I may weigh tomorrow....I think Ive got a whoosh coming.....Im consistently exercising 420 min a week.....and eating well...that's my real goal.. I joined this challenge because I get that weighing is important for accountability...I love that this challenge isn't for a specific amount of weight ( Im a slow loser) but is just looking to lose some...

I love watching on some of the more ambitious challenges ..but I know Id be setting myself up for disappointment...

You have to know what works for you. I have been following another thread forever. I am in a secret battle with someone and she doesnt even know it lololol. We were within a few pounds of each other a year or so back. I use her to motivate me.

Good low carb eating only done. The eating every 3 hours is impossible for me for some reason. I have to buckle down.

OMG Olda you just made me spit out my coffee!

"I'm in a secret battle with someone and she doesn't even know it"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH

I love you.

Also, I ordered that beach body thing....and then never even opened the package. Learn from me....lol

I'm on vacation. I'll be back Sunday. My best friend knows I'm dieting so she has vowed to keep me from caving in and eating anything carby.

Wish me luck!

I think I may step in the scale soon... I have been so good.
I would be devistated if I didn't lose though!

I don't remember what I put as this challenge goal... Maybe anywhere in the 150's?

I don't know if I am anywhere near that ...

Nice Job Deb!!! size 6 and 5'9. Nice!!!! Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend.
Thanks for the reality check FF
And Beach, we are close in weight again! My scale is stuck at 144.5. I really need to start Monday. Going grocery shopping today to get prepared. (I am embarrassed to continually talk about starting and not doing it so hopefully I will follow through.)

you can do it Olda!!!! Join me...or do 2 weeks and jump off for the holidays then go back...that's what I'm doing. I'm going back on after Christmas...I want to get to the low 140s (at least)

I am down a total of 11 pounds
...but I'm still just over 150 wanting to bust thru to the 140s by the time I take a break....that's like 3 more pounds in the next week and a half ...and I would be happier still if I got more...147 and I fit in the majority of my clothes

My husband's Christmas work party is tonight...<yawn> he's a director so we have to go...Im am proud of him and go without complaint...but Lord have mercy past a certain point...its dancing on the tables and lampshade hat time...we leave after the raffles but that's after when the "fun begins". My husband stays sober...does his schmoozing part..we eat mediocre food...( fortunately)..we both are uncomfortable at the antics...don't think for a moment professional well educated people have anymore sense of decorum than anyone else..if it were friends Im not sure it would matter...but on Mon morning they work together again..
Ive allowed my self 2 glasses of wine..over the 3 hrs we will be there...not enough to unleash my inner carb crazy..

We did get a hotel room to have a little "special time".. Bringing almonds for snack.

another day...ho-hum

Olda....are you going to do this tomorrow?
I think I have at least another week, if not two, in me (I'd like another 3-5 pounds) and 28 days are over this Tuesday. If I do one more week, I'll likely only get another pound or two...if I do two more weeks...I can finish on December 23rd and get closer to my mini-goal of high 140s for Christmas
I'm not sure how to transition into P4 but I will likely drink wine on Christmas Eve so....idk what to do..
After Christmas, I plan to jump back into this

I keep thinking a break is good...but I don't want too long of a break because I will lose momentum; so maybe starting back the Monday after Christmas which gives me a one week break
From there...my goal is to get solidly to 140 (if not lower)
That would be an additional 10ish pounds which sounds doable

Honestly...this diet is so easy (other than P2) to eat this way forever...I mean...really easy. I am not a fan of restaurants so I rarely eat out. I am picky about food, and like the choices...the mix between P1 and P3 is the ideal diet for me anyway. I also don't really crave alcohol (I mean, I sometimes do, but if I am allowed a drink or two...great! I will miss beer; however but I will not miss my beer belly

ok, a million dollars spent at Whole Foods, cooked chicken cutlets, black rice, ground turkey, asparagus soup. Meal plan filled out for the whole week. My refrigerator is busting at its seams so I positively MUST eat on plan all week. There is no other option. Setting myself up for success!!!

How did the Christmas party go Deb?

Beach, I completely and totally agree about everything you said. It was the absolute easiest thing to stay on plan. I have been off it for too long and cant remember how great I felt on it anymore. I think its so funny how tortuous p2 is and its how I ate forever.

2 week... thats my goal. That should knock me back into the high 130s. It would be great to start New Years not dreading my weight.

Bring on Monday!!!!

Did well at the party....totally on plan...1 glass of wine...lots of water...decaf...
a little nutty but not enough for drama....
Came home this morning feeling great ...energized....
Our breakfast at the restaurant was awesome...scrambled eggs with cheese veggies....and turkey sausage and a sl. of melon..not sure what to do with lunch..Im still not hungry.. so Im not sure.

Dinner rotisserie chicken
salad w/ ranch
Hot tea maybe

I am looking through my bowflex manual....will try to figure it out this afternoon.. trying to figure out goals..

I ve set out stuff to cook for the week...roast...chicken for a casserole...chicken salad...veggie dishes ( marinated zucc. cauli mash, broc. slaw)...boil eggs for my DH....cut up cheese and beef sausage into snack bags.

Ill fill in with a steak and broiled mahi later in the week.

Weigh in is tomorrow....my guess is Im down...but who knows!

I enjoyed the people at my table...

Thank you for asking..
Im with you ..let the MONDAY come..Im ready!!!

I too must plan in advanced...the weekdays get so crazy if I don't have a plan I don't do well...

Im not confident enough on the scale numbers to set a goal...but Id love to be abt 161-163 ....

yay....I'm happy everyone is on board.

It sounds like you are totally prepared Olda.
I love P3...my favorite breakfast is the egg with sweet potato fries (made into hashbrowns) <---Haylies recipe...I either eat toast with cooked blueberries or have oats with berries.
I also love Spaghetti squash with a meatball...of course that is P1 and P3 and I add olives on the side for P3.
My new favorite is coconut milk peach ice cream it makes me like peaches (it does not freeze well)
I really prefer the fruit on Phase 1...but I like having the fat in P3...I can totally do the peach ice cream though

tonight I will be making meatloaf I love it for both phases...I need to make some Quinoa and rice also...and grill some chicken. I think I might try to make chicken jerkey. The beef was ok, but I am just not a fan of been anymore and it was way too tough...that is for P2 of course but it takes a few days

Sounds like a good time, Deb....onward, right?

Hey, I have been around-just have been sick.
I haven't wanted to eat much, which made my DD's really easy.

I am glad you are all doing so well. 11 pounds is amazing Beach!

I haven't weighed yet. I may just wait until a week or so before any Christmas parties ( before I put all the weight back on!!! )

hahahahaha...well...thanks
I have to say for 28 days...not bad. I was actually going to weigh in today but It's still P3 so I am afraid to look so I didn't.

Tomorrow, another 7 days of 'on plan,' so I will see what 35 days bring
then maybe 42 days
I think after Christmas, I will modify P1 and P3 until the 30th and will start again. Depending on my hubby's Christmas dinner at work, I might end up only doing the 35 days and modifying...there are really NO GOOD options at a Japanese Hibachi...too much soy, to much msg, too many bad carbs

I take it as it comes, now!

I love quick fixes...they just didn't love me hcg was a quick fix...but I eventually gained the weight (a lot of it) back. My relationship with food has now changed and my mentality as well. I think the famine way I lived before messed with my head. I love how I'm eating now (and losing) slow sucks...but maybe I can keep it off and eat normal...I love the food I eat now, so it is incentive to keep going.

congrats on the near 1 pound loss
