that sounds like a wonderful time tho. We haven't had any bad wind. It's just going to be bitter cold. Oh I think the wind is supposed to pick up. Dang ! At least we didn't get ice and no big snow.

My eating is off but not as bad. Doing my exercising.

Fly by to say that I'm still plugging away, maintaining my habits but feeling like the constant clean-up from the flooding is having a strong impact on my free time and energy to introduce other ones. Currently on flood alert with high winds - more flooding predicted for Thursday.

Still can't notice any effects from the Mg - but that might be because so much else is going on.

Hang in there. Winter is being a little rough here this year.
We have 6" snow, 2 degrees this morning with wind chills below zero. 20-30 mile per hour winds today, and wind chills of 20 below or more tonight....

With weather like this, I tend to eat off plan. Feel a sore throat starting up, also..................

Start Date: 1st-9-13-04 restart 1-1-11
Been away and off plan for awhile so fresh start today. Goals for me for the next 2 weeks are to get exercise in 5 days a week, drink plenty of water, stay on LC and no eating after 7 pm.

Karen I tend to eat more when the weather is cold too. Which isn't a bad thing but it's the amount I eat that causing problems for me. Hope your throat is better and that your not getting a cold.

SS hope the cleanup from all the flooding is coming to and end. I feel so bad that people have to go through that mess.

DH has terrible cold.............trying to stay away from him!! Threatened to sleep in the spare room tonight.... He slept in the recliner last night.

Fly by to say that the UK and my local area have more storms forecast for this weekend - and we need to do things for people who are being displaced during the most vulnerable periods.

On a trite note, my Spring Garden is ruined. On the upside - there should be some classic kayaking in the next few months.

My challenge
Shake things up. What I am doing isn't working
So ..... Portion control. No counting points or carbs or anything. Eat reasonable balanced meals. A snack or 2. Some dessert. I'm not sure I remember how to eat this way but that is how I use to eat. No deprivation.

Not obcess about getting 10000 steps in. It's winter cold and nasty and I'm wearing a path in the carpet.

I will continue with my weightless training and planks. Hopefully I will work up to light weight. I'm also adding in some balance moves.

No scale. Just going off how I feel. It may take a week or a few weeks to get it right. I've got to change my mind set. But that's the direction I am headed.

Waaaaay too cold here, too.

Mother Nature is giving us plenty of temperature changes this year. No wind today, so the wind chill isn't too bad.

On plan and doing good, I think drinking the extra water is helping.

Cheryl your new plan sounds good.Hope it works for you. I think thats why I've been combining Atkins with SB for a wider range of foods. WTG on you Badge.

Karen I eat a sweet potato now and then and no problem.

How's everyone else doing on there plan??

I'm doing ok so far. No over eating. I'm having some trouble with exercise- shoulder / deltoid pain so I think I will trade my push ups for bench presses.

Actually eating has been fairly good. Cooking eggs for evening meal, so eggs twice per day.......

Will probably get boring soon, but see if scale will drop first.

I'm hanging in there. My appetite is decreasing. I don't know if it's the warmer weather or that I'm not restricting myself. Whatever it is, I'll take it. I have added some weight to my 2 exercises. I've only done it once but so far so good.

Hi everyone! I love the idea of a week long challenge. I have been messing up terribly and have regained 20 of the 60lbs I had lost, so before it gets any worse I am rereading all my books and am going to be perfect this week to get into ketosis, and then I will be sticking with Atkins '72 as it worked so well for me before.

Hope you don't mind me jumping in, I just have better success when I am active on the boards! Thanks!

Actually got in about 2 minutes of dedicated exercise yesterday. That is about as good as it gets for next couple of weeks.......

Anyone interested in starting this thread back up? Taking goals weekly instead of monthly did seem to help me, when I was using this thread....

Goal for this first week restart is 10 minutes of activity.....doing anything. That is only goal I am starting with.
