Pat.

Chilly here too Deb. It was 6 this morning. We are staying in. Jammie Day.

Karen we didn't get an ice storm. I don't think we got as much snow as the predicted either. I am liking the week thread. I can look back a little at a time.

Over indulged yesterday. Back on track today.

Yeah. I have read it. They are doing it very different from the book. A lot of dessert. Up to 3000 calories in a meal Then nothing else for the day. Too extreme for me. I have dessert but just one piece. I eat what she suggests in the book or in balance like CAD. And I eat lunch and dinner - meat and veg.

Cheryl- congrats on the scale moving in the right direction!! We are in the deep freeze, but only light snow. The wind chill is awful it goes right through my layers of clothes. BRR I hope it doesn't get too messy in your area. There is lots of ice south of us in oklahoma.

Deb- I am getting a little care package for ya today....
Congrats on that scale going down

Speaking of over indulge..... Sister is back so we have Xmas today. I am going to stick to turkey and green bean casserole.
Then this evening is bank Xmas....they pay for steak and lobster with any trimmings you can imagine.... so my eating on plan starts tomorrow

But it is below 0 temps outside, so just doing horse chores is going to take a few calories....

OK.....time for sneaky cooking today. In an effort to make family-acceptable foods more healthy choices for me.....(plus it is sooooo blessed cold outside, I didn't want to drive to town to work office for an hour before Xmas dinner)

green bean and mushroom casserole----put tablespoon of chia seeds on top of soup to be later covered up by the durkee onions...

fixed pumpkin pie filling, but put in baking dish with light coating of almond flour on the bottom instead of a crust....(and snuck in 2 tablespoons of flax meal. See if DH can detect that!!!)

Mom is having turkey, so if I eat what I take, along with the turkey, the lobster and steak tonight might not be as damaging

I am basically quitting on Christmas shopping......what I've got is what they get Sister flies out Wednesday, so then back to normal.

DH designated to take GS 2-yr old out and find a nice Red Cedar tree in a road ditch somewhere for tree. Havent had a tree at my house for 3 yrs......too busy with new business

That is a current update on my holiday workings. How is everyone else doing?

you stand on it and it shakes every little bit of fat you have on your body

it does burn calories and there is a chart that shows different exercises you can do on it....

DH went out to check out back roads. Said they are slick as snot ok once you get to the main road but that is several miles of hills away. Think I will stay home for now.

Deb. Shake it baby!!

Karen just enjoy your sister and Christmas. That's what I'm trying to do. Small servings when I do indulge. Mostly. I like your sneaky cooking. Let us know if you were found out.

We are up in the 20's today ! Feeding the poor birdies. Watching Netflix. Another Jammie day.

I did most of my Christmas shopping online. After I fight the crowds trying to get my work done I don't want to fight to buy.

Deb how was the escargot?

Misty

Good Sunday afternoon everyone! We have been in the deep freeze all week but this morning we started to get freezing drizzle. So the roads are very dangerous and many accidents all over the place. I will be staying home all day. Catching up on housework and laundry. I will be heating up some veggie stew for lunch/dinner later this afternoon. I have not weighed in today, will probably do that tomorrow morning. Drinking lots of water today and feeling pretty good.

Deb- love all the pics you posted! Umm.. not sure about the shaker machine.. that would be a whole lot of shaking for me.

I hope everyone is having a safe, warm weekend.

Vandy the shaker machine DOES shake everything
it has a speed toggle on it too..if you turn it way up im sure it shakes your eye lids

cant be a pretty sight ..I always make sure I have my face to the wall so I cant see who is looking at me,but it sure makes your body feel good

Cheryl I over cooked the snails and wrecked them
We are kinda taking it easy today..and we have about 1000 birds at the freaeer on our deck..they must get a chill on their little feet sitting on the pegs

stay warm !!!

Nobody blinked an eye at the chia seed added to green bean casserole. The pumpkin dessert is great....but DH hasn't tried it yet. Waiting on if he picks up on something different. My bet is he wont. I just have to remember to sneak things into food

I have been sleeping 8-11 hours straight every nite for the past few days

fresh snow on the ground and more coming..i kinda like it because we are in charge of keeping the side walks and entrances to the building clear so we get out a few times a day together

Funny Pic Deb!..lol. Good for you getting up early for the workout. That is what always works best for me. I've been bad about working out lately.. not in the mood. Definitely looking like the last dog in the pic.

Today I am making some low carb chili. I am using the recipe that was posted here with a few tweaks of my own. I am going to add some of my zucchini that I have in the freezer. That plus the mushrooms, peppers and onions will make it nice and chunky. I think I will add some jalapenos today as well... my head is stuffed up and I think that will open it up..lol.
