I'd like to join! I started at 222.something (forget) and currently weigh 211.4 lbs. Its been alittle slow, until lately. I found out I have high cholesterol/tryglycerides and so I now have a medical reason to get this weight back down. My lowest was 170 lbs about 4 yrs ago. I stayed at 180 for yrs then fell off the wagon and regained everything I had lost! Now its my heart health in jeopardy so time to get serious and then find a way to KEEP IT OFF!!!!

Well I weighed this morning against my better judgement -_-

235.8 yaaaaaaaaay! Sarcasm lol. TOM is due tomorrow or Wednesday so I'm holding onto a lot of water. Plus I ate too much Friday and Sat night (lc). But I will be very diligent today and tomorrow so hopefully I can see the 220's. That would be awesome.

Good morning everyone! Well, after taking almost a week off, I'm up 6 pounds I didn't go crazy and eat a ton of food, but I did eat waaayyyyy too many carbs. Lots of sugary stuff. But it was nice to just get out of here for a few days, go to the ocean, and hang out with hubby and all 3 of my boys, as the oldest was able to take leave and come with us.
Anyway, today is a new day, it's a new week, and time to get serious. Tonight me, my husband and my 13 yr old son are starting phase 1 of the Jamie Eason Live Fit Trainer again. We won't be following her food plan, too many carbs and we have too many food intolerances to be able to do grains or dairy.... but we love the workouts and saw good results last time lifting heavy.

Today's weight 7/29: 161.4

Goal 8/5: 157.4 (-4)

Thanks for the welcome! And thats my 20 yo son. I miss him so much. This is the longest we have gone without seeing him. I worry about him constantly. Its been 3 days since we heard from him and he hasn't been on facebook either. That worries me. Its hard staying "on plan" when your nerves are getting the best of you. I keep telling myself I have to be healthy, so he isn't worried about me!

I did stay in calories yesterday. But I felt big so I'm not surprised to go up. It's either leftover gain from my big eat Sunday, or the rising tide of PMS. Either way, I'm in a good position today. I feel good, not hungry, and I grocery shopped yesterday. I'm actually excited about today because I'll be home a lot, it's not too hot, and I can focus on cleaning and a little food prep (make a salad, etc). I love days like this!

Welcome back, Vicki. Thanks for the workout tip. I hadn't heard of that one.

Tammy, my daughter is 20 and just off at college and I worry and look at her facebook too, just to be sure she's ok. I can't even imagine how tough it must be for you.

When my dd went to college I was worried about her too. She was only 40 minutes away! LOL But my ds being in Afghanistan, and with things heating up over there some, you can times my worry by 100! My stress level is, on a scale of 1-10, a 10++++!
I'm doing ok with my "diet" and not cheating! I cannot believe I bought my granddaughter cheese curls and I didn't even want any! THAT is definitely a win for me. I also went grocery shopping yesterday and bought Italian turkey meatballs. Everyone here likes them. I don't know if thats such a good thing. Now I may not get any! LOL Got some fruit & veggies too. 3'M set for success now.

Tammy, hang in there, I know it's got to be really scary when you don't hear from him. Thank him for his service, and thank you! My husband served in the Army for 8 years during the 90's, and it was really hard because they would call in the middle of the night and tell him to be packed and in formation within an hour. I would never know where he was going or when he was coming back, and no contact when he was gone, it was a big waiting game. My son is in the Air Force now, and it's so hard not seeing him for so long. Hang in there lady, gotta be tough, and take care of yourself too
Yvonne- thanks for the welcome back! I really like the JELF Trainer, because I can see results so quick!
Michelle- what Yvonne said... sometimes the scale just sucks. Hope today is better for you!

Wow. I've been taking glucomannan (sp?) every day. I wonder if that's helping? I haven't seen these numbers since early June. I'm happy.

I'm really surprised at how well I'm doing this week. TOM came this morning, usually it's accompanied by significant gain, both from bloating and bingeing. This is nice!

I'm still shocked that I'm within my goal even though TOM came. Of course, tomorrow's when it really counts. I am hungry today. I'm going to eat more protein to stay full.

I have to confess, I cheated yesterday. I knowingly ate extra at dinner, then went for a long walk to earn back some of those calories. That's not an effective strategy long-term, but maybe it's ok every now and then. Anyway, what I ate yesterday was what I used to eat all the time before I started counting calories. No wonder I wasn't losing! Turns out I was eating too much even though it seemed fine. A good lesson for me.
