It is 6 and I am up. DH going to meet DS31 and family for breakfast at Ikea. I am not sure if DS will be there or new house. She wants to get a mirror for Bella's room that is back in stock but sells out quickly.i could technically go as long as I left for work by 10.maybe.

MK is your son doing a semester abroad??

Kelly, you must be crazy busy. We haven't heard much from you.

Cindy, when is the baby shower?? Did they buy furnature for the babies room? Isabella has a wall unit from Ikea with drawers, baskets and a hanging section behind doors. With one bedroom they needed something to maximize space. She never had a full size crib. She has a daycare crib which is smaller. She is outgrowing it. I hope her bed comes soon. It was shipped. I need to buy mattresses.

Jenn, you doing anything special right before the kids go back to school??

Becky, I am sure you are enjoying your cousins visit. I think you said you haven't seen each other in many years.

How is Kim's hip?

Kaye, come back!!! We miss you.

Happy September. I should check for new thread I guess.

HAPPY MONTH!

Debbie - the kids got most of their furniture from Ikea....crib, dresser (that will double as changing table), bookshelf/window seat, and then a huge basket system for the closet. They also have a teepee that DSIL made that will double as a play space....it's adorable. They are still working on wall decor.

Shower is in two weeks. I am trying to figure out centerpieces - right now they will be mums.....hoping we can come up with cool vase. Also doing little 4 oz jams as favors. DH found gigantic jars of strawberry preserves at a food service place he utilizes. I will fill 4oz jelly jars and then we are covering the lid with fabric, tying with twine and DD23 is adding a little tag that says "So sweet of you to come". They will be cute!

Anxious to see your dress, Debbie.

Got closets cleaned yesterday, but still need some baskets for organization. Also decorated for fall! Also took a nap, which I NEVER do. I felt like I was coming down with something. May be the allergies kicking my butt.

DH is off golfing, today I plan on cleaning our BR closets - I need to purge clothes I haven't worn this summer and last fall/winter. DD23 is doing maternity photo's for DD26 today. We will use some at the shower.

Here is a sneak peak - DD did some test shots yesterday!

Ikea opens at 9:30 . Can't go.

I won't get over to new house and help till Tuesday evening.

Not running leaves me time to prepare for one week from today. Praying the weather cools by next Sunday or my medical team is going to be busy. Lost two minor volunteers but had extra biker and extra medical spotter so good. Now praying I don't lose another. I have 1-2 extras at finish tent if needed.

Getting ready for work. Decided to put 12 in tomorrow to get time and a half for 12. Only 8 today.

After Sunday I need to focus on wedding.

Goody bags on Pinterest so so.

I will go to Party City and buy bags and ribbon. I have tissue especially white. May need colored. I will put in bottles of water, granola bars, mints, directions. Not sure what else.

Maryland themes tend to have crabs and oysters. I have a lot of Jewish people. If just my family I am buying Old Bay as a souvenir to take home I guess. There are cookies made in Baltimore but kind of pricy when you get them packed in individual size. They are fr the Jewish crowd. I think caramel creams made locally too. I happen to love them.

I have to get the wine, beer, soda. Next Tuesday last meeting with venue.

Not sure what is going on with DJ. I want some say there as we are paying.

They have around 60 coming so far and awaiting RSVPs. I know people coming that haven't responded. I fear that invites may not have gotten to people. My across the street neighbors never got theirs. I know the parents will come. Not sure about ther kids. Two are local. My guess was 100-110 people. I hope that is it. The place isn't big plus they have to rent extra chairs.

My son bought his suit, tie, shirt and cuff links. Well we bought. DS22 got new suit too. His is being shipped. DH got him his tie and shirt. I am sure he needs shoes. DS31 had just bought a new suit. Honestly the brides family has little style. I want my guys looking good.

Better finish getting ready.

I hope work goes fast. I need this week over with. The kids move Saturday with the movers coming Sarurday evening at 5:30 for three hours. The kids want to move as much boxed stuff themselves.

Their move comes on a busy weekend for us but we will be there when we can. I hope Mirsa's sister keeps Bella Saturday and Sunday. It would be best!!

Hi!

Debbie - you make me tired!!! Wow! What a full plate!
What about individually wrapped cookies?
Personalized with the couple's names, maybe?

Cindy - she's gorgeous!!! And cute favor idea!!!
I'll be asking you for help some day!
Is this your special month or something? You seem awfully excited!

When I organized closets last year, I found great baskets at TJMaxx.

And all my dreams have come true - a DSW is opening 30 minutes away!!!!!!!!!

Breakfast at Bob Evans tomorrow with deb, then heading back to moms to pick her up and were going to our grandparents grave. Mom hasn't been there for a while. Then to the airport by 3:00. We watched Hereafter and Hide and Seek tonight, she hasn't seen either one. We wanted to watch hide and seek last year and we ran out of time so I saved it for us to watch together this year. I'm hoping to go visit her next December (2014) cuz she goes to this place called Bok Tower and its decorated at Christmas and I want to see it. Been a long busy weekend but it was a fun visit.

Tomorrow back to reality and I have a TON of laundry to do and a little 4 year old girl to visit cuz she's going through cuddling withdrawals from me not being able to visit much with her this weekend. :-((((

I'm tired, i promise to catch up and do indies tomorrow. Debbie, 3 weeks til the marathon!!!

Cindy, your daughter looks beautiful. Shower ideas are wonderful.

12 hours today. Making the cucumber salad. Couldn't make last night because it gets watery. I have to go make it.

Woke up around 3am for a good hour or more. Did get a few hours in but heard DH get up to run.

Happy Labor Day!

Hope the day is a quiet one Deb.
The month will be busy with the wedding around the corner and everything else you have going on!

MK - I love to look around DSW. I still find their prices kind of high. I love their clearance, however! DD's and I both have gotten some phenomenal deals there.

I got alot accomplished yesterday. All closets that I had planned on cleaning are clean.

DD and DSIL will head back to Milwaukee today - I hate to say it but hope it's earlier rather than later. It's like a circus with the dogs.....DH really gets frustrated by it. Not sure how to handle it with them.

Yes, MK - it IS a special month!

Very busy. Race stuff, new house,PT and more.

Work 11-3 tomorrow. Helping Mirsa pack or watching Bella so she can pack.

She has been difficult. No schedule. Dinner at like 8p tonight.

I got her mattresses at Ikea today. I was there DH and DS29 lifted.
Bought mattress pads, pillow, blankets and some fall clothes for her at Target.

Can't wait till this week is over. Next week busy but hopefully less stressful.

I think I am paying people to come clean my house before mom comes. My back is too bad right now to be bending like that. Packing for Mirsa can only be light things and mostly I will play with the baby and get them dinner yet again.

Prednisone has put 1-2pounds on me. Hope it is fluid and I will be lower tomorrow.

Nope that is after

This is before. They are tiling fireplace hearth and need to buy new enclosure. They won't use it for fires and TV going above mantle. Wires coming down through into hole through fireplace into basement.

Weird but they won't use fireplace and need to hide wires and components.

A lot of work left but they will move in Saturday night regardless. The kitchen is almost done. Bathrooms almost done. Shower enclosure on order.

Isabella's bed is there but needs handy person with a drill and proper tools to put it together.

DS31 going home after dealing with house and errands and grading and doing lesson plans at 10 or later.

Mk, I was also down to 117 then I would go up to 119 and back to 118. Now steroids seem to be causing a gain. I am not eatin a lot most of the time. Too busy. Did have dinner out where we split a sundae Saturday night. I hope my scale comes down today.

Good morning-
Bad poster Kelly here...

We've had back to school night, water polo games/scrimmages, feeding the boys and the visiting teams, finding chaperones for the first "patio dance" of the school year, organizing our fundraiser that's coming up, talking to businesses about buying ad space in our tournament program... (just to name a few)
We have a "trash to treasure" fundraiser coming up that is really cool. Its a textile recycling company and they take stuff that isn't wearable (like things that are stained/threadbare/torn/missing the other sock...) and it gets reworked into things like insulation, pet bedding, cushions...

My scale is working its way down too. I'm at 137 this morning (this scale is 8 lbs heavier than the one it replaced)

I talked to DS20 yesterday, he starts classes today. He said they were all sore and tired because they were spending pretty much all day every day in the pool before classes start and the NCAA limits their practice time to 4 hours/day and makes the coaches give them at least one day a week off.

The room mate that wasn't able to come back already has plans for a weekend visit for Halloween and they are excited about that. DS20's friend currently has 3 jobs, but 2 of them are seasonal and at least one of those might have ended on Labor Day (not sure, he's a lifeguard on one of the beaches on Lake Michigan) He was looking for another job to replace that one when it ended. So, it sounds like all he is doing is working while he isn't at school.

DS16 should be rolling back in from practice soon. I should probably take a look to see what I can quickly get in his tummy for breakfast.

Waiting for my appt at Jenny, in early cuz I didn't want to go home first, it's not til 11:20.

Gracie Ararted back to preschool... I can't wait to get the overflow of refrigerator art that Kim doesn't have room for. It goes in my cedar chest when I get too much for when they grow up.

In going to lowes today to look for a small chest freezer, we need something for my Jenny food cuz in going too much to get johns stuff, then it gets too costly coz I get things I don't need.

Yes I'm making another scarf, for John this time, Cory is next. Cindy he went at the end of July too, they always go on Labor Day week too but he thinks next year he's only going once and that's cuz Cory will probably be going, he's tired of them inviting different friends and then him picking up the overflow of expenses when it's their friends, being ignored cu they're entertaining their friends and then sucking up afterwards cuz they know they ticked him off.

Hi!
Debbie - I'm not sure I'll be able to stick at 117 - I need to get used to it.
However, I was so busy exercising today that I hardly had time to eat.
RIP started again and it was HARD!
Then I walked 3.81 miles with a friend, and then did a 90 minute yoga class.

Breakfast was a potato, lunch a few carrot rounds, and then pretzels about 3:30.
Finally had chicken, carrots and yogurt for dinner. Lots of Gatorade too.
This will be an early night!

Happy New Year!

Cindy - have you looked through pictures for new hairstyles?

Becky - I have a friend who wallpapers her garage with the kid's artwork!

Kelly - wow! you ARE busy!! Don't make yourself crazy!

Jenn - I wish I could figure out what to eat! I said I'd be happy at 120 . . . maybe I should say 115?

These days at work have been insane....you have no idea!
It is non stop from the time I walk in, to the time I walk out. It is pure exhaustion at the end of the day.

Kelly - I remember these days well....enjoy them!

Becky - sounds like Cory is going to be around a while! John must like him if he is considering inviting him on the trip next year. That is a great thing!!

MK - doesn't sound like a very good menu to me!
I have been eating a pretty balanced diet lately and it seems to be working.....for now, lol.

Debbie - are you hanging in there?

Hi Jenn!!!!

New hair last night.....working toward DD's suggestion and my stylist agreed, so will grow it out a little. My color, as always, is amazing.........she definitely is a color rock star!

Off to make my lunch, work out and head in to work....have lots of shower stuff to do over the next few days and weekend.

I've gained weight. Not a happy camper.

Still busy getting into the new routine (back to school)

My best weight, I think, is around 130. I once got to 117 and looked terrible!

Not sure what I'm doing today. I have a load of towels to dry and put away. Need to color my hair, but I need to wait until DH isn't home and not sure when that will be.

pop in later
