Nice day off yesterday.
Massage, Sephora for my birthday gift and a color match, then home and did some stuff around the house as well as watched an epi of Shameless and a couple of Rescue Me.

Open House at work today 2-7......ugh.

How's everyone doing?

Morning!

Lots to do today!

DH is fine...still "leaking." Dr left the stitches in again and DH goes back on the 14th to see how everything is looking.

Today I need to do laundry and go to the grocery store. I also have a little bit of scout stuff to do and some PTA stuff to do.

But first, breakfast with my mom and MIL to start the day.

I can't remember...any Castle watchers?

Good Morning-
My plan was to go to yoga this morning, I piddled in the kitchen and oops, I didn't make it. I'll go for a run instead in a little bit. It's supposed to be hot again today so I better get it done sooner rather than to much later.

Jenn, I've never watched Castle, but it looks interesting. Hope you get a good report on the 14th!

MK, you are right, we should install a revolving door! This is just DH's brother and he's an easy guest. (actually, even when their entire family comes, they are easy guests) He's here for a martial arts tournament so we are just a minor stopping point.

I have bought quite a few things from Cabi. I like most of what I have bought. There were some quality issues a few years ago with things pilling, but they seem to have worked that out and it was really just one or two seasons of specific items. I always get invited to at least one or two parties a year and one or two end of season "sales" by their consultants (which can be heavily discounted, but tend to be cash only) The only thing I didn't like about the Cabi stuff was because it was all friends at the party for a while we all had too many of the same wardrobe pieces. (I like the jockey home party stuff too) That doesn't seem to be as much of an issue now that I'm not an elementary school mommy though.

Cindy, sounds like a really nice day off! October is going to be such an exciting month for you!

Had to share, because I knew you all would understand...

I have a dress in the back of my closet from when I was at goal weight before we moved here. It's a 4P and is my goal outfit. I put it on this morning and was able to zip it all the way up. It wasn't pretty, but it zipped! It fit well in the chest/shoulders but was super tight in the belly/hips. I think maybe 5-7lbs and I can wear it with shape wear and 10-15 and I can wear it comfortably!

Kelly; that's not good!

Sorry; I couldn't resist!

I worked 10+ hours yesterday! Left work at 7:30 and back for 8 this morning. DSIL and band is opening for an artist doing a concert locally tonight, so we will go and hear him and the band and then come home....

Jenn - I watch Castle but haven't seen this weeks. Hope DH gets a good report!

and YAY Kelly!!!!!

Morning!

Kelly - I totally get it! And it's great to have a "goal" dress! WTG!!
I don't think I can squeeze the Cabi in - the consultant even offered me a private showing, but it's such a busy week!
I should have gone to last week's party!

Jenn - baby steps for DH!!
And I watch Castle too - but I'm not caught up!

Cindy - love the thread title! Wow what a long day!

I had a facial yesterday - first one in a long time ~ my skin feels amazing!
I need a massage!

Today is the gym, a doc appt, grocery shopping, and yoga!
And our anniversary is tomorrow!!

Cindy, Thanks for laughing with me this morning!

MK, if you want to see the clothes let the consultant and your friend know that this week is crazy and just won't work, but maybe another friend will book a party through this one and you can go then.

DS17 should be rolling back in for breakfast soon. Their coach seems to let them out a little later every week.

Yay! It's Thursday!
Off to work, heading to a elementary school the college is partnering with (along with a MS and HS). I am volunteering with JA this year - the elementary school this fall, a MS or HS next semester! I have a 5th grade class and it makes me nervous. I prefer MS or HS! Meeting the teacher today and strategizing!

Looking forward to the weekend......doing a Pink Pumpkin walk Saturday if it doesn't rain, and not sure what else.....just looking forward to a couple days off.

Cindy-what is JA? I feel like I should know, but it's escaping me. Just remember, 5th grade is just a hop, skip, and a jump to MS! You will be great!

Busy, as usual. Back to School Night for Millie and Henry. Too much going on, so I'm not going to be doing my usual volunteering at the MS today.

Hungry this morning, but it's a DD for me. Think I'll have an apple.

Hi!

Jenn - JA is Junior Achievement!
I used to do Kindergarten all the time.
I think I did 5th grade once - it's pretty easy!

Becky - talking about Cabi clothes - yes, another in-home party!

Kelly - good idea, thanks!

Cindy - you'll do great!

And Happy Anniversary to DH and I! 32 years!

Happy Anniversary MK and Phil.

We celebrate October 11. It will be 32 years.

Getting a cold. Actually have been feeling it coming on for last few days.

Glad to see both Jenn and Kelly back here.

I have a party on oct 17 and she emailed me her addresses. 25 of them! I have hopes that this one will be a good party! She has 6 yes and 4 maybes on fb. Their names were in the stack of invites so maybe the invitations will be reminders. I used the mini catalogs cuz I want this to be a good one for her. I've all but fixed up on the one for the 20th, she won't send me addresses and she's yet to put it on fb.

Lunch with Alyssa after school and then Gracie spends the night

Hi Ladies!

We were married the same year Debbie!

Exercise today and a ton of errands, yoga tomorrow and target shooting on Sunday!

I was approved for a Concealed Carry class, so I need to get that scheduled.
Not sure if I'll ever carry, but I might as well get the training.

Great Friday night - met up with my BFF from elementary through MS and her fiance as well as another HS friend and her hubby....they were in town to pick up a puppy she was getting from a breeder......We literally were born a week apart, baptized together and were BFFs for years! So good to see her!

No Pink Pumpkin walk - too wet and damp and lots of rain expected!

Becky, the clothes party is CABI (Carol Anderson by invitation). I had been invited to two parties this fall, but missed both. After MK mentioned it I looked at the fall line & they have some really cute things this fall. I hope another party rolls around!

Hi!

Rainy day here - DH is watching football and I'm catching up on the DVR!
The dog is going crazy with all the fireworks - lots of Homecomings this weekend.

Becky - you can order without a party, but since I've never been to a party I don't know what size I'd be . . . .

Staying very busy.

Did a run walk yesterday morning. Prepared for guests at our house last night. Ordered wine and beer for wedding and still need to do soda.

Had 12 of us at my house last night. We had the cancer to 5 K team of coaches, Sherpas, family and my youngest and his GF. Plus the one participant and her boyfriend. The others dropped out but they kept training with the one young women who is recovering from breast Ca. Today is heir goal race. I have to work.

DH leaving for Vancouver for three days. Two nights without him.

I have been on Neurontin for 5 days and feel better. Still get pain when I run up hill. I am not pushing it. In alternate running and walking and run less if in pain. I am trying to do cardio 6 days a week and my PT exercises 7.

14 days to the wedding and tons to do. I still need shoes, to make gift bags and to deal with rehearsal dinner. Plus I need to make a basket full of things for restroom at wedding. Only doing for women's room. I have A three day weekend next weekend. I have housewarming party at oldest's Saturday.

Our 32nd anniversary Friday. volunteering at a race Saturday morning because I can't run the half marathon I was supposed to be running. DH going with a friend.

Guess we will celebrate more when we have 5 nights and 6 days in NYC early November. Who have a cousins daughters wedding and DH doing some work up there Thursday so we are going up Wednesday. The wedding is in a park in Brooklyn on a Saturday evening. Not sure what I will wear to stay warm if cold.

As it is I worry about being cold for sons wedding. Looking at forecast that says 44 low-66 high. Great running weather but will be cold out there for the wedding.

Need to get ready for work.

Feel like I haven't been here. Did write a post yesterday but wouldn't go through on my IPad. Hope this one works.

Monday, Ugh.
I like weekends too much.

It was gorgeous here yesterday and a beautiful week ahead.

DD23 had the wedding on Saturday - good thing her bride was so laid back as it poured all day. However, the pics, from what I have seen so far, are amazing!

DH and I hung out all weekend and dog sat - he wasn't too happy, but with the torrential rain on Saturday, I was ok with it.

I think this week should be quiet. Put me "Hospital and Home Survival Kit" together for DD26. Want to give it to her since basically she is full term this week!

Debbie - this is crunch time with a wedding - it seems like there is ALWAYS something to be done!

Off and running.............

Crunch time yet I can't seem to get much done. I need to buy comfortable dressier black wedges. Maybe tomorrow. I need to color my hair. Need to make gift bags. How many? Can't get an answer. Need to finalize rehearsal dinner plans. Need to figure out time of rehearsal. Again no answer from son and fiancé. Need to call and see if we can get hotel rooms early. Need to buy soda and rest of beer. I have 13 days. Oh and she wants a basket of things in restroom for ladies. I guess band aids, tampons, Kleenex, Motrin. Not sure what else.

Tired! Got 5 hours sleep, hit the gym then work.

DH away till tomorrow.

Cindy, almost baby time. So exciting.

MK, warm here but stormed today.

I have PT at 9 then hope to run errands tomorrow.
