It's very comparable to Calvinball. (in otherwords, anything goes because peskie says so & we’re not above making it up as we go along)

the only pounds that count as lost is the ones subtracted from starting weight and or siggy weight. So if I gain 3 and lose two I can;'t be claiming a 2 pound loss. I gotta claim a 1 pound gain. Making sure we are all on the same page. Losing pounds from a gain DO NOT COUNT. :trips and falls off soapbox::

I think no matter what type of program you're on, portion control has to be in there somewhere or you'll just keep losing the same lbs over and over. Ultimately we all have to learn that we don't NEED certain foods just because a particular program says we can have them. If they aren't good for us, we need to learn to live without them

I usually don't WANT the crap until I tell myself I can't have it and push myself to a time frame on hitting goal. Then I eat crap and binge and gain quickly. When I tell myself I CAN, I usually leave it alone. (unless it's a big craving and then it's actually worth it and I don't overeat it, but savor it and don't gain anyway

Odd work schedules need to be in the siggys, so we can “keep up” landis says so.

If you ate what you wanted and are not hungry that's one thing (200 calories or not--I do not take issue with calorie restrictions) but you're hungry so obviously you haven't eaten enough.

women gain a lot of times during the premenopausal times and post and how it's just sort of a "given" that it will happen. However, some women do NOT do it but keep their weight under control their whole lives though it is definitely more difficult. Why should I just accept that it's a part of life? I don't want to and WILL NOT accept this. Just like being on certain kinds of medicines can contribute to gaining. Some people do not gain in spite of that. No it may not be EASY but few things in life worth having are.

I am feeling better than I have in AGES!!!

I actually felt like doing laundry last night. Now I didn't LIKE it but I FELT like doing it. I am amazed. And thrilled!

How are you all doing?

My doctor wants me to lose 5 pounds because of borderline Blood pressure. Sure is harder losing 5 pounds than it used to be! I am about 158 right now. I would like to get down at least to 150 but really 145 if at all possible. I think I am going to do portion control. I do best with that I think.

Anyone else rockin' a plan?

Oh and went and visited the Rush fitness club yesterday. I have a 5 day pass. Gonna see how I like it. There is also another cheaper place closer even that I am going to try. It doesn't have the posh ameneties like an indoor pool, steam room etc. I like to have a "me day" sometimes and do those things. I could probably afford either but just not sure.

Morning. My mommy just left was hard because Kyle started bawling when she left. I hate that
Anyways..we had a great visit. I'm lucky we live closer now and we get to see them again in 2 weeks.

I've eaten like crud the last 3 days but I have been running at least so I should be ok. Going to be very good today because I didn't run and might not tomorrow either due to the weather.

Kyle starts school the 12th and I think I'm going to start spin classes again at least once a week. We have a nice gym and I can go when I want and it has a daycare in it for Stella. I have 10 pounds to go and I want it gone now!!

I have been eating crud too DP especially the last week. My new medicine seems to increase my appetite a LOT. I hope that side effect diminishes. Sorry your Mom is gone but 2 weeks will be here before you know it!

Anxious to work out this afternoon after work to see how I like that gym!

Yes he starts pre-k!! He turns 4 October 12th and the cutoff here is September 30th. We found a private school that will allow him to start now and if he's ready begin kindergarten next year. If he isn't ready he will do preschool one more year. We think he's ready.
It's an awesome school and we are glad to be able to send him.

Took the kids to the park this morning and had a picnic. We are going to the farmers market in a bit and then out to dinner. It's my last meal out. I have 9 pounds to lose, I just need to buckle down.

no sunshine here today. Its warm enough. not hot but kind of muggy. a little drizzly rain, I think. I got my sourdough starter out and am waking it up. I forgot about it. I want to make some bread sometime soon, I think. also made dh some peanut butter cookies. I was going to do snickerdoodles but I don't have enough flour and didn't want to go to the store today. I ended up just making almost flourless peanut butter ones. not my favorite recipe but they are good and gave him a treat. I did have one though.

mostly fruit/veggies other than that so far today. dinner will probably be leftover ribs from last night.

Morning. Sitting with my coffee after my 8 mile run. Dh and Stella are still sleeping and Kyle just woke up. Rainy yucky day here so I think we will go grocery shopping and just hang out.

nice run, DP!

I'm sitting here with my coffee doing nothing . later today we are going to a fair at a neighboring county and tonight is the blue oyster cult concert there. I can't tell what the weather is going to do. looks like it will be nicer than yesterday, though.

this is dh's last day of vacation. he goes back to work tomorrow. but dd24 will be home in a couple days! yeah!

I had a great weekend! We went to see Red 2 yesterday with some good friends and ate Thai/Chinese food at a cute little restaurant. My elbow is hurting a little from the workouts. I iced it last nice but meant to again and forgot If it is not better tomorrow night I am going to just do cardio and wait until it is 100% better to do the weights again. Might do lower body weights. I am going to join the gym tomorrow night. I think I'll do a year. SO wish I could afford a personal trainer. I am pretty disciplined and know what weights to do but it sure was nice to have someone to cheer me on through the workout! Anyway, she worked me out a routine so I'll do that for a while.

I think when Kyle starts school I'm going to start at the gym too. Ill have all morning and the gym has a nursery for Stella.

Speaking of..she's 7 months today!! How'd that happen!?!?

Wow that's hard to believe too DP!!! I have missed a gym. Plus I feel SO much better, like actually GOING to it I wish they had a doggy nursery

I'm going to get back to working out TODAY! not putting it off any longer. I have 1 month before school starts and I can be in a good routine for that month and going into the school year. I'm going to do cardio this morning.

dd24 and her boyfriend are coming to the area today and will be around for the week! not sure when they go back, I assume Sunday. also don't know exactly what days they are here and what days they are at his parents but they will be around more than 2 days so I know we'll get some time with them this time!

how is everyone? I've had a good day. and its SUNNY! yeah! I did get my exercise in. did 3.25 mile walk on the treadmill then got cleaned up and got some things picked up around the house. found my kitchen table under the clutter *blush*, got some laundry done, cleaned the bathtub (dh gave dogs a bath yesterday and I don't know if he cleaned the tub after or not. he might of but I did it, just in case). also got dishes put away and the few others from the sink loaded. back is sore today, though. booooo

the rest the day been hanging out with dd22 who showed up here. She has been looking at house stuff on line. she REALLY wants to buy a small house but is not in the position to right now. she is looking at what she needs to work on in order to get herself in that position.

dd24 and her boyfriend will be here later. I think we are all going out for a late meal after dh gets home unless he has to work late. this would be the night that we normally go for pancakes so hopefully he won't have to work over and it will work out. I really wanted to find a time we could all go while she is home and dd22 doesn't work today so it would be a good night to do it.

eating has been good so far.
*protein shake
*cucumber, carrots, celery
*cheese (cheddar and smoked gouda)
*salad (lettuce, shredded cheese, asian flavored olive oil/balsalmic
*1 pkg single serving ritz crackers
*skinny iced caramel macchiato, grapes

see? not too bad. don't know what I'll have when we go out but at least I've made mostly good choices the rest the day.

Back up to 163. Really having trouble breaking through and staying in the 150's. Need to focus and set my mind to do this.

back from the support group. I did something wild today! I came home from lunch and called back in and said I wasn't coming back and taking the afternoon off. The wild part was it was for no particular reason. I just didn't want to go back. Wild and crazy huh?

Ok so maybe wild isn't the word. Hee hee anyway did nothing all afternoon except go see Buddy when he got home and then going to the group meeting.

Tomorrow going to do cardio and strength training at the gym at the gym and probably go ahead and sign up

well, look at you you wild and crazy girl!

dd24 and her boyfriend are ON their way. be here within 1/2 hour. dh is home from work and dd22 is sitting here making use of our internet. we are going out for a late dinner. yeah! I was so hoping I could make something work while they are home this week that all the schedules would fit. I did invite my Dad and L but I don't know if they will make it. they are doing things at home to get ready to leave tomorrow for a few days. at least I invited .

I know what you mean DP. I got all my measurements and fat count/muscle thingie done last week at the gym. I fall within the "normal" range on everything but I know I am NOT happy especially with my middle and upper arms. Menopause has wreaked havoc on my middle section, well could be worse but that stupid middle age spread is starting! I can't like it!

Also with my elbow being so bad for so long I haven't been able to do upper body weights in forever. Looking forward to adding those. I REALLY need a personal trainer to help me do it right so I won't hurt it but I just can't afford it right now.

OTOH, It is GREAT to be back at the gym again!

Started my morning with coffee and a protein shake made with almond and some coffee, of course. We had a really nice time visiting last night. Got home about 11 I think. Was so nice to just site and enjoy time with my family. Will see them again today or tomorrow probably. my back is much better this morning. I should have walked or something but when I was so sore yesterday had thought should rest it 1 day. Hmmmm, maybe will go for a short walk still but it won't be long because its getting hot out.
