My friends and I went to BJs, one of my favorite resteruant, but I ordered a César salad with no croutons and with blue cheese. The only problem was, they drenched the salad in dressing. I forgot to ask for it on the side. It was like, "can I get some salad with my dressing?" I did keep eyeing the bar though haha.
Great job!!
Taking measurements is always a good idea... I usually measure just once a month so I can see a good loss each time. Kudos for ordering the salad, anyway!

Another good week here! I got in 4 workouts and 7 days of good eating! woo hoo! Down 3 lbs---they were hard fought because the scale was a butt most of the week (I weigh and track daily) but finally got that woosh this morning! I am doing some workouts with weights--not heavy--but its been a challenge... I took a look in the mirror and boy oh boy do I have crazy stretch marks! I'm not beating myself up about allowing myself to regain all this weight-- I'm super motivated to get to my most fit, most healthy self!

So glad you ladies joined the challenge! Every time I read your posts, it's like adding coins to my motivation piggy bank! Work has been a beast--and I would typically use that as an excuse to eat-cake! LOL Dessert is my go to in times of stress! Now I'm working out, reading you guy's posts and checking off the days on my big CTC board!

My beyonce goal dress arrived this week. Its totally gorgeous! I wont be able to fit into in until well after our challenge is over but I am just so happy for the habits we are all forming now!

Looks like we're all on track!! Alright!!

I had 7 days of good eating, and 4 gym days, for 11 points this week, 21 total for the challenge. I am up a pound from last week on the scale, but I had weighed earlier in the week and was DOWN 3 from last week, so I'm trying very hard not to freak out today. It's just water. It's just water. It's just water. I do know I haven't done anything to gain, so I will NOT listen to my ED voice today.

Here's to a successful week ahead! Today I'll be watching the BRONCO'S get one step closer to the AFC championship, going to a meditation group, and preparing my food for the week. Foods planned: Authentic pork green chili, massive veggie chopping for me and DH to have salads for lunch, I am also making a half recipe (just to try it) of DJ's Italian Mozzarella Meat Loaf - found the recipe on his Facebook. If you're interested, he's a member here as well, but he has some AWESOME recipes, his website is DJ Lowcarb I believe. Do you all prep food for the week on your day off too?

when you woosh its gonna be an awesome loss! I track my losses on an a spreadsheet but I also have an app that supposed to help you feel good despite the ups and downs of the scale--it has two settings-one shows you your lowest recorded weight and the other shows an estimate based on your losses-- it helps to see that despite daily fluctuations I've got a general downward trend!

I used to prep for the week... but now I meal plan with hubby and he cooks while i'm at work. Preparation is so important and your pork green chili sounds good! I need to have him make that for me!

Good morning ladies!

Tyl awesome motivating post....and great job with the loss!

Bobbin, we lived in CO. for 15 years, so we are big Broncos fans and cannot wait for the game today!!!!

Everyone is doing so great cutting the crap, this challenge has been VERY motivating!

Off to a great start today, we slept in and then had a leisurely breakfast of eggs benedict minus the English muffin and I made some cinnamon flax muffins that were quite nice.....so eating is well on track!!

How's everyone else doing?

Hey everyone

12/14 points ( Since I started my eating plan late)
7 for eating on plan this week
5 for exercise

Also down another 2 pounds so that makes 12 total! I am really enjoying this initial weight loss before it slows down.

Ahhh, football season. I'm not much of a fan, but I am in the heart of 49er country. I went to the touristy-area beach today and ran by a bar. I heard yelling and howling coming from inside and thought to myself, "What the heck? Oh yea, playoffs."

Gah, kayaking is cancelled today because of river volume - I desperately need an indoor activity. With luck, this move will put me nearer an affordable swimming pool or such when the removal-related frenzy dies down.

Zero weight lost from last Sunday to this Sunday. BUMMER!

However, I DO know that I saw lower numbers through the week and my "official" day to weigh is really Thurdays...going by that I AM down for the week. Amazing how numbers can fluctuate and then wreak havoc on the mood if you let it...it's all how you position the picture IMO!

Getting a quick 2 mile walk in this morning before DH and I get busy for the day.. DD17 is FINALLY going back to class today.. Poor kid. Thankfully she's my studious one who will have no issues wading through 3 days of missed homework!

Make it a great day, ladies!

I'm finding this challenge surprising easy to stay on and I'm really enjoying this hard-assed group approach.Over all I'm feeling very healthy, pain free and generally great. I find determined people much more inspirational than excuses and whining. We are all experienced enough at this game to know that the problems are very real but we are not giving into them. We all know no matter what we still are the ones in control of those choices that we make. Wonderful group energy!! I'm not having problems with food or working out but that scale is going to be the death of me. It just does not go down. I'll give it this challenge and then get myself into a doctor or something. Low carb, low calorie, high exercise and No weight loss. Something might be off with me. Bummer.
chantyl: I grew up in the Bay Area. Albany, to be precise. I missed it horribly at first but after a few years in the MidWest we went back following a job lead. The cost of housing, the crowds, the traffic, the parking nightmares, the cost of everything, the general level of rude and we said, "forget it" and headed to Michigan. In Albany the slow street in our neighborhood I used to play kick-the-can on is now so busy you now can barely cross and need a permit to park on! Still have family there and do visit. The weather is unbeatable but too many people! Still miss the ocean but Lake Michigan is pretty phenomenal.

Sorry the scale isn't cooperating . On a good note, you will always be healthier when you eat right--regardless of what the scale does. KEEP UP the GREAT WORK!

Side note: I also grew up in the Bay Area.. Concord, to be exact. And as I'm writing this, Journey's song "Lights" is playing. (LOL) GO NINERS~!

I actually live south of THE bay area off Highway 1. COL is still high, but traffic, congestion and space aren't nearly as bad. It is sunny and about 60 degrees right now, so we have that going for us.
