anyone thinking of goals for the new year??

I plan on getting back weight wise to where I was...
and journaling

going to stay with my group RX class twice a week and cardio 4 times a week..sat's off

have it writtin in my journal ..now to lock it into my brain

I know I can do fine as long as I ration the wine and NO snacking after suppers

think I should make a plan to do my hall checks and outside building checks at nite after supper instead of getting lazy

whats your plans guys

V- sounds like you had some excitement at your airport. It was real slick this morning. Then it rained all day. Now the temps are dropping and we are starting to get a mix. 1-2 " snow. But it will pop up into the 50's next week. So the end is in sight!

Deb I haven't made any new resolutions. Just hanging in there for now.

Karen -not superstitious but it is fun to watch those that are

Staying home again this weekend. DH will probably run to the LH Sunday to make sure everything is ok. I won't be going back until the septic is working. And I don't think they will work till the weather is better.

Made it thru another week.....only I already have list of clients I want to finish up this weekend when there are no interruptions or phone calls!!!

But that would make next week run with much less stress. I hate it when I spend all my time stressing because I have too much to do and it isn't working.

Deer hunting at my house today, so I probably will get Gma duty. But in where it is warm. New office is big enough we have a toy box and I can lock door from the inside

(and this morning I did find 3 Xmas gifts I bought back in October)
and DH found $2000 cash he had moved when we left for a few days, and couldn't remember what he did with it

Karen- Wow.. on DH finding the lost money! That is a nice surprise. I hate the stress of trying to get on top of things when there are not enough hours in the day to do it. I hope you can enjoy some of your weekend, and maybe relax a little.

Cheryl- Yes, we had our own terrorist wannabe right here in Wichita. It is scary and shocking, because he does not seem like someone that would harbor such horrible intentions. But, I guess we never know what is going on in other people's hearts and minds. I am glad they caught him before he could carry out his intentions. It is sad for his family though as they did not know he was planning such a thing.

Deb- I guess it is time to start thinking of 2014 goals. I am going to work on a specific list. Losing weight is the obvious one, but that will do me no good unless I change my habits.

I will be home alone for much of the day today. DH will be at a funeral for a UPS co worker who died rather suddenly last week. My son will be at a college basketball game with his big sister. So, I will use my time wisely and do some catch up.

Well I thought I posted on here yesterday and I must not have hit post. Well going to be a busy weekend I we to christmas partys to go to. Tonight is the one for the Fire Department. DH is feeling better and getting stitches out Wed. Can't believe I keep gaining weight and I'm really watching what I eat. Started back journal every bite today.

Deb I do chicken in buttermilk is does make it moist also I use mayo and it does the same thing only a better flavor. That cabbage is delish but I had to cook mine longer and used the left over to add to vegi soup. Goals for me this coming New Year is to get to goal by spring. And do plenty of exercise. Probably think of more, but that's my main goals

V love your new avi. Is that your GD? so cute. Nice to get the extra money and help your sister at the same time. I love cleaning so my friend and I open up our own cleaning business during the summer months. The clients are only here for the summer. Nice extra cash.

Cheryl tks DH is feeling much better and healing up nicely. We will be going to Boston in Jan for a date to do the cancer in the ear canal. Then back to normal around here I hope. Need a mental break. Get a big snow storm the is weekend. It's already started to snow. Supposed to get over a foot. Be careful when you go out. I hate a rain and snow mix with the temps dropping. Alot of accidents.

Karen wow nice finding the money and just before christmas. I still can't find 2 gifts I back a few months ago. I know what they are but not where I put them. Do you have any of your workers in to help you this weekend?? Would be nice.

Misty I'm glad DH is feeling better. That has to be a relief. How's the snow storm?

Karen my nephew brought me some spicy deer jerky. It was good!

V are you thawed out? We finally are! And the 50's this week! I am enjoying some sorta alone time. DH went to check the LH and nephew is asleep

Deb how did the casino brunch and hair color go?

Pat I hope you are sweating while we have been shivering. Keep us posted on your friends progress

Jo in case you are reading. Miss you. Take care of yourself.

DH said everything made it thru the cold. No power out so no frozen pipes

Okay so now that Emmalee's Nutcracker crazy is over, I can breathe a lil easier Mark and I spent all day Sat volunteering /helping dancers in the food room. Yesterday we got to enjoy watching the performance and it was spectacular! The guest dancers from the Pennsylvania Ballet were AMAZING!!!

I went to doc for a BP check and it is STILL high Thus ordering WL and exercise. I def do NOT want to have to take meds, so this isnt an option but a must now.

So much to do and not sure where to start.

*I got both trees up and decorated thanks to my lil helper and ordered gifts online...only a few left to buy for.

*Still working on a scarf for DH. He complained that Im always making things for others and he wanted a scarf LOL I just never thought he wanted one!

*Not sure what we r doing for Christmas dinner yet...thinking of doing a nice ham this year

For now, I'm off to do my steps and listen in on Emma's classes. She has been getting lazy and Ive been catching her off task and daydreaming too many times.

Didn't mean to write a book, but wanted to do a proper catch-up. I miss u guys, and I HATE being away...just not enough time to do all I want at this moment

I am trying to start the week off strong... Took a nice walk with dh yesterday and was at the gym with dd at 5:30 this a.m.

Cheryl- We are thawed out as well and rocking some nice spring temps, which makes me very happy. I guess it will last most of the week and then change back to wet and cold on the weekend. They are reporting on the news that we had an earthquake here in Kansas this morning south of us near Oklahoma border.. 4.2 strength. I did not feel a thing.

Misty- Yep, that is my GD.. first one, and man I am enjoying her. Nice to have the cleaning cash in my pocket, but my sis sure makes me earn it. They are a mess! I hope your summer clients are a little bit easier...lol.

Lisa- thanks... I think she is pretty cute. She has me wrapped around all of her fingers. Can you tell? I did get some things done while everyone was gone. It was a nice feeling. Sounds like you are getting a bunch of things done yourself!

Deb- so sorry to hear about LB's nephew. Way too young, very sad indeed. So you making some Irish Cream? I made some a few years ago so it would be low carb. It is easy to make without the sugar.. maybe you can share your recipe?? I got a nice little package ready to make its way to Canada.....

Nice to see you Lisa!! That Em sure keeps you going. Cute pix on FB. We are pretty well thawed out now. When do you get to thaw?

Deb mom is doing ok after her fall. The stitches bug her but they don't keep her from talking! sounds like you had a good weekend.

V we feel those tremors sometimes at the LH. You consider that the spin cycle on the washer shakes the place, imagine what a tremor feels like ! a real one happens I will bailing out of that place. your GD is a cutie.

Worked long and hard. This is the last week of that. It was beautiful out today. In the 50's. Sunny. Ahhhhhh.......

Deb- Sorry but you can't be old... cuz then I will be old too.
I am glad she was nice and you could have a nice visit with her. I make my Irish cream with heavy cream... yep... 0 carbs and a million calories. I use some of the Torani sf choc syrup and a little splenda and real vanilla too.
Now about this peppermint schnapps...???

Karen- We do a lot of streaming for TV watching. We still have cable for the local channels but don't really need any pay channels anymore. I really like the vudu service. I buy codes for movies instead of movies and just download them into the vudu account. Then my movie library is all online.
Technology is sure giving us a lot of choices these days.

Cheryl- So sorry about your Mom. Somehow I missed that she had gotten hurt. Hope she is okay. We are still having spring weather.... but snow coming in a couple of days.

If I find time, I am cancelling the satellite today. Then will learn how to use the WiFi. If I have questions, I know this is a good place to come for answers
