Lots of cleaning done. Painting starts tomorrow. Not sure when bathrooms will be gutted.

Met their neighbor. No little kids but as old people sell young will move in some day.

I am ready for bed. I ran a half marathon and scrubbed walls, moldings in 5 rooms and hallway. Got my son to do kitchen cabinets with Murphy's Oil Soap.

I hope the smoke smell upstairs is better. Once they paint and recarpet it will help.

Debbie, we only have 2 houses on our street that has children, 1 couple moved in 3 years ago and another couple moved in 2 months ago. Only 2 couples have been here longer than we have been and we'll celebrate 25 years here in November, we closed on out 10th anniversary.

Girls are here, I hope Kim isn't too long yet. I only have to work tomorrow and then I'm off the rest of the week but I also have a week of caring for mom this week starting Tuesday but she will come here tomorrow since its her bd I don't want her being by herself since it seems my dear brother isn't doing anything for her.

Bb after the girls leave, gotta go break up an argument that's close to turning into a fight

UGH. MONDAY.
The weekends go far too quickly when Monday is a work day.
However, I am off the NEXT TWO MONDAY's after today!
I had to sneak a couple in as we go into black out till after the start of the semester.
Thinking I might take an afternoon off this week as well to bring Chloe in for Rabies and distemper shots.

Debbie - I love Murphy's Oil Soap! Everything smells so good after!
Neighborhoods will slowly turn around as you said.

I think exchange will be good again. I like doing it. Maybe we could do OUR favorite things for our person.......like if I was to get Becky I might do a cute coffee mug, a pair of earrings, some note cards, a scarf, a cool pen with purple ink......those would be SOME of MY favorite things......thoughts?

Off to work, stopping at PO first - my NEW PURSE is here and they tried delivering it Saturday and no one home.

I think that sounds good Cindy and u could get my name and I would be happy with those things.

Just made moms pot pie (chicken and dumplings). My hands are always so dry after I make the dough. It's a time consuming dish to make but it's so good!

And I'm tired! Lol.

Hi!

I tried skeet shooting tonight!!
it was so much fun!!

Cindy - purse pic!!
And I like that idea - that way we don't have to make lists for each other!

Debbie - when you're finished with that house, mine could use some TLC!!

Becky - show us pics of your jewelry - we'll appreciate it!

Kelly - yes, what did she get from Tiffany?

Big event at work today - Quick Start.....all fees waived and runs from 2-6.
We get alot of clowns.....will be glad when it's over.

YAY! I like the idea of OUR favorite things too!!! We kind of know each other's likes and dislikes.....so I certainly wouldn't give Debbie actual coffee as I know she doesn't drink it, but there are alot of other things I could get her............what are everyone else's thoughts?

I will post a pic when I can.........I LOVE it!!!! Not too big or too small and the leather is like BUTTAH!!!!!

Yep no coffee or red wine for me.

Work was not fun yesterday. I probably overdid it Sunday. I keep getting nauseated. Thankfully it goes away. It isn't pleasant. Feels like morning sickness. I wonder if it is hormonal. Slept great last night so that is good.

DS31 did a lot of bathroom demo yesterday with his BIL. Landscaper supposed to come today. Wonder if our heavy rain will keep them away.i think the neighbors will like all the changes. It is a good house in need of TLC.

The house across from me and over one from my friend Nancy's sold after two days on the market. Things are selling fast here. I hope we get nice new neighbors. I am sure there will be kids. It is a big colonial. They added a big sunroom and finished the basement.

I have work to do here. Need to get started.
Think I will be home till I run later. If I am nauseated that might not happen.

Hope your mom recovers quickly Becky.

Busy day tomorrow. I work 11-3 and need to run after. Meeting about medical for the half marathon at 7.

DS31 is in the midst of major renovations. His wife was finally talked into pulling up all the carpet and refinishing all the original hardwoods. It will be beautiful. They will need area rugs and pads. Home Goods has pretty rugs.

It is a good thing my son is off from school. He has been helping with demo work and making a lot of Home Depot trips.

I can't even begin to say how many trips Kim and John... Or myself went to lowes. Seemed we should have owned the place after a whole. Hardwood floors will be beautiful, I think John is going to pull the carpet up and put some kind of wood down. It's been carpeted for 25 years (actually since 69) so I can't imagine what it would look like.

Johns pretty bummed, his brother told him in Canada that he has about 2-3 years left. He didn't listing to John about the hemochromatosis and he had a heart attack and then a 2nd one, he laughed at John about having high iron and now he's paying the price. I feel so bad for John. This trip over Labor Day won't be as fun for him. Charles is refusing any treatment cuz he doesn't want to linger, so he's pretty much throwing the towel in and wants to go fast so he's trying to control his destiny. Funny how different the 2 guys are. Johns been very quiet since he's been back.

That is sad Becky.

Today is Billy and Mirsa's 3rd anniversary. Originally they were going to go to the beach. They bought the house and that changed.

I work 11-3. I want to get a run in after then t 7 I meet the guy I do medical with for the Parks Half. The race is one month from tomorrow and I am short maybe 7-8 volunteers which is great. Now I need to focus on everything else.

I need to get ready for work. DH is in Boston for the day. He has been traveling a lot lately.

Happy anniversary to Billy and Mirsa. Wow, that 3 years has sure flown!

Just finished mowing. That was a tough one today, it's very humid and usually I do the back another day, but I went ahead and mowed it all today cuz of having mom here. Kim is coming back tomorrow so I can run to Jenny but I don't want to be gone any longer than I need to be.

Hi!

Cindy - so how about we each get to list a couple of things we CAN'T have - like red wine and coffee for Debbie and dairy and caffeine for me .. . . . besides that - it's fair game.
Thoughts?

Becky - sad!

Debbie - 3 years! Wow!!
Hope you feel better!

Jenn - you too!

Kelly - Are you OK?

And Kaye??!!

That's right, MK, I remember that!

I have sleeping pills, but need to sleep solid a good 8 hours, so only take those on the weekends when I need them. I use the Melatonin every night otherwise.

TGIF!
Packer preseason game tonight, so wearing a Packer shirt to work today
We had tickets but sold them. Going out to dinner with some friends tonight instead.

Funny story for you: DD23 hates football, and the Packerss. Her DH LOVES them. Grew up with alot of them as neighbors. The owner of her company in Milwaukee (large, very republican co.) has a luxury suite (that he shares with our governor ) and he was giving away tickets to tonight's game to those with the best story. DD emailed the secretary, saying today is her husband's birthday (it is), he is a HUGE fan, and she would love to take him.........she emailed me at the time and said boy, she REALLY must love this guy, as she has always said there would be NO amount of $$ that would get her to a Packer game. Well, low and behold, she won the tickets and they are letting her off early and they are coming home early (weren't coming home till tomorrow) and going to the game!

Anyone doing any shopping for fall already? I am! I bought 4 shirts and a pair of boots this week. I am looking forward to fall!!!
