So the bet is loss per week ($10 per week that will probably just pass back and forth). Wow that is an expensive piece of machinery. I have an opinionated DH too. competition always gets me going. Right now I'm just skating on thin ice. after Christmas I will get serious. Maintain is the name of my game for now. Good for you that you can lose!

The DH Dual------and I am down 3 lbs since Thursday morning

DH is down 2#. But it does help me. He had Coke at supper last night (restaurant) and I did water with lemon...... It gives me that little incentive to do 1 thing different from him. At Long John Silver last Wednesday, he had pop and ate the chocolate pie. I drank diet and took my pecan pie home and ate it the next night with a lighter supper...... DH and I weigh in on Thursday mornings to minimize the weekend eating damage....

Now I have to look at my last Sunday goals and measure up.

Week 5: Starting 193.0

Continue VLC BF, with coffee with Coconut or Safflower Oil each day.
20 minutes every day. Gotta work on this one!
Only snacks Almonds or cheese. (Bought 4 lbs this week)
Absolutely no diet pop. 1 SF drink per day max (MIO)
Total body measurements down by 1 inch somewhere.
Scale down 1 lb. (seems like scale going nowhere if I don't put it into goals)

tape measure updates.
Thigh 24
hips 44
waist 40
chest 42.5
arm 14.0

Total still not getting the 20 min of exercise every day. Getting in closer to 10, but I am doing SOME, which is better than I was. I am starting to jog in place in front of my TV.
And since I have the bet with DH, he actually did a couple minutes yesterday too. I chuckled!!!

Well it looks like you lost your inch.

I'm going to start back. I'm feeling bad. Not eating right. So back to carbs once a day. BB on days when I'm eating at home. Otherwise the carb meal will be an eat out. I have family coming in at the end of the week til after Christmas.

Things just didn't work out today the way I planned

I got a call, while working, from Mom. She had just left the ER. She fell in the parking lot after her hearing aide check up. Tripped over some crack or something. That leg from the tornado sometimes doesn't work right. Anyway she split or bite her lip enough to require stitches. Hit her head, scraped her knees and elbows and hands, swollen finger on so on. She said she was fine. I've talked to her several times. Gotta keep an eye on her. Anyway I worked long and came home late and ordered pizza. Oh well.

How did you do?

So sorry about your mom. My mom hasn't fallen lately, but she doesn't go anywhere without her little wheelie cart

Dad isn't walking very good either, so we know it is only a matter of time before something like that here, too.

Mom is unsteady since the tornado. Combine that with her loss of concentration since then and she is a disaster. Almost every week something. This was a bad one tho. She seems to be feeling have decent. Her knees don't work well on steps right now. I tell her to quit trying to do things. Take it easy. she is 81 and determined to be independent.

How old are your parents ?

Glad she is ok.
My mom is having trouble too with an old knee injury since she got so weak from not eating........

My folks keep telling me that getting old is no fun. Watching them isn't fun either.

Weekly Challenge with DH ends on Thursday.
I am down 4 lbs, DH is down 1 lb.

So far, he hasn't been telling me that it is all about portion control!!! That isn't working for him, and he is hungry all the time. Already getting discouraged. I don't enjoy watching it, but I was sick and tired of him knocking what I was eating when I was LC or CAD. His method isn't working......mine seems to be right now.

you don't go hungry and lose he does and barely loses. And men tend to lose easier anyway. It's a learning experience. DH is a bread lover so he doesn't like these WOE's. I like it. When I stick to it. Generally feel better. Makes me knock my head like the V 8 commercial when I stray. Why do I do that ?

1 week to restart.

Yeah, but DH is actually down 3.5 this week, and I am same as Thursday
Knew it would be tough to stay ahead of him since he had salt last week weigh in....(but I didn't tell him that was his problem....needs to figure it out himself)

Continue 10000 steps
Work on pain control so I can start some weights. I have new meds so maybe...
Lose 1#

I gained 2 # this week. That scale went the wrong way.

It is officially time to get back on track. Party season is over. I had to buy jeans a size larger. so here I go.

Carbs once a day
Continue 10000 steps
Wt. train 10 minutes 4 x a week. Upper body x 2. Lower body x2.
Monitor pain levels
Lose 2#

Long term goals. Lose 20#. Weight train 20 minutes 4 x week. Lose 2 sizes.

We did weekly weigh-in this morning.......

DH lost 2 lbs, and I gained two lbs......

so in total, DH is down 3 lbs, and I am down 2 lbs......

It is tough to stay on plan with family members needing fed, and helping by cooking. DD21 made a whole batch of almond-covered pretzels (and they were REALLY good)

DH lost two lbs. I gained two. So we are tied after two weeks..........but we are both lower from start. I did Sam's club tonight and got lots chicken for crockpot lunches.........now to lace with veggies just to tick off DH

I just realized I haven't had pop in a week ...........and not craving it. Doesn't sound good. Maybe the weekly goals will help build new habits!

I did my upper body workout today with 3# weights. Tonight I hurt terribly. So I'm going to have to give that goal up.

I went to gym this morning with DD20. Did weight machines and even jogged around track several times. Without dying

think tomorrow is babysitting GS again......

Good for you! That's what I want to be able to do. I don't know why it has all flared up so much these past few months. But I did get pain meds so I will take it at bedtime.
