WOOHOO! That is GREAT Michelle! Let us know how the paperwork goes!

That is great to hear Gregg! Mine aren't there yet, but my DS14 is a freshman in high school. I know I will blink and he will be off to college!

Anna - maintaining is sometimes a GREAT thing! HOpe you are doing well.

Chig - did you forgo on the pancakes? WE don't got to Ihop here. They a small amount of cake batter to their omlettes! I'm Celiac and that would be just enough to make me VERY VERY SICK! SO we just stay away!

Trolly - Happy anniversary to you both! Sounds like you made the best out of a celebrating weekend. WAY TO GO! That is not easy to do!

My Dad is a nascar fan! Me, I never could get into it and I tried. Now, I am a HUGE Football fan and my Chief's, who have been CRAPTASTIC for several years now, seem to be turning the page! 2-0 , I think I will call it a winning streak since last year, ALL SEASON, we only won 2 games!

Good weekend for us. DD's team won 3 and lost 2. The bracket play loss was brutal. Bad call (which I NEVER state) ruined the game. DD11 was pitching and we had 2 outs, bases loaded, threw a 3rd strike and catcher dropped the ball. Catcher stepped on homeplate (which is all that is needed when bases are loaded) and our team started leaving the field. The other teams runners even walked off, ONE making it back to the dug out when their coach screamed for them to head back on and run the bases. Stupid refs let them go back on and counted all 4 runs! We lost the game 5-6! Tough loss, but good learning lesson. Sometimes in life, BAD CALLS are made!

Other than that, it was all good. Weather was amazing! Friday nights games were chilly. I LOVE FALL!

And I am back! I need to go back and read--but don't have the time this morning--I'll be back! do I sound like Arnie? had a great weekend--but need to mow and will be canning this afternoon and evening also! big big day!

I finally did lose a couple of pounds-- finally after 3 weeks almost! about time! I have been ready to give up and eat a box of donuts-Bill killed me this weekend eating donuts and chocolate and trail mix and cookies! it was hard watching him putting away gobs of goodies and not touching a bite-I need to find some easy access and lowcarb snacks that are plentiful! time to run--back later!

Jeanne- wow way to go for staying off the donuts and it paid off big in the nick of time! Nice whoosh

Monica- What a heart breaking loss, was anyone questioning the call and the lateness of it. How odd he just says get back out there so the umps just let it then restart? Thats insane, must have looked pretty darn odd too. Thats a pretty cheap win seems so odd like a lets try this at every game see if we can get away with it.

As long as Jimmie Johnson doesnt win the championship I will be okay. Yes Kyle is an amazing driver and we wouldnt mind him winning either. I think he deserves it. I dont think thats what nascar wants though and I think they influence to put it mildly calls on the track to help or hinder who they want.

Coffees done, gettin a cup- or 6 gotta get rockin this morn

Jeanne - I am sure it is hard to watch! Girl, I can't remember, is BILL rail thin to boot?

Michellehu- our coach questioned it all. He kept a level head and spoke with both of the umpires. He told us all later, he could have called in the director, but since BOTH umpires held the same view, it wouldn't have done any good! It did look odd. I turned to DH and said, homeplate ump is clicking off the runs as these girls come in....these are all counting and SURE ENOUGH, they did! Worse yet, their little team went to the dugout and CHEERED BIG TIME for a homerun on a dropped 3rd strike where 1 runner had returned to the dugout. Take a win on a crap call? I guess, they saw it was their SUPERIOR Skill!

OH NO!!!! I did not know that. I did not eat the pancakes! I did have an omlette. I ended up getting a chicken omlette and it made me so sick. I didn't finish it. I have never been a big Ihop fan but my dad picked it and he was paying...so...

I am down to 226.9 today!! 19 lbs lost so far!!

I walked 3 miles yesterday and kept on my diet all day.

Would like to get down one more pound this week. I am so close to moving into some new clothes!!

Morning peeps......

WTG Jeanne!! It is so HARD to watch the hubs/family eat junk. I feel for you.

I heard about the IHOP deal a couple of years ago. A friend of one of my kids is a celiac, ate eggs, and was very sick. I totally avoid all gluten, I'm not a Celiac, but the gluten triggers migrains. Boo

Monica your life is busy as usually, glad you have so much energy to keep up with the kids. I am so disappointed in the ref at H's game!! REALY??? Makes it hard to play when something like that happens. So sorry.

Hi everone, got to go

Anna

I understand, the batter may have been what upset your tummy. Given that you are LC, just a little could be enough to upset it! Darn it!

Anna - it's all a learning experience. This is a new team for DD11. Her prior coaches would have FAUGHT the call, called in the director, possibly even walked off the field (YES they have done that before). I was very proud of how our new Coach handled it. He calmly discussed it and when he saw both umpires were backing each other, there was no need to push it further. Our prior coach would have been screaming and yelling while in the stands all of us parents just tried to hide! So I am pleased we have switched teams and DD11 is so happy with all the girls!

Had a great DD yesterday. It was BUNCO night for me so I was surrounded by Cheese puffs (LOVE THOSE) M&M"s (really love those) PB/White chocolate popcorn....and ate nothing! Total calories for the day were right at 540c. Really good for me!

WTG Monica--I love Bunco-used to do with friends too--willpower extreme with the goodies under your nose-Yes Bill is thin and tall with the metabolism of a teenager apparently-grr!

Anna-maintaining is hard--you are doing it--fabulous! how goes the job?

Gregg-I was majorly depressed when the youngest son went to college--we ended up buying a camper to help! and a got a cat!

Michelle--wtg on convincing the hubs to foster--he will love it too--and walking the 5 mile-you go girl! you are really spreading your wings!! I am beaming with pride!

Monica-sorry about the call--tough to have to live with stuff like that-grr

MichelleHu-thanks for the kind words-are you still doing Stillman?

chigirl--I have read for years the ihop put pancake batter in their omelets to make them fluffy-I used to always buy their omelets thinking I was doing well with the diet--I have heard you can ask for eggs only no batter in them but not sure I would trust them?

busy day yesterday-didn't get back into the house until 9pm last nite-I was almost too tired to walk-everything hurt-I still need to finish up mowing today but not sure my body will allow it-and tomorrow I will be headed to Evansville with my friend Val-Dolly's groomer-she needs a biopsy so I will be gone with her-I may decide to stay inside and catch up with stuff that I need to do today.

hello to everyone else and have a great on plan day

Hey guys you all are doing so great. I had a rough night, finally caved on sugarfree jello and it helped some. Then I slept so late this morn and couldnt figure out why till I swallowed and discovered a sore throat then a sniffely nose now I know why i slept so late.

Yes still doing stillmans but I have a veg everyday so I am not technically hard core. I am going for another week till mom and i go out of town for a night. Doing a casino bus overnighter. It will be a blast and they have a steak seafood house there so it will be a low carb meal only more luxurious than i have been eating. Stillmans otherwise is speeding me right through the 20's and i am so ready to hit those teens. Started on the 5th and I have lost 6 lbs.

Chigirl ~ Hope you are feeling better after the Ihop. Lots of water and dont think twice about it, it happens the sneaky buggers!!

Hi Guys,

Down another lb to 211 and I'm holding my breath until I hit 209! I know it is just around the corner if I stay focused. I went to Step class yesterday and today went on a massive cleaning spree that needed to happen. I may walk later too and then Step again tomorrow. Once I hit 209 it will be the countdown...8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0, Onederland!! Psychologically a weight starting with '1' is going to give me a big boost of motivation. Feels like a big hurdle and I'm ready to get past it.

Michelle--I did Stillmans before my wedding and it was rather effective but I got really bored of it.

batchelor--We need to send you a lawn service!!

Monica-- White chocolate peanut butter popcorn?! Great willpower!

chigirl--19 lbs is awesome! I bet you're feeling the difference. I've only lost 11 or so but already my clothes are getting loose and I've gotten into a pair of jeans I couldn't wear before.

Hi to everyone else!

Michellehu - you are doing so great! Keep it up girl. Your casino overnight sounds fun! When is that?? Sounds perfect!

Trolly - ONEderland is an amazing place mentally, NO DOUBT! It was for me and has been for my DS14! I think you will see your 199 goal by Halloween, NO PROBLEM!

Yesterday was a good up day! It was maybe 40 over, so that is great. I didn't drink any wine, even though DH was. I am trying to DRY out a bit. Still having it on ocassionally, but not as often as I was!

DS14 has found new focus. Really counting and sticking with the numbers again. Plus adding the running 3 days a week. I think he would like to see another 10 be gone! If he lost 10 more, he would be 185. I think at 5'11" (at this moment) that is a good weight. Who knows where he will end up!

Monica--I cannot lose weight if I'm drinking regularly so I'm drying out too, which is difficult but makes me feel healthier in general. My husband popped open a bottle of Chardonnay on the paio last night and I had to just remove myself. Since it used to be such a reward at the end of the day I have replaced it with a nice, long epsom salt/lavendar bath and a good book. I am trying to focus on non-food, non-alcohol rewards. I told him that he may be drinking alone for awhile until I'm feeling stronger! But the upside is I don't wake up with gritty eyes and a headache. Just one glass and I'm a little off the next day.

Sounds like your son is doing great!

OH good thinking on the non-food rewards! Thankfully my DH opened a bottle of RED, which I do not prefer. Now, I will drink it, but it typically puts me to sleep within 20 minutes!

Hello all!!

Hope everyone is having a great night!

226.1 today!! almost to the 20 lb mark...I am hoping tomorrow.

been trying to walk at least 2-3 miles a day. 5 days in a row. Hope I can keep it going.

Tried a few new LC things the last few days...

Lindt 90% chocolate. very low carb. 1 square it net 3 carbs. I freeze it and when I crave a small sweet, I grab it and dip into some peanut butter. it is amazing!!

I also took a can of tuna, drained and added taco seasoning. used romaine lettuce as a wrap. the seasoning took away some of that fishy taste.

not sure if anyone is interested... but I was excited for some new options and thought I would share.

Have a great night!

Great job Chigirl!

When DD12 and I went bra and panty shopping just before school started I bought a bunch of bras on sale in a slightly smaller size hoping I would be able to get into them soon and they now fit!!!!!!! And The undies too

So of course I went to try on a pair of old jeans that have been mocking me, just tried them a week ago but they were still too tight in the waist and fit great everywhere else. When I tried them on last night the waist is perfect but the butt, legs, hips are all very loose baggy actually with the crotch hanging about 3 inches lower than where they should. So thats pretty darn awesome but still dont have a pair of jeans to wear. The eliptical is clearly working cause these jeans didnt fit anything like this a few years ago.

So thats my good news for the day, whats yours?

MichelleHu--great visual! love it when you have clothes that are too big!! awesome none scale reward!!! love shopping for new undies too--I just bought a Wacoal bra-my first of that brand-it is too small-but I kept it thinking I will get into it when I am at goal--they are really expensive and I got it for less than 10 dollars with a coupon and its really pretty too... too bad I never had a daughter to enjoy doing those things with--enjoy your time with your daughters girls--I have daughter envy!!

Had a good time with my friend yesterday-she was supposed to get a biopsy of her breast but they didn't know she was on Coumadin so they didn't want her to bleed--so they rescheduled it for the 27th so she could be off her Coumadin for the 5 days previous--a good thing-too bad her docs didn't communicate well-but it gave us a little time to shop and have a great talking lunch-we ate at cheddars! my second time there-they have great assortment of items-I stayed on plan and brought home enough for dinner! this gives us another chance to shop next week!

I need to do some cleaning today-and cooking-not sure what will be for dinner? any good suggestions-seems I am either mowing or in the kitchen! I want to get back on the treadmill today too--can't believe that is coming from my mouth-I feel better knowing I am doing something! surprise!

Chigirl--continue to share--I love when people share their hints and recipes--it helps all of us--keep up the good work--you are doing great!

I just wanted to share that my new breakfast obsession is a goat cheese and spinach fritatta. It is so easy and soooo good. I had one at the resort last weekend and recreated it at home. (At a fraction of the cost--as my husband pointed out to me.) I just sautee the spinach in a separate pan, beat the egg and then pour in the pan, let it set in a circle, flip and dot with cheese and spread the spinach over the top. If you cover it briefly the goat cheese gets all soft. Yum!

Yes Trolly and chigirl please keep sharing your ideas. We can get so stuck in ruts and it's that boredom that sinks us. When I first started this WOE I tried new stuff all the time and then I became lazy and just did the same ol same ol and that turned out to make me want to cheat. Since starting this challenge I have challenged myself to care again about some of my meals and I am staying on track again. This week I whipped up 2 cups of whipping cream with a package of sugarfree raspberry jello for my dessert. It is so light and fruity and moussie. I am in heaven. I split it into 4 servings. I like this way more than wiggly jello with a dollop of cream on top. This is way more adult like. Other than that I too eat 90% Lindt chocolate for my dessert. My box here says it is 3g carbs per square and 1.3g fiber, so 1.7g net carbs per square. I eat 3 squares and am so satisfied. What is shocking though is that a year ago the package use to say 3g of carbs per 3 squares. Were they labelled wrong then or now or what did they change(ingredients) to change the nutritional label numbers?????

Jeanne - that does stink for your friend. DR's! I am glad you enjoyed your day. Cheddar's is my Dad's favorite place.....LARGE portions!! If it's an up day, I have the veggie deal. It's soup and I think 3 sides! LOVE THAT!

Trolly, that sounds amazing!!!!!!!

Michelle - don't you hate when labeling changes!!!!!!! Makes you wonder what is really true

Well it is a good and bad day here. Back in 2008 when I lost the 100 lbs I went down from a size 24 to a size 12. Since then I creeped up to a size 16. Well today my ratty old size 16 jeans disintegrated. So I tried on my 14s. Well the good thing is I can now zip them up again. The bad news is they are very tight. But I'll wear them in hopes it makes me stay the course. I don't want to go out and buy another pair of 16s if in a week or two those 14s fit better. So I'll just try sucking in for the next few weeks.LOL.

Also please cross your fingers for me ladies. I filled in my paperwork to be a dog foster parent. I just had my phone interview. Tomorrow they will check my references and if I pass all that they will do a home evaluation. Maybe I will be a foster mommy soon. I think my DH is not so pleased but I'll cross that bridge if and when we get a dog. I chose to go with a senior dog rescue. They are called "Before the Bridge Senior K9 Rescue" They have a facebook page if you would like to check it out. I thought there were probably more people and families willing to help puppies and since I am so use to senior dogs my assets might lie better with them. Every dog regardless of age needs a good loving home and I hope that will be with me. So prayers please.
