I had fruit bought for fundraiser, so last few days been eating 2 oranges for BF. They tasted really good, but think that is slowing the scale. Last ones eaten yesterday, so back to LC Bf only.......

What WOE are you doing? Or are you making it up as you go? That's what I tend to do.

My pain is better today. stayed on track yesterday.

Isn't it strange how a couple oranges can set you back.
But we don't know til we try

Week 6: Starting 192.0

Continue VLC BF, with coffee with Coconut or Safflower Oil each day.
20 minutes every day. Gotta work on this one!
Only snacks Almonds or cheese. (Bought 4 lbs this week)
Absolutely no diet pop. 1 SF drink per day max (MIO)
Total body measurements down by 1 inch somewhere.

Measurements:
Thigh 24
Hips 43.5
Waist 39.5
Chest 42.0
Arm 14

Above were my goals for this last week.
Scale stayed the same (OK with that for Xmas week)
No loss in measurements.
I have not been getting coconut oil in my coffees. Gotta work on that.
Snacks have been all LC. Almonds are my friend.
Been eating oranges for BF, and I think that has bad affect. Quitting that.
Eating has not been "meal-time" only with family gatherings and kids home all the time.

Next Post will be this coming week's goals. I also need to check in here daily for an update on my weekly goals... I am really serious about getting rid of at least 10 lbs (bet with DH is for 20, so I have 16 to go on that one)

My challenges for this week are to:
resist New Year celebration temptations;
keep up my activity levels (my favourite sport is kayaking but it's limited at present because of the difficult weather in the UK and the Winter risk of hypothermia);
monitor my weight daily (I've been maintaining for 6months and I'm apprehensive that my appetite might increase or activity levels drops if my body tries to return to its previous weight).

Welcome SS. Yeah hypothermia would be bad!

I'm still on track going from BB to carbs once a day seems to be working. I did take a couple days off from walking to get pain under control but I will be back at it tomorrow.

Misty you're going back to induction? You are serious!

Karen that's great!! You sound so good. my DH doesn't like breakfast for dinner.

Stayed right on plan today, but boy was I hungry. So glad I'm writing and checking what I'm eating.

Cheryl I gain 7 lbs so fast I figure I'd better start with induction for awhile first.

Glad to see some new friends joining.

Slipped a little off plan last night. Wanted something sweet so bad. I ended up eating a SF popsicle. Not to bad. Now to stay on plan tonight. I know I'll be having drinks but think my carb count will be good. Planned ahead.hope everyone has a Great New Years Eve.

DH and I are scheduled for a New Year's Day 5hr kayaking trip - we've had a blizzard of email reminders about hypothermia protocols because it's so wet and windy here with the latest storms. As long as the trip's not cancelled because the river's too high, we're looking forward to it.

I'm continuing to weigh every day (124.4lbs today).

So far, I'm on-track to resist NY temptations.

Good luck to everyone and may perseverance bless us all for our personal challenges.

I am hungry today...........not sure if that means I am eating less, or weather is changing

Hope you get past it quickly. And enjoy New Years with a couple drinks for me!!!!! Just in case of tow calls, we don't drink on New Years eve.

Happy New Year everyone.

I had a slip today too. Had tummy troubles and that always sends me to carbs to settle it. Much better now. Weigh in Thurs. so I hope any damage will be gone by then.

Karen do you just stay up in anticipation of tow calls?

SS I've not been out on the water except in motorized watercraft or a tube. I do love watching canoes and may king on TV. Looks like fun.

Misty have a drink for me too. By the time you have drinks for everyone your head will be

We do not stay up for towcalls. We have no problem waking up in the night if a call comes in. And so far, we have never had a call on New Years Eve. Sometimes the next day, but not during the night. Now hoping for a quiet day.

The scale was nice to me this morning. Going to take measurements to start new year, even though not a Sunday morning Get a true starting point, and serious about this weight thing. It got out of control this past year....but a New Year

Kayaking is my favourite sporting activity I have to say tho' that some of the motorised small craft look good.

We have a 5-6hr trip planned for today but a storm front came in so the group leaders took the (entirely justified) decision to call off the trip after a couple of hours. (The risk level crossed the line as it was cold, the rain was heavy and the wind force and chill was high.)

Eating on plan for today despite a couple of temptations that we had to resist after our return from the storm.

Forgot to say that I did weigh-in this morning, at 124.6lbs.

I did exercise (kayak) although it was wet and cold (albeit for a shorter time than I'd have preferred) and I did resist New Year celebration-related food temptations.

I reread my post and saw auto correct struck again. from kayaking to May king

Sounds like you are doing well SS. What's the weather like there? It is snowing, windy and cold here tonight and tomorrow. It was 54 earlier. Our weather bounces around.

How did you do Karen ? Are the horses put up for winter or do you still ride?

Misty survive The Eve?

I'm expecting a bump up or no lose tomorrow. For my carb meal I had some meat pizza. I expect a sodium problem. But I am on track and I'm sure it will come on down. I've been doing good on my 10000 steps.

No snow here, but we've had 3 protracted storm fronts in a week in the UK and it's caused extensive flooding/alerts as the ground is so sodden that the water can't drain off and several rivers have burst their banks. The wind has been up to 140mph and there's been a lot of property damage (so far, we've been OK for that but I don't know how many more wind assaults wet wood fence panels or sheds can take - tho' roofs are most people's big worry).

I hope the sodium bloat passes quickly and well done on making your daily steps quota.

I can go out and just tool around bareback IF the weather is warm and the footing is good in the arena. I don't do it as often as I should, but the option is there. And trying to stay more active this tax season!!

Well off the wagon today. I don't know if it's the cold, no work, or what but I was hungry all day and craving chocolate. I sure tomorrow is better.

Misty good for you!

Karen 3# wow!

SS did I read that right? Storms with 140 mph winds? That's some strong storms. We flood here too but that's in the Spring. Stay safe!

It was the highest speed recorded in UK during recent storm.

Today's and Sunday's storms are an unfortunate amalgam of Spring Tides and a bad storm front which is why it's being described as 'exceptional weather' and people along coastal areas have been told to pack bags etc. against an emergency evacuation order.

Practically, much of the UK is under flood warning of one level or another.

My best wishes to anyone caught up in the US snow storms at present.

--------

3 Jan weigh-in 126.2lbs (fluid and sodium, it will go soon)

Straight on plan yesterday, fought off the cravings eating alot of celery, which I love anyway. Keeping up with my water really helps.Almost 2 feet of snow so getting in alot of exercise even though I couldn't make it to the gym.

Sue stay safe sounds bad there too. Are you on the coastal area?
