All I Want for Christmas is to Lose a Few 2013

Ok, here it is! The challenge that brought us all together in the first place! We all did great that first year, let's try to recreate those same results this year! We can do it.

This challenge is open to everyone! The more the merrier (pun intended) and we love having new members join our challenges, so please don't be shy! Join us and lets lose some weight before the end of the year.

This challenge will run from November 2nd through December 31st. It's not too late to make a difference in our weight this year!!!!

Your challenge is to check in every day and post your menu, and then stick to it as closely as possible.

I'll start.

My goal for this challenge is to get to 159 by Christmas. I'm at 176 right now, and even though I'm stalled...I still think I can hit 159 by Christmas if I stay strict and get some exercise in daily.

My menu today was:
B: carrot/ginger/beet juice
L: steak, mushrooms, broccoli
D: Nothing. I was still full from lunch

Exercise: Nada
Water: Barely

I'll do better on exercise and water tomorrow.

Don't stress Beach! You are one of those people, that once you put your mind to it, you have super willpower and the weight drops back off super fast. I always admire how quickly you are able to get it off.

You'll be back in the 140's in no time!

Hey guys!
I would like to be anywhere in the 150's by the end of this challenge. It sounds impossible to me since I haven't been in the 150's since before my 1st child was born! I was 166.8 on my last weigh in and I am not weighing in very often. I find it less stressful.
The scale is not my friend... When I have a bad day I will blow my diet because I think it is not working anyway ... If I have a good day I blow my diet because I deserve a break for all my hard work!
I just can't win...

LCL, I'm so impressed with how you've stuck to this UD/DD plan. Your results are inspiring.

I'm TOTALLY the same way about weighing! If I don't lose I want to cheat, if I do lose I feel confident and so I want to reward myself with food. Which is just such a lame way of thinking, I totally admit it. I used to be a daily weigher but it was really causing all sorts of bad habits, so I've slowed it down to once a week now. I wish I could do it once a month, but then that tends to have the opposite effect on me too because I figure I have a whole month to show a loss so I can go ahead and cheat a little now as long as I get it off before weigh in.

I'm a mess, I know. hahaha

Anyhow, I'm doing a juice day today.
Actually, juice plus coffee. I know that defeats the purpose of juicing..lol...but it's the only thing that works for me. If I don't have coffee, I"m STARVING.

B: carrot/ginger/beet juice
L: Mean green juice
S: Mean green juice
D: Mean green juice

Exercise: 30 minutes walking
Water: 120 ounces

Kitty I'm with you....I am going to do whatever it takes to fit into my clothes.
...tomorrow is going to be rough...I am back to work and can't wear my sweats. Not only sweats...but my FAT sweats!!! Clothing has been a horrible sticking point lately and even THAT doesn't motivate me very well...I am so annoyed with myself right now

Yay Beach!!! Two pounds down already! I wouldn't be surprised if you drop 5 more by this time next week. If not more.

I totally hear you on the fat sweats. That's when I REALLY know I'm getting out of control...when I'm dreading leaving the house because it means putting on real clothes and I have none that fit comfortably.

Just a few more days and your clothes will start feeling better.

Great job with the exercise and the 2 pound loss, Beach!
You will be at goal before you know it.

This is a hard time of the year, but we can do it!

Amity it always helps when you can get the DH on board!!!

I recently got my DH into juicing, so I can totally juice at dinner time and he loves it too. That means I only have to cook dinner for the kids, which makes it easier for me to stay on plan. He, of course, eats whatever he wants for lunch when he's at work, but he's still dropping a ton of weight while I'm stalling. So not fair how much easier it is for men.

Hi all. Goal is a solid 135 by the end of this. I am smack dab in the middle of a midlife crisis. Want to run away and live on a beach with no clothes or responsibilities.

Good Luck to everyone!!! So glad to see people sticking by challenge after challenge.

Welcome Rebecca!!!

Hows everyone doing today? Doing good so far.

Food has been spot on and just finished doing c25k.

Now I need a shower but maybe after I watch last nights walking dead.

FF- I was thinking about juicing, which machine do you use? and does it grind up the whole veg/ fruit?

Eeeeeeeek!!! I haven't checked in since mid week last week. I accepted a new position within the agency so I've been extremely busy trying to finish up my current job. I start the new one next Thursday and I am super super excited!!! Should be wayyyy less stressful and I've been wanting this to open for a really long time.

LCL - I saw that you made your goal for the last challenge, awesome job!!!

hey to everyone else - I'll go back and read the posts when I can...

I took the last two weeks off to reward myself for staying on plan so many days in a row. I am actually down a little bit as of this morning so that's good. I'm back at lc today though and my new goal is to not cheat until Christmas and be down another 15 pounds by then to 165. We'll see .

I am really apprehensive to do this...........but I want to try.........
I have been so completely unfocused since summer! I am good for a few days, drop a little weight and BAM! I'm bad for a few days! Up and down with the same pounds over and over again. What's it gonna take for me to get back on plan and reach my goal? Somebody kick me in the rear!

I won't even tell you what I've eaten today! Will start fresh from this moment!

I would love to see 150 on Christmas morning!

Susan, you've come to the right place. We can definitely relate! All of us have done the same thing, time and time again.

It really is easier to stick to it when others are doing it with you though, so we're here for you! Lots of time for us to lose some weight and enjoy our holiday season more because we won't feel like beached whales.
