall, I usually always see results in the measurements! HOWEVER, personally, I only measure once a month, so the results are more apparent. Otherwise, I think it might be discouraging.

Hey, Danielle, I'm with ya, Girl! I don't remember when I was more consistent with exercise. It's been a long time.

I actually look forward to going to my calendar to write another point down. That's been incentive enough to stay on track. I LOOOOVE CUTTING THE CRAP!!!

Yes!

This one: Santa Cruz | she.is.beautiful The Pinkest 10K & 5K

I signed up for the 10K (I will likely walk part of it). A bunch of gals from work run it every year and a friend from out of town is coming. I have been running it since it's first year (when they ran out of water ) and it is a lot of fun. I missed it last year and I was sad.

I signed up for a training program through my local running store to keep myself accountable (super accountable combined with this challenge ). That program rolls into a half-marathon program I'll probably continue with if the foot is OK. That's my preferred race distance.

I went out Saturday and walked the route just to know I can do it (got a blister, but made it with energy to spare and the foot felt good). I figure I can only improve from that.

Difficult day today because of the 'exceptional weather' and the list of outdoor chores that had to be done before the sensitive flood times (x2 today because of the tides).

Our river held its banks but there's a fair amount of standing water and I'm having to keep on top of it in the garden so it doesn't come into the house (the house is at the foot of a short but steep gradient).

However, overall, particularly in comparison to inundated parts of the UK or bits of the US where the snow just dumped, I've little to whinge about

Weight: 126.2lbs (uptick but it will pass and it's still in my range of 124-127lbs)
Exercise: rest day
Ate on plan for a DD: approx. <450kcals

Looking for a good day tomorrow and a decent kayak session if the rivers aren't too high and winds too strong.

Another thing I did was eat my eggs in the morning with a tablespoon of heavy cream. That always seems to make me hungry all day. I wont be doing that anymore. It seems to trigger hunger all day.
Are you scrambling the eggs with the cream or how are they prepared...I'm just curious...I may try it.

Just as an update, we paddled for 3 hours in some of the toughest water I've ever been on (the rivers are very high volume and roaring). It was exciting and fabulous and tough.

At 124.6lbs, my weight is within my 124-127lbs maintenance range.

Eating continues to be on plan for an UD - so if I close out like this, 7 points for 7 days of eating on plan and 3 points for 1 gym session and 2 kayak sessions.

Week 1 - 10 points - a good CTC week for me.
