May I join? I've got until Dec 4th to lose the 10 lbs I've gained back since I last saw my Mom. I do great during the week, and Friday I start slipping. By Sunday I'm a carb monster. This is the week I'm gonna get back on track for good!

Weekends are definitely difficult. I try to do anything possible to keep my mind off of carbs on weekends. If you feel yourself about to cheat, come in here and post first and we'll talk you down.

Hi all,

I blew the last challenge and if it wasn't for Margaret I'd probably still be MIA so I want to send her a big hug and thanks for taking the time to reach out to me.

The last thing I said to the group was that my work schedule was crazy and the extra work/stress has led to a loss of focus and a gain of probably around 5 pounds in a short time. I hit the Halloween candy and acted like it didn't even matter but in fact it's been a big setback for me because I was totally off sugar this summer and felt amazing.

So I know I'm making myself feel worse and I've got to reboot. I will come back on as soon as I can and post my weight and then use this challenge to get back on track one day at a time. I was frustrated in August that I was not losing but that will be ok with me for November as long as I feel better and more in control.

Happy to be back--just logging on and writing this helps the mindset.

Good morning everyone!
Kitty...recipe? Let's see.
Meg's pumpkin sausage soup.
1 box chicken or veggie broth,
1/2 roll breakfast sausage (hubby ate the other half! I use whatever sausage we have on hand. It's all good)
1 can pumpkin ( what are they 15 oz.)
Onion chopped,
Mushrooms (if you like me, or not)
Cook the sausage, drain if needed. Take out of the pan. Leave a little fat to sauté the mushrooms and onions. When the veggies are soft stir in the can of pumpkin. Then a add the broth and sausage simmer about 20 minutes. Season to taste. I use salt pepper and sometime a little poultry seasoning because I like that sagey flavor, and I always have a box leftover from thanksgiving that I don't know what to do with". . Oh! And if you like, swirl in a bit of heavy cream at the end. Yum!
Let me know if you try it. It's definitely a great low carb lunch or snack!
5 days down on the challenge. Can't wait to weigh on Saturday to see where I am! I have been peeing a lot. That's a good sign,right!
Plan for today
One minute muffin...I'm making it with pumpkin. Total experiment. I'll let you know how it comes out. I'm a little pumpkin obsessed if you can't tell!
Pumpkin soup. Chicken salad
Chicken divan recipe that I didn't make on Tuesday. I will report!

I was asked to answer phones at a friends business.. I didn't think I'd be there long, so I didn't take my lunch. BIG mistake!! There was nothing but junk there.. and I caved. So up a lot from last weeks low. WTH is wrong with me?? Lesson learned for next time, and honestly all the guys there weren't thrilled with the piles of junk either, so I might just take a healthier food in with me and make enough for them too. Funny to hear the guys agreeing when I said all this junk was so "junky" LOL!!

Congrats on staying strong ladies!! Looking forward to Saturdays weigh in..

Good morning everyone!
I had another good day. I ate only on plan foods, but in no way did I follow my daily plan. Things got a little nuts so I went for the easy grab items. So maybe I'll try the muffin and chicken divan this weekend instead. If I have a minute to nuke a muffin! Ha! I love my life!
Today I'm in the office so I'm packing my low carb go bag with:
Protein shake
Pumpkin soup
Taco salad fixings
Baby carrots
Cheese stick
I won't eat it all, and who knows what order it goes in. I've been having a hard time getting dinner in at home when I go into the office, so I'm trying to get more in during the day.

Weigh in day! Hope everyone does great! But if the scale is being a little jerk, don't worry...a week on our challenge is something to celebrate!
So...201.8!!! That's 5.2 lbs! I know it's all water, and I know next week won't be so much, but I am thrilled. 2 lbs and I am in Onderland! I can feel it!
It's early, and I don't have my whole plan together yet...but roughly!
Breakfast
Eggs, bacon
Lunch
Pumpkin soup
Dinner
Steak and some kind of veggie...or maybe a burger...or...we'll see. But something meat veggie.
I may make a pumpkin bake too for a treat.
Have a great day. Can't wait to see your weigh in results.

Had a Coors Light yesterday afternoon at Copper Mtn. We went to the official naming of the U.S. Ski Team and my kids were in line forever getting the team to sign their helmets. Couldn't help myself....Then had rice with my tacos last night. Today will be a better day.

Hi everyone. Starting our challenge week 2 ! Yay us! Looks like we all lost something...every bit counts! Let's keep it up! We have to get our best work in before turkey day!
I'm driving to my parents today. Baby J and I are spending a few days. My dad has surgery on Tuesday, and I don't want my mom to be alone. I will be working remotely, and if all goes well, I'll be back in the office on Tuesday. I'm packing up a bunch of low carb staples and will do my best, but I'm not going to stress too much. I'm so close to passing the threshold into Onderland, that I have a lot of motivation to stay the course! If I play my cards right, I'll be there at out next weigh in.
I'll try checking in when I can! Have a great week ladies!
