20lbs by October 20! (??!!)

I've lost 50lbs since January 8th. I've consistently lost each week, even if it was only an ounce or 2. After being overweight for years, this is AMAZING.

But...
I'm bored. I've slowed down in weight loss mainly because I'm making bad eating choices, mostly just not eating enough, really. And not the right balance of protein/fat. I know what worked in the beginning, and I'm just not doing it now. And, I'm slacking on my workouts. I know exactly what I'm doing wrong. Just can't tell you why.

SO!
I've decided I WILL lose 20lbs by October 20th! Why October 20th? So that I have 11 days to shop for a cute Halloween costume of course! haha. I know myself, if I say it "out loud" I will feel MUCH more accountable. Realistic or not, it's my goal. Time to start kicking some butt! Anyone wanna join me?

I'll join with you. That is three months and a few days from now with the right calorie deficit and exercise I think 6.5 lbs a month is doable. We just have to keep in mind weight loss is not linear so even if 20 doesnt show on the scale (the tape measure is more an accurate barometer) we are that much close to our goal weight as long as we stick to plan and dont deviate.

I hope so. I've slowed down. And, I know why I've slowed down. The frustrating part is I can't kick my own butt out of this slow down.

I'm hoping by putting it out there I re-motivate, and I have to say, since declaring it, I feel a new determination. Silly the things our brains do, eh?

hold yourself accountable each night. I sit down and do my macros using one of those sites. If I went over by a little bit I try harder the next morning.

What's hard for me is my wife while is ok with my eating the way I do now, she isn't interested. So of course we have lots of junk in the house. BUT she also makes sure I have my own "junk" in the house also. Tonight for snack was Boursin cheese on top of cut up pastrami (since I don't eat crackers. Total carbs roughly 4g for all that I ate.

I am so with you also.... was just sitting here feeling miserable tonight and wondering why I do what I do to myself. My goal is 30 lb. by then since I have been off plan a while now and at my weight..... it sounds completely doable. Guess I will have to weight in the morning That is 13 weeks and 3 days or 94 days until Oct. 20

I will join too.I was doing well until about 3-4 weeks back we were all down with flu and a bad tummy bug ..ugh.
I kicked myself out of ketsis and can't seem to recommit again.I feel like crap not being on plan,I am bloated and has regained at least 5 lbs that I lost with great hardwork.
I wish I could lose 30 lbs in 13 weeks, but I know thats just wishful thinking.September mid we have a gettogether and I need to lose 20 to fit into a favorite dress. At least I can try.losing even 10 lbs is actually better than what I am doing to myself right now...sabotaging my hard work.So I am in.... tomorrow is day 1 for me.

I hit 174 this morning - so 1lb off just since posting the other day. I WILL make that 20 gone by Oct. 20, I'm determined! 155 here I come! And, I'll certainly take more

Funny how just declaring your intention to other people can renew your determination!

Good luck to the rest of ya! We've totally got this!!!

I'll give it a try! I just restarted LC on Wednesday after getting some not-so-great results on the blood work from my physical. I'm down 1.5lbs, which is a good start. I'm typically a slow loser though, 5lb a month is about my max. But that would give me at least 15lbs and I'd be happy with that, more is just a bonus.

I'm in! I'm down 9 pounds since June 2nd. It went slow until I started tracking everything I ate on June 27th. Amazing how well tracking is keeping me accountable! I think I could do 20 lbs by 10/20 if I have motivation. You all sound like you have that!

Eta: I just updated my weight from this morning. Holy cow...I'm down 10 lbs!!!

I suffer from the same affliction, I hate it. I have to put deodorant under there in the summer . It's shrinking but I don't know if it will ever be tight again. I have promised myself a tummy tuck when I get to goal because I really believe it is just going to be a layer of hanging, loose skin when it's all over.

I'm in!!! I've been low carbing since July 17 (6 days) and this morning I was down 10lbs. I lost quick on this diet. I did it a few years back and lost 50lbs total. 30 of them coming off the first month. My goal is to lose 40 by October. 10 down...30 more to go!

Can I join in? I need to seriously get my act together....I lose weight best if I stick to LC, but I mess it up by mixing up with other diets (low fat, intermittent fasting etc) My family have booked an all inclusive holiday in 10 weeks time. My DH, DD (20) and DS (21) - they are all lean and fit - we love to spend time together and this is the first holiday we've had for a couple of years...I'd love to lose 20 pounds (at least!) and feel more comfortable about myself.

(We're going to Lanzarote in the Canary islands...DH is doing an Ironman 70.3 race)

Yes!! Join in!!

I've got 19 more to go. Had a bit too much fun over the weekend, and slowed myself down a bit.

Oh well, at least there wasn't a gain. Thrown myself back onto induction for a couple weeks just to get back into the swing of things the right way.

Since I started back on LC on a Wednesday, I'll make that my official weigh-in day. So far I'm down 1.5lbs, which is pretty typical for me. Oh, and my starting weight was 194.5, not 1945 like I first posted.

Whoop! I weighed in this morning...202 and not 200 as I thought...but we have body composition scales and I can see that I'm way up in water...it's very warm here at the minute (for Ireland!!) and my rings are all tight.

I've my food organised from breakfast to lunch and I'll think about supper later.

5lbs in 2 days? I wish I could lose weight that quickly. That's more like what I'll lose in a month. Sigh.
