Well, I already have 5,000+ steps for today. Eating is going well, I'm never hungry, and all my food is LC. Under 20 carbs. I have stalled for the past 7-10 days, don't know why, but not in panic....my body is probably adjusting to the 14.5 lb loss from last month. Too much too soon, perhaps....

Deb, how is the hydration pack working for you? Do you drink electrolytes while you run, or just water?

Coolness! Deb, you seem to be a serious runner. I've never been able to run, even in HS when I was in the 160s. I was pitiful even then. hahahaha

I was asking about electrolytes because I became a bit dehydrated recently and started researching them in order to find something surgar-free. All those athletes were raving in the various comments sections how much better their high-intensity workouts like rowing were with the addition of electrolytes.

It's like minerals and other substances that keep people from becoming dehydrated. Gatorade and other sports drinks are supposed to have them, but they are also full of sugars

Jazz...my man was just talking to me and told me the electrolytes thang is all about potassium and sodium....

so we buy powerade ZERO in a flat at Costco and it has 0 everything but 2% mag / 10 % sodium / 2 % potassium

NO sugar

there is blue/red and yellow

they are icky but he loves them

Oh, cool! I haven't looked for Powerade zero at Costco, bet it costs much less that buying individually at the store. Thanks so much for letting me know, I'm gonna go get me some. I'm with you, taste is not the best....

SNORT!

No, the fire isn't close to us. Whew! But, we just started to get some of the smoke from it last night & today, due to the wind direction. It's about 40% contained.

Well, Yoga has many benefits:
Physical, mental & spiritual
You gain strength, flexibility, endurance.
Better posture, balance, coordination
Helps with lower back pain, arthritis & other ailments.
Helps relieve stress, anxiety, depression, & relaxes/calms you.
You sense & become more aware of who & what you are as a person on this earth through the meditation aspects.
Gives you more of a sense of community.
When class is over...I walk out feeling like I have accomplished something for myself.

Oh, BTW...I was interviewed for a Yoga article in a local paper here last Feb..
This is what I said:
I'm addicted to it. Not only did I get my flexibility back, but I also increased my strength, endurance, balance, coordination.
Eases my arthritis, decreases my back pain and improves my sleep.
Yoga calms me down...makes me mellow.
The community/social aspects of the studio practice makes me return.

But...as most of you know...My sleep has been the Pits lately! So...so much for improving my Sleep...Huh?

Wow, thanks so much for sharing! I need more of all of the above in my life, especially the mellowing out part. Very necessary when teaching a class of rowdy, energetic kids.
