Ugh. Not gonna hit 204.2 by Thursday I think. Will be first week I've ended up not losing since I've been on diet.

Congrats on 10 lbs Mjgh!

Danielle, I'll start signing as Dee...

Had some running after work yesterday, wore my new 16 jeans. Noticed they definitely felt looser than the last time I wore them even though the scales have been up.

Been reading a lot about eating enough and making sure I don't get into starvation mode. I find it harder to eat than not to eat though. But last night I defrosted a pork steak fairly late and had a large serving.

This morning I woke 2 hours too early and couldn't get back to sleep. Weighed myself and up again from yesterday by 1.2 lbs so at 207.6. Since I didn't sleep enough and ate so much so late I knew that was why but felt lighter anyway. I decided to measure and found that I was down 1 inch each in my waist, hips and thigh from last Tuesday (8 days ago). That's the best measure loss in that space of time since starting. Obviously shuttled fat to muscle but I have to wonder why? Still hate to see the scales up but with the inches gone have to feel good. Will be interesting to see when and how fast the scales move back down. Plan to make a rump roast today, and eat my normal VLC but a bit extra. Gonna keep shaking things up by eating differently each day.

Start Date Aug 2013
Start Weigh: 243
Challenge Start Date 10/24
Challenge Start Weight 213
Current Weight: 207.6 (up 1.2 from yesterday)
Dec. 31st Goal: 198

Down 1.6 from yesterday but still almost 2lbs up from Thanksgiving. Will see what it's like in another week or so and decide from there whether the carb up helped or hindered. Did have good energy yesterday I think was from the extra protein the night before.

Eating more protein still, and feeling good with good energy. Trying to decide whether to push myself back into losing or wait and see if I start to lose again. Considering doing fat fasts more frequently but only one day at a time.

Really, really, really wanna see 199 before Christmas. Back to making vinegar chicken, there really seems to be something about it that helps me lose. Had some yesterday. Froze the roast beef I made before.

Grats Nikki! Would love another whoosh of my own soon.

Danielle, coming down nicely for you. You've got this even with Christmas.

Wow, look at all the pounds down. Folks are pushing to the finish line I think. Thanksgiving hung on to my thighs longer than I hoped, but I've got it almost pushed out the door.

You are doing really well Dee.

There are a lot of Great losses here - COngrats to everyone! When you really think about it losing 1 pound is a lot. I picture a tub of butter - now that's a lot and we've all lost more than that!

Thanks Mjgh! The butter comparison is great, wow, I've trimmed off like 40 lbs of butter since starting. That's a lot! I see that you are hitting new lows too!

Start Date Aug 2013
Start Weigh: 243
Challenge Start Date 10/24
Challenge Start Weight 213
Current Weight: 203.2
Dec. 31st Goal: 198

I swear there is something magical about my vinegar chicken. Maybe it's dehydrating? Or I'm finally losing the water from Thanksgiving? Also, my digital scale acted weird today. Was jumping all over the place but seemed to stick at 203.2 the longest, which I'll take!

Dee

Think I was a bit higher than it registered yesterday, today is probably accurate.

Anyway, 10 lbs down for this challenge. 5 to go. Judging by Thanksgiving, if I don't hit goal by Christmas eve, I won't make it. So really pushing to hit beforehand as I do intend to indulge for the holiday.

I'm right there with you, Dee.. totally questioning whether I'll hit that 15 by year's end.. If I have another week like I had last week with the bounces I definitely won't hit it.. At this point I am trying to remember that any loss during the month of December is good progress and a far cry where I've been during the holidays.

Well, I figure if I get there before it still counts right? Even if I'm not there at the end?

Mjgh...you set your goal too high right? You'd only have 2 lbs if you went with the 15?

Yes Dee - I don't know how I figured 165 was 15lbs from 184. Bad math.

TOM has hit so I will probably gain again the rest of the week. Now I know why I have been craving PB so much the last two days.
