I think we all can use support during the upcoming holidays. I know I can. This year Thanksgiving is at my house and although each family is supposed to bring a dish, I will be cooking a lot of non-lc foods for everyone, and making special LC food for me. I am going to start preparing the menu today. Great time to clean out my cupboards of all non-lc food!

I'm in! Am going to family out-of town for Thanksgiving for several days with little control over menu. Am taking raw veggies LC Blue Cheese Dip, cold shrimp, hard-boiled eggs, etc to tide me over the CERTAIN hi-carb foods.

:hiya: Hi, I'd like to join in too! I've been going up and down the same 6 lbs for the past 3 months and my motivation lately has been waning, no matter how many times I try to self-talk myself into good behavior! I'm nervous about getting completely derailed over the holidays. The Halloween treats my coworkers are bringing to the office have already kicked the holiday eating season off! :eek: This challenge is just what I need... :)

Hey Grammy, just noticed we are in the same state. I am down Macon way. Good idea about bringing some things with you. Maybe even make a LC dessert.

We got some more challengers - Yeah! Welcome everyone.

Krazy cat, I'm not to bad with Halloween except if my kids get snickers bars. So I have told them to not let me see them this year. DH will have to check their bags. How about bringing in some LC cookies to work. LS has some that are pretty good if you are not in Induction.

Definitely not muscle as I haven't exercised at all, but it could be water weight. Hopefully!

Just checking in and coming clean! Went to a wedding this past weekend and ate plenty of carbs. :o And once I indulge, it's so hard to get back on track. I'm posting yesterday's weight, which thankfully is still below my challenge starting weight! I spent some time on these boards on Sunday evening to help my motivation and I feel it really helped. :) I'm feeling re-energized and ready to tackle this challenge!! Sticking to my LC plan, eating healthy, nutritious foods and hopefully losing 15lbs in the process would be the best Christmas present I could ask for and an awesome start to 2014!

Onward ladies!!! We can do this! :high5:

I guess I am finally over whatever was going wrong. I thought I weighed in yesterday, but looking through here I did not. Well my weight yesterday was 184.4. UGGGH. But this morning wahlah!...it's gone. The only thing I could figure out was I ate two Mcdonald's cheeseburgers - no bun- over the weekend. First time I had fast food since starting, so maybe that caused the upward fluctuations. Anyways, glad to see it finally moving down.

Melissa--I'm willing to bet the gain was from the burgers...I tend to bounce up everytime I eat fast food like that.. so glad it's gone! :up:

Lets try this again.. Had a Halloween party and then binged on Sunday like the world was going to end on Monday. Ended up gaining 3.5lbs over the weekend. Back down to where I was Halloween day, so I shall call this post.. Lose 15lbs by Dec 31st - Take II. Man that's going to be a challenge in less than 2 months, but I got this!!!
