Thanks! I am starting Atkins combined with an exercise program. I have heard that a lot of people have good results from this diet and really want to get healthy in the next year.

Up a teensy bit today, and so hoped to see 204.0. If I don't taste my nog and pie today it's possible to hit it before I start to splurge tomorrow. Or I could fat fast today, but I don't think I should as I just did one a couple days ago. I've been eating less though again lately and I should know better but it's really hard to eat hardy on this diet.

Happy Thanksgiving US Folks!

Tried my first mid-week 'Up Day' after a couple of super low cal/carb days Monday/Tuesday.. Ate about 1600cal and 60 carbs (not too bad since I had a dry ribs, wings, a glass of wine and bit of poutine! (Poutine is a big thing in Canada - Fries, Gravy & Cheese.. DELISH!!)
Got up this morning fearing the worst and ended up with no gain! Pleasant surprise!
Down Day today so Iíll be fasting most the day with a light dinner of Pork Chops and Edamame. Hereís hoping it will cause a whoosh and Iíll show some loss from my last Friday weigh in!

Last night made and drank egg nog. It was yummy. Made pumpkin pie too. Cooking turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, etc., today. Will have as much as I desire, plus lots of egg nog and pie, but then after today back to diet, with lots of leftover turkey to eat.

I've realized it's good I wasn't comfortably under 200 yet as I'll be just that much more motived to get back on the wagon quickly and get those pounds down fast before Christmas feasting.

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!
Tried out the Up Day/Down Day methods this week. Some things I liked, some things I didnít..
Only a .5 loss this week. I was hoping for a bigger loss but I really did have quite a lot of Ďno noí foods, AND on my Down Day yesterday we ended up having a friend come into town and met him for a couple of glasses of wine quite late in the evening which I am sure added some water weight to this mornings weigh in.
Havenít decided if I am going to keep on this method, guess weíll see how this weekend goes and decide from there!
Itís been slow going these last few weeks but I am so close to both being out of the 150ís and down 5lbs for this challenge, so I am hell bent and determined to hit 148 next week! That will be a total of 20lbs lost since I started in Sept.

I am going in the wrong direction - I have looked back over my diet calendar and it is definitely the fast food burgers. I have had McD's twice this month and BK once - never with bun of course. But it seems I gain two pounds at least two days after eating out. So no more eating out.

Enjoyed Thanksgiving a great deal. Saw what I expected on the scale. I did feel like a fat fast would work well today so doing that. Totally out of ketosis. Will check late tonight to see if back in ketosis yet. Should see the scale move back down quickly over the next few days though.

It's a little late to get in on this challenge but since I am at the beginning of this new effort I thought I might try; I usually lose weight pretty rapidly the first few weeks. There is a slight chance I might actually be able to do it. Or at least get close! So, please count me in.

Fat fast felt good yesterday. Had trace ketos last night and this morning. Lost a good amount of the water gain. Plan to eat normal LC today.

I just started my journey a few days ago and I know my body tolerates low carb very well so I know 15 lbs. by Dec 31 is doable for me.

Thanksgiving threw me a slight curve ball but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting.
