Hi snowboarding72! Welcome! My clothes have shrunk too. It must be something in the water. lol One of my brothers lives in Marietta and I lived in Alabama for 30 years, Huntsville and then Gulf Shores.

I am doing an egg fast today. Hard boiled eggs and plain green tea. No salt. Will probably just do this for one day.

Tony, glad you are keeping your nose to the grindstone and got your homework all done! DH had another therapy session yesterday. I am hoping they are giving him the pep talk he needs to keep making himself do the exercises at home too.

Miss hearing from Turtle, Mimsey, FF and Bec!

Have a great day Blitzers!

your stuck with me abi...i ain't goin' nowhere, although you probably wish i would sometimes...haha!

snowy!...looks as if you and i wanna lose similar amounts of weight, so we can egg each other on - countdown from 40...lol...we are very supportive and non-judgmental here, so if your looking for a big kick in the butt, we ain't those folks...hope you stick around...we seem to gain and lose blitzers regularly and i'm not sure why...if it's cuz we aren't strict enough, or we babble too much about our personal lives or what...

but we are good people and good friends and we love meeting new people and we look forward to getting to know you...

okay, back to work now...

Welcome, Shelby! It will be nice to get to know you.

Ok, so what's with tuna? I had a tuna in my salad yesterday. I've been on plan so far for 2 days. I'm hoping to get some good news on the scale on Monday.

Tony, what Sarah did was so sweet! You have a terrific family. It's so nice to hear about one that hasn't broken apart.

DH is getting the oil changed in my car today so I have to take his truck. You know, the one where I have to sit on a pillow and have one behind me to reach the gas peddle. lol
And it's just a little truck!

So I need to get myself situated and get going.

I have chicken packed today for lunch. Yesteday it was hard boiled eggs and I about drove everyone out of the break room!

We had a little sleet on the way to work yesterday. Tony, did you have anything over on your side of the state?

Have a great day all!

Tony – I definitely should have followed your advice about drinking more fluids, but alas I went down the road of comfort food. Hopefully today will be the day I pull myself back out of the creepy carb cycle.
Abi – You sound like you are doing great with your meals!
Shelby – Welcome!
Marilee – I think that I need to get back to the tuna. I really have not excuse not to. I have about 4 cans in my desk!

I am trying to get back on track again today. I have had a few days off plan and am feeling the repercussions of that.

Oh yeah...everyone seems to be well today!

Happy Halloween!

Ok, so I stopped at the store this morning to get some turkey breast for snacking and you won't believe this....the office building across from the store had Christmas decorations out and lit!!!!! That's just WRONG! I love the start of the holiday season, which for me begins today. And, I love Thanksgiving. To start Christmas now is sacrilege. I remember when I was young and we lived in Chicago, we would go downtown the day after Thanksgiving and the stores and been transformed overnight from regular display windows to animated North Pole scenes; scenes of families around their Christmas trees by the fire opening presents, etc. It was magical. I'm sad that people don't get to experience that much anymore. I think they still do that in NYC, but I'm not sure.

On plan, feeling good, getting a bit of hope talking to the counselor. Just having someone to talk to is wonderful. Dropped 3 pounds already...I hope it sticks for the official Monday weigh in

I changed my picture to show the pile up that occured between Phoenix and Tucson the other night when one of our dust storms hit. Zero visibility, 5 dead, 19 injured. It's pretty scary.

i saw that on the news marilee, it was awful...i understood how it could happen as we got caught in a dust storm when we were in arizona one time...kinda cool when you've never seen one, but obviously dangerous!...i'm so proud of your progress kid, and so happy you are benefiting from the counseling... :-)

ff, so so so so so good to see you buddy...i miss you...sorry you still have not found relief, but i hope they get it sorted out next week...

hi lori!...don't sweat the temporary detour - you're gonna do fine...it only takes one good day to feel so much better...

good day today:
b: skipped
l: stew beef
d: stew beef

emmy and her hubby came for dinner as did my buddy and my two oldest sons...very nice...

didn't make it to the gym today so gonna try in the morning - i have a meeting at the bldg at 11:15, so if i make the gym, it will have to be early...

Good luck FF that the x rays show something easily treatable. Sorry the third pain killer is not helping either. Look forward to hearing from you next week!

Marilee, what a horrible accident. I fear hitting thick fog for the same reason. You just don't know what it ahead. Speaking of Christmas decorations, I saw a house yesterday not far from where we live with their Christmas lights on their house already!

I can't remember if I posted a picture of my supervisor last halloween who had made his own Captain America costume. Well I am not in his dept. this year but he came in dressed as Gene Simmons of the group Kiss. Again, he sewed and made his whole costume. He was going to the Whetstone Station Restaurant in Brattleboro last night for their costume contest. Tony, I think you know where that is. He is very artistic and does fantastic black ink drawings.

I have chicken packed for lunch again.

Have a great day Blitzers!

hey marilee, nothing too dramatic going on here...ds has SATs in the morning and is going to a friend's party at night, so maybe dw and i will have a rare date night tomorrow...i have to paint the underside of my truck tomorrow (dirty job that will have me lying on my back in the street for most of the day!) ... i also will hit the gym...sunday is free at the moment - that's a day that emmy often comes over, but she's been here three days this week, so maybe she won't...we'll see...

today:
b: skipped
l: salad w/ evoo, balsamic vinegar and feta
d: not sure???

good meeting at the building this morning...some folks may want to move their gymnastics business there...it will require a lot of work on my part converting a warehouse into a gym, but it may make sense...i told them to let me know if they would like to proceed...

what's everyone else up to?

Yes, Marilee, it is nice to work with fun people! I got good news yesterday from the plant manager that I can rejoin my fun group making candles again! It is alot more fun than shipping - believe me!

Tony, painting the underside of your truck all day does not sound like alot of fun. Is this to protect it from salt and rust?

DH and his buddy that changed my oil both think I need new tires especially with slippery roads looming on the horizon. Ugh. $$$$

Not much going on today. I have plenty to do around the house.

Lori, hope you are feeling well now. Hoping to hear from Turtle, Bec, Mimsy, snowboarding and of course VICKI!!

Have a great day Blitzers!

abs, congrats on getting off the loading dock!...i just had to put 4 new tires on the suv this week - there were steel belts showing through - and emmy's car needs tires too so i will put them on there so she is safe this winter...hey ain't cheap!...

i got great news yesterday too - i guess it's not easy to find mediators willing to take interns, but the women who taught the training course offered me the opportunity to get some experience with them, so i am mediating my first real case with them on tuesday!...i am so psyched...lots of prep work to do, but i'm so happy to be doing it...

should hit the gym today but i may put it off til tomorrow...may hit the hot tub instead...lol...i'll keep you posted as i'm sure you will want to know... ;-)

thanks, abs...i did nothing today except relax...no gym, no work on the truck...i didn't venture father from the house than the hot tub off the edge of the deck!...haha

i'm gonna regret not painting the undercarriage as the weather was perfect today to do it...and yes, it is to inhibit the rusting process that has started...now i gotta wait for a day when my ambition matches the weather :-)

hope y'all had a great day...don't forget to turn the clocks back...marilee, do you do that out there - i know parts of arizona have their own rules!

Ha Ha, I can't believe I didn't post either. I think day light savings had me confused. lol

Tony, glad your day was very relaxing yesterday. Sometimes all we should do is just soak in a hot tub. aaaaah

Had a great breakfast at the backside. Sil, niece, her husband were there for breakfast and my brother came for just coffee. He had a memorial service to go to north of Rutland. Talked to a good friend on Cape Cod, stopped by to visit my "father in law". and experimented with a low carb recipe I saw on line. So it has been a nice day.

I am all excited to get back to my old job making candles in the morning.

Hope all the blitzers have had a good day!

I'm looking forward to working at the wax museum today. I will try not to act too happy around the shipping group.

Just cooked up some ground beef and dropped in a baby bell cheese wedge which will be like a cream sauce when I nuke it. It is the chipotle flavored one. Very mild but still a nice flavor to it.

Hope all the Blitzers had a great weekend and hope to hear from everyone today!

Hey Abi! I know you are at work now, so I hope you had a great day today!

No, Tony, Arizona doesn't switch clocks, so we are now Mountain time.

Didn't do anything exciting this weekend - laundry, cleaning, etc. Kind of glad to be back at work

Which, I better get back too.

Hey Tony, remind me again what kind of mediating you will do - family/marriages, right?

marilee, i am hoping to do a wide variety of types of mediation, from family/marriage/divorce to business, small claims, etc...the only thing you can be certified in in nh is family mediation so that is the focus of the training i'm taking, but it is applicable to all types and i have done business mediation in my other career...good to see you, girl!

abs, you were stuck in shipping for quite a while - i'm sure they see you as a versatile team player!...that ground beef sounds good!

where has everyone else been?

gotta run and get some work done...will check back later!

Marilee, I had a great day being back with my group and they seemed happy to have me back. My supervisor said so at least 3 times during the day. It made me feel good.

Tony, lol I guess we are the Three Muskateers. Good luck today on your first mediation experience. We know you will do great!

Free lunch is pizza today so as usual I will eat the tops off two slices.

My brother was asked to donate one of his paintings to our church bazaar on the 22nd and 23rd. He painted a scene from the New Hampshire side of the Connecticut River over to the Brattleboro side with the view of our church, Saint Michael's spire in the background. I am going to buy a bunch of chances to try to win it. lol He named it "Probing Heights and Depths"

Have a great Tuesday Blitzers!

Abi, that picture is beautiful!

You are a very valuable employee and I'm glad that the candle company appreciates you.

Where is everyone else? We miss you!
