Jumping in...there is no better time to start than NOW!
 
I'm sick of the weight gain and I know low carb is the way for me to lose it.
I've done it before, I can do it again. Today is Day 1.

Trying to remember what I can and can not eat and trying to stay focused on the CAN.

If you are jumping back into LC, come talk with me and we can share what we are eating, weighing, what is helping and just how the day is going...

Today:
B: slim jim and cheese
L: salad with BC dressing and chili
D: steak with caesar salad

Weighed in at 159 this morning which is up from 156 due to a fun night of drinking and eating stupidly. Hoping to get those 3 off by Monday morning and Ketosis by then too.

Day 2:

Looking forward to eggs and bacon for breakfast.
Maybe some buffalo wings for lunch and a salad with BC dressing for dinner.

I'm down to 157.2 so some of the weight from a wild Friday has come off.

Anyone else start lately? What are you eating?

Trying to get back into the swing of things myself. I'm not sure it is the best time since holidays are on the horizon, but figure that I will do the best that I can for now.

B- boiled egg, coffee, hwc, Splenda x2
L- beef smoked sausage cooked with shredded cabbage (slaw) in coconut oil
D- angus beef patty with sautéed mushrooms and onions, shredded cabbage (love this
stuff) in coconut oil
Sn- oopsie roll topped with a sugar free jello/cream cheese combo

Glad you decided to jump in! Here's to us being healthier by Christmas!

Today I weighed myself and forgot to write it down. After I got dressed, I realized that and was almost going to get undressed so I could weigh myself again since I forgot what I weighed. So, I guess I just wait until tomorrow to see if I'm still losing. Tomorrow is my weigh in challenge at work. Hoping for a small miracle considering I've been up for the past 2 weeks!

DH has decided he will LC too but sometimes he makes it hard for me because he cheats and then complains that he doesn't lose weight. So frustrating!

Hoping for the best tomorrow! GO LC!!!!

B-coffee, hwc, Splenda x3, angus burger on oopsie roll with lettuce and tomato
L- screwed up ( watching too many cooking shows) :( had 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream w/ 1 1/2 tbs chocolate syrup
D-pork chops, salad, cauliflower rice

Todays menu:
B: egg salad
S: cheddar cheese
L: beef & broccoli
D: cream of cauliflower soup and salami (weird combo)
maybe a small salad later..

Todays weight: 153.8... definitely going in the right direction.
Hoping to see the 140's by early next week! :aprayer:

For Turkey Day, it is just my DH and 2 dd's so I will control what goes on the table. They like sweet potato casserole, I do not so that will be their potato. I won't serve bread. I will have turkey and Mock Potato Cheesy Casserole (cauliflower) and just whatever I want really. I was thinking of making jalapeno poppers for an appetizer and also serve a nice salad. I might make a LC cheesecake and get a pumpkin pie for them (which I don't like)
It really is no big deal to me. I like to use T-day as prep for Black Friday.
I also like to take that day to just veg out and watch TV and spend time with family.

I'm really not dwelling on that day at all. How about you?

Thanksgiving will be a day of family and lots of carbs unfortunately. I will try to stick with turkey, ham, green beans, deviled eggs, cole slaw, and it might make a LC pecan cheesecake.
Today:
B- coffee, Splenda, hwc x2
L-zaxby's grilled chicken salad, no bread, no fried onions, no bread with ranch dressing
Sn- raw almonds
D- salad with 3-4 oz steak, ranch dressing

Your menu sounds yummy! We are getting a Zaxbys in January. Is it good?

Today I actually gained a pound. The only reason I can come up with is that I haven't gone to the bathroom in days. I want the scale to keep going down! I was very disappointed with it going up today. I almost sabbotoged myself.

Onward and upward, right?

Tomorrow is a potluck at work and I'm hoping to stay strong. I made a mexican dip that I will eat with celery sticks and some turkey. Hope there isn't anything too tempting. Luckily everything that people signed up for, I do not like. I am a pretty picky eater especially with things like a slimy green bean casserole. YUK! So that is good! :jumpjoy:

Hoping for good news tomorrow for both of us!!!

So, how was your potluck? Good, I hope. I just wanted to let you know that I (with the encouragement from my husband) am going to go back and try calorie counting again. He is trying to help me stay motivated and feels that this might work with all the holidays coming up. Good luck with your weight loss, stay encouraged!

Ya gotta do what works for you.

Pot luck didn't go as well as I hoping. I had a few little nibbles of more than a few things but stayed the same weight today. 153.2~ YEAH

Still would like to be down to the 140's by next week!
