90 days til New Years daily weight/check in challenge

I am determined that Jan 1 2014 will not be yet another year that I vow to lose weight. I would like to reach goal once and for all within the next 90 days. Weigh daily and post here if you want or just check in for accountability. No rules or specific plans do whatever makes you happy

Day- 1/90- 137 lbs.

I joined this forum today I am pretty excited. I need the motivation. I am on day 4 of Atkins induction. I did not see the scale go down at all until this morning. I will wait until tomorrow morning to make sure it isn't a fluke or just water fluctuation.

Thank you for the other response JeanieM. So I'm hesitant of upping my dose if it has that effect - being anxious and panicky makes me eat. I'm on 150 and supposed to increase to 300 shortly. When you say you have tried coming off it but jump back on is that because you feel better being on it?

Also re CAD - can you explain a bit more how you schedule your reward in. Is it once a day, weekly or when the urge hits. Cross your heart you only get the urge for the hour? You don't get the "stuff it might as well run to shop and get anything I want"'? Do you do a morning one like some of the others do on the CAD thread or evening feed? I do agree it's time for me to stop fighting the monster and accept it but control it and stop trying to be perfect.

I remember CAD from YEARS ago..lol.. I think Rachel was on Oprah or Donovan or Donohue ? (the grey haired talk show host)...it hit a spot even then because breakfast was always wrong for me.

I have let myself be convinced that eating low carb would solve my depression/anxiety issues and have stopped taking the wellbutrin a couple of times only to find that I get more depressed and just kind of mull along without any real zeal for life. I do recall being very wired when I first started taking it and that effect wore off rather quickly, so I wouldn't be too worried in your case unless it persists. The higher dose made my anxiety worse but I am fine now at 100 mg. daily.

For me the whole point of the 1 hr. CAD RM is I am having what I want so I don't have the mindset that I better run to the store and get it all now because tomorrow I can't have it. With the one hour limit I eat until I really don't want anymore which works best for me. If I graze on carbs all day I can eat tons more but the one hour limit gets it out of my system and I end up eating less food overall. I had heard of CAD years ago,but didn't really even consciously say to myself that I was going to officially start eating that way, I just kind of stumbled into it after realizing that when I had eaten a lot of carbs in a short time I was not gaining weight and ended up eating less the next day. I also am finding that along with the wellbutrin and exercise the carbs give me a boost especially when I am doing the intermittent fasting. Also some days my CAD RM is simply adding some plain strained yogurt with apple to my low carb dinner, so I am not talking about a regular every day carb fest. On the other hand some days it is a carb fest I eat what I am craving and move on.. no guilt. I can't say strongly enough that it is all MENTAL for me now, if I believe that eating carbs today was a terrible thing and vow that I will never do it again it only makes me do it more.

Interesting.. I can tweak this perhaps with JUDDD but adding a RM to my UD which may boost the next day's lower calorie count and aid in AS. I still like JUDDD and the health benefits that came with it, but perhaps allowing myself a RM within an hour on the UD's would not precipitate the binges.

You only need to count your DD's and then you would have some set menus/foods that equal 500 calories just to make the DD's easier and predictable. Most JUDDers don't count their UD's - I didn't and I lost and maintained, despite some crazy UD's. It's still a great WOE that I want to return to.

Jeanie, I agree with Mojo. You can have set of menus to make it easier. But of course you have to be comfortable with the whole idea.

Good idea! You can also start with higher DD calories.
