Nov 2014 A DXA scan reported very low muscle mass (sarcopenia) so I'm still thinking about how to cope with that. I have some joint surgery to schedule. I may miss questions that people ask me or personals. Apologies if I do, it's not intentional.

Early morning gym, restarted 30 min circuit. It'll be awhile to do the for 30 min but I love it. Up my water to see if I can get rid of this bloating.

Karen yikes your really getting a cold spell. It's been in the 30s here and no wind for a change, so I've been back to walking.

Rebecca I have to journal too, it keeps me on track with my eating.

SS hope your ear infection goes away fast. Nothing worse the your ear hurting. Do you have your new apartment all set up.

We had bad snow today. Major highways were closed due to accidents. It took my husband 90 min to get home, normally just a 25 minute drive. I came out of the doctors and I looked line a blizzard. Nothing when I went in and I was only there for about 30 minutes. Not long at all. I could barely see driving home. Were getting another 2-3" tomorrow too in the afternoon. I cannot wait for spring.

Did great on my WW program since Tuesday. Gotta keep it going now!

We had that weather on Thursday. Strongest winds I can ever remember. It was interesting......but not enough snow here to make it extremely dangerous. But 60 miles east was really nasty. I think March is going to be really snowy and bad based upon fog days here. (old-timer saying, that we believe in)

Week 1 challenge - Stay on plan for the week since I seem to give up on Day 3 lately.

End of week 1 will be Thursday 1/23, So far I have been able to stay focus and est only what I plan for the day. I work from home so it is easy; snacks and meals are easily available. I don't have to prepare much ahead of time. Only once a week, I have to go to the office for a meeting and I plan to bring an Atkins meal with me instead of stopping and eating fast food for lunch.

Summary week 3

I've continued to weigh daily except when away from my scales. I've maintained 122-127 with a high of 123.2lbs.

I'm still tweaking the konjac and resistant starch to establish the correct dosage and schedule: this needs to continue.

Poor week for exercise with a lot of weather-related cancellations. In my new neighbourhood, I hope for more affordable indoor options.

I successfully introduced liquid Mg and Zn supplements.

My goals for week 4 are to consolidate the above as I need to tweak them to suit me.
I've just moved into a short-term rental (less commuting time) so things may be awry for a while.
Continue to weigh in.
Continue konjac and resistant starch.

Final results.........Not so good.

I did do exercise every day. Went to the gym twice. don't think I made 10 minutes every day, but I did get some activity in.
I did NOT write down my fluid intake this week. I only drank pop twice, but did not write it down. Need to do that so I can know where I am even AT on this front.

Today weight 193, so went up a lb. Not sure how that happened, but should go away this week

Goals for the week of Jan 19th, need to find out what is keeping me bloated. Must be somthing I'm doing different. Usually increasing my water does the trick. So this week increasing my water, 5 days at the gym, and careful journal of all my foods.

Good starting point. Hope you get it figured out.

I am going to try real hard to do some working out while TV is on. DH and I are alone at home again, so no one else is using that floor

Still on plan down 9.2 lbs. so far and I have to go to Thursday for my first week to be complete. Taking a day trip and eating at a buffet (God please give me strength). I will eat only low foods but need to watch how much. Hopefully I will not see a gain tomorrow.

Good workout at the gym, already getting my water in, and scale is down a few oz. So great day so far.

Cathy, those Atkins dinner are a life saver at times and the ones I'd had are really good. We posted together wtg on the 9 lbs great start. The good thing about a buffet is you get to pick the foods. You'll do good I'm sure

Jan 19 122.8.bs
Jan 20 122.8lbs
Jan 21 122.2lbs

I kayaked on Sunday, Monday's kayaking was cancelled and I have gym with a trainer tonight (Tuesday).

Still tweaking the konjac and potato starch to find a level that doesn't cause TMI gut problems (when it's supposed to be helping them ).

CJMO I'm taking my liquid Mg and Zn. but coping as long as I have a chaser of flavoured water to follow. I don't notice any difference yet but I've an ear infection so it may be tricky to discern any +ve differences.

Measurements
Thigh: 24
Hips:43.5
Waist:39.5
Chest:42.0
Arm:14.0
These were my measurements for last month. Nothing much has changed.
I did this morning, and I am going to change to what I think are true measurements. Think this listed were a little optimistic (or loose)

But I am taking them again tonight. Took them this morning, but don't remember a couple for sure, and want to get TRUE measurements. Got a measuring tape designed for bodies, not a horse weight tape to measure with

Chest 42.0
Arm 14.0

I have always had more upper body muscle than legs....so working on arms first, and then work on legs after I feel better about myself.

Found a morning diet/supplement drink instead of BF, so can get some food without worrying. See how that helps.......

They make horse and cattle weight tapes......marked in inches on one side, and animal weights on other side, so you can run the tape around chest (barrel) of the animal and get how much they weigh. Used for determining antibiotic doses, wormers, etc. Down to how much a foal or calf weighs when it is born.

On track and been at the gym for great workouts I made a new friend there and we do circuit together and it goes so fast. Even though DH goes he does different exercises and is on the tread forever.

Cheryl wtg on the scale going back down. Mine is too but really slow and then bounces up a bit.

Karen same here I have more upper body strength and will all the walking I do you think it would be my legs.

My goals for week 5 are influenced by my removal-related activities and essential maintenance necessitated by continued flooding.

Continue to weigh in.
Continue konjac and resistant starch.
Continue exercise and look for suitable indoor activity.
Continue liquid Mg supplement.
Continue liquid Zn supplement.

Still tweaking the konjac and potato starch to find a level that doesn't cause TMI gut problems (when it's supposed to be helping them ).

Flooding (and other weather factors) have a definite impact on our lives and how we eat. Hope you are recovering from flood factors...

Blizzard supposed to be here by noon, and I always am hungry before a storm comes in. Hard to resist eating when instincts are working against you.

I go down to my parents every Sunday morning, so gotta go have coffee......

Exercise every day.....at least 10 minutes of planks/pushups, weights.
Track water and Non-water drinks to get a handle on my fluid intake.
Goal is 128 ounces because I have no idea what I drink.

Same as last week, because didn't make my goals last week.
Work and weather are messing with my goals.
I have still stayed away from pop, but SF drinks are dropping in to my days.....

So I would say I bombed on both goals this week, but dropped to 192.5.

Not proud of this, but gotta get back to some exercise and RECORDING it!!
Same with water. Busy is always my excuse to not follow thru......I have to do better about taking care of ME!!
